This makes me think of an extremely paranoid man who has a phobia of pink and elephants, due to a traumatizing childhood experience (being caught in, and barely surviving, an enraged elephant stampede while visiting the circus as a child - the fear of pink comes from the cotton candy he got at the circus on that particular day). And ever since that day, he suffers from seeing hallucinations of hordes of monstrous pink elephants following him around and threatening to crush him. You guys did a a great job.
You may be interested in the Camp Here And There podcast! It's a story about a character with psychosis-- when he is stalked by a man in an elephant mask, people assume he is once again "seeing pink elephants" and write off the very real danger.
This version and the V Is For Villains cover are the most awesome versions of this song I've ever heard! Now if I could just get an Abney Park cover next, my collection will be complete!
I was absolutely not expecting this, specially since this song was my introduction to this channel but… it’s incredible!! I love this song and the emotion you put in it is exactly what I was searching for in a “Pink elephants on parade” cover. Thank you so much for this, it’s wonderfully done.
In 2011 i was in steampunk and i loved from you the death of the cog, and vernian proces, and some other bands. Thank you, and i wish we will have much more fun in the future. Thanks
and then you realise that Tony The Tiger 🐅 and The Man who voiced a Cartoon Rabbit 🐰 (and Bugs is not only Looney Tunes he voiced) sang The Original Pink Elephant Song
OMG this is too amazing to be real! Fantastic work. I was listening to Voltaire and similar artists on Alexa when this song suddenly appeared. I was thinking "Man I wish there was more music like Voltaire" and bam. Lately I've been obsessed with Jim Carrey's latest role as Dr. Eggman, wondering... _'what is it?'_ I guess you call that steampunk. ^_^
God I was afraid of that section of the movie when I was a little kid. xD Another Disney "nightmare song" I'd love to see is "Heffalumps and Woozles" from the OG Winnie the Pooh.
I feel as though it keeps to the true orignal version but with a little bit of a Tim Burton edge unlike the one they used for the live action. I have to say the original and this cover are tied in first place for me 2nd would be Circus Contraption
If this tune turned up in my head when unresponsive drunk (watching pink elephants) I might actually enjoy drinking more. But unfortunately not. So I'll have to continue enjoying responsible drinking listening to such music as this instead.
