I totally disagree. I don't see any brokenness. The young man had reason to doubt her. She ignored his reprimands against visiting an ex, a neighbour with whom she had had a romantic relationship. She turned him off by making 'murder' threats which she said she made in jest. A positive DNA result does necessarily make the doubter's character faulty.
