Also the reason neck knives come on a ball chain is if someone grabs it, it'll break away so they cant choke you like with cord.

I've been looking for something to rip up really thick cardboard boxes that my utility knife won't work well with. This serrated mini tanto looks great for that purpose. Thanks for review!

I’ve always overlooked these knives but after seeing them up close, I think they might be winners. The Bowie is my fav of the two. You mentioned a good point about Cold Steel’s sheaths. They will dull even a 3V blade if one is not careful to avoid rubbing the edge. Stupid glass filled nylon sheaths. Many KaBar sheaths are the same. Great vid brother.

The sheath contains fiberglas. That is why it is getting dull. Kydex would not do that😑

Just got the Mini Tac Bowie today. Haven't used it. But I think this summer when camping and fishing, it will be very handy. Easy to deploy.

These are awesome 😎 knifes but trying to carry them are trying to find something to carry them on your belt. Like the tanto with seated blade. They have a nice trip as well.

All of the Bowie mini tacs are wiggle-free in the sheath however all of the tanto style blades have a tiny bit of wiggle. It’s less that they aren’t created equally and more that they are simply different knives released under the same line.

And I honestly don’t see this as a problem since I consider tanto blade to be a purely aesthetic device that provides little to no functionality over other blade shapes. They just look good because straight lines and geometry.
