Loving the concept behind you have made your other robotic band members when in lockdown. Hence showing not only do your songs have story behind them, but so does the concept behind the band members etc. A nice way to tie everything together.
You look great John! Congratulations on the weight loss, that's such a victory. And congratulations on focusing on mental health. It's been really interesting for me in adulthood to realize how many other people also battle ADHD and even borderline autism. It feels like we don't have to hide it anymore, which is huge. Keep being an amazing person!
I can't make it to the concert next week, but I hope it goes well! Hope one day I can see you perform live! I think the robot performers are a great idea! They tie into John Sprocket's backstory of being an inventor, and I don't think anyone's going to mistake them for Steam Powered Giraffe's musical automatons or assume you're copying the idea. I wish you all the best with regards to your mental and physical health!
As someone who also has had similar ADHD issues (and other mental and physical whatnot, but that's not in scope here), I can relate to a lot of what you said, and I'm really happy to see that you're letting yourself be yourself and are working towards your self-improvement goals. Keep treating yourself well and let your mind and voice be open, and you'll definitely see massive improvements to quality of life and other aspects, and there's no shortage of people around you who are willing to help you out when you need it. Full steam ahead, my friend. You've got this.
Glad to hear the news all around! Really happy for you musically and personally. I've been trying to make similar changes to my eating habits as well. It's not the easiest thing, but I have confidence in both myself and you, Captain.
I can relate to your story so much John! I’m currently in college right now and I too have ADHD and trying to finish homework can be difficult. But working on poetry, music, learning German/cursive and many more activities was so much more fun and seeing the progress I made is so worth it ( I still don’t know how I managed to release 2 aphorisms/weird poetry books on Amazon). It makes me so happy to see that your health has improved so much 😄. I’m so glad I stumbled upon Cog a few years ago. Thank you again for sharing John ❤❤
Thank you for reminding me that the Black Labrinth had come out. December was not a good month for me and there were several things I had to put to the side and wait on.
(I'm so mad....I had a huge comment written out....and I hit a button....and now it's gone) BASICALLY ADHD know a lot about it was diagnosed at 7/8 and w/ ADD. John you are amazing you are not alone in this especially w/ the ADHD and the weight loss journey. Also knew you were on the Voltaire album and knowing that just made my Heart freaking SOAR. You are fantastic!!! Keep it up.
I relate to how you feel i have adhd and autism i recently have been unmasking my autism because I realize it's better to undo my mask. it's hard for me to be in school but I'm glad i have good friends and so i hope thngs are going well for you because I'm a fan of you
