Freespace 2 was a sensational game, and with the OpenGL mod it looked really good as well. The level builder FRED (and who doesn't love a good level builder!) was quite comprehensive and you can build some quite complex levels with it including capital ships. Keep up the good work, love your channel.

I think the cinematic camera focuses on what you're currently selecting. So if you want to look at a particular unit or individual soldier, select it. If you don't select anything, it just focuses on anything

The FPS problems are shots being fired at the ground, exploding dirt and such. Just make sure to always position your soldiers in a way they can actually shoot the enemy and not the ground and you wont have any FPS problems at all. (Be aware, 3 full units of clones shooting a cliff completely froze my game multiple times)

the clone wars campaign is the largest but the only one with all the heroes and special units. also here is a good tip. you want to focus down on upgrading your space stations over all the planets that have republic export centers and Malestare because of the Tibana gas extractors. also the moment you start you want too find and build all the export centers and the tibana gas extractors, they are your main source of income. this is all the republic side stuff. there is also a lot of neutral planets, but only the confederacy can conquer them.

+Rouge Shadow, actually you can garrison the neutral planets. And the other part is that the A.I. is horrendously stupid on the campaign map. Ground battles are easy to win too with few AT-TE's squad of troopers, some artillery, and of course laats.

+Rex_teh_first joust dont drop troops on the planet, they vanish into thin air and heros go poop forever. so if your gonna garrison neutral planets go space only.

Wile technically not canon at the moment Alpha ARCs were trained by Jango, The Clone commandos like Delta and Omega were trained by mandos, and Then you have the Null ARCs, which are better than the Alpha ARCs, were trained by Kal Skiratta. Also can we expect a play through of this to start with in a year or two?

You could argue about Nulls being better then Alphas but they were far more badass and unpredictable. Have you read the books by Karen Traviss about them? Highly recommend! ;]

With the arc troopers I recommend taking off the auto attack with the grenades I have watched a few and that is usually how they end up dying. And almost everything can shoot at the LAATs so they aren't as effective as raw, but the venators sadly aren't as effective either but they still wreck but need to be in a group

I think its going to be a long war to free the republic again commander shack.... This mod has some special republic battleships for you that you will come to love. hefty price tag though 13500 per battleship. you can build like 2 and a half venators for the cost of one battleship. but one battleship fights like 4 venators. Looking forward to the fight for freedom commander.

I'd love to see a campaign shack, but personally i want to see you play the CIS since last time you played the republic, i can't help it i love the bad guys xD. Though technically it could be argued the CIS weren't really bad guys (not counting the higher ups) just planets fed up with corruption and greed and decided to strike out on their own.

I'd love to see you do a campaign of this mod, I myself have played out 3 campaigns of this mod :). Also terrain height matters in this mod(air units/attacks/artillery are a exception), So clones/droids can see units but they end up shooting the ground instead. ex: clone troopers on a hill see a group of b1 droids they can't hit them unless they go down to them,and vice versa b1 droids aiming at clones up hill they will just hit the hill instead.

Yeah, Freespace 2 is a great game! My fav space shooter ever actually. Great with the Mediavp packs that redo all the textures. Makes the game look like it was made in 2008 instead of 1999.

+TheXPGamers tech 2 or 3, but yes, but once you reach 5 there is a pretty good model on him of his episode 3 armor, and the at-tes walk a little fast than in raw, and the gameplay is a little different, because for some reason the AI has no idea how to tech up, but in the beginning they put up a great fight, and I don't know if you can just start on tech 4, however that would make them start with the malevolence, and you really with nothing, CIS only has 4 tech levels, but the republic AI puts up a fight it just doesn't go on the offensive for a while
