The stars on the neckline are not from the Stanley Cup wins. The Chicago flag has 4 stars on it signifying 4 major events in our history. Fun fact: if Chicago got the 2016 Olympics, it would've been the 5th star.

the very first nhl jesey i ever bought was a ccm/gunzo's behn wilson chicago blackhawks jersey back in 1985. i've added other jerseys over the years (nothing close to your awesome collection) and it's still my favorite jersey.

The hawks have such a beautifully simple jersey. Nothing to change about it. I think I own about six hawks jerseys now. I’ve got an adidas Hossa which is my favorite, a sixties Hull, a premier Towes, a premier Kane, a st Patrick’s day Towes, and the circle logo one with the giant cream stripe. Also got a new winter classic on the way for Christmas time.

Hey THG - so just to shed some light on the neckline of the 1937 logo ccm team classics jersey - the hawks wore that style in the 2009 winter classic. The next two seasons, they wore that same jersey as a third jersey BUT added the tomahawks on the shoulders (you’ll notice they were indeed absent in the 09 Wc Game.) they also changed the laces on the collar from black to cream. When Reebok stopped producing that jersey, ccm started to sell it as a team classic. But to go in line with the retro look, they removed the nhl shield from the collar. Also, the stars on the collar of the 2016 stadium series jersey is indeed signifying the Chicago flag. Also, I hate to say it, but since a handful of years ago, the hawks logo has been chain stitched by a machine. At least the ones they sell for retail. This dates back to the Reebok edge 2.0 / indo edge jerseys. My Canadian made Koho and Reebok edge 1.0 authentics indeed have a “less flat” or more full chain stitch look

I can see now why you aren't getting the new winter classic jersey. Those first two look similar to the black and white one, but much nicer with more color.

Wow, nothing beats the Adidas white Chicago authentic. The colors really pop against the white background, and this is the only time you'll hear this sports fan rave about stitching! Just beautiful. FYI, it looks like the 1992 alternate logo is wearing lipstick, while the newer version is not.

Quick fact: The 4 stars on the Chicago stadium jersey on the collar don’t represent their Stanley cup wins (even though they did have 4 at the time) but it actually represents the 4 stars on the flag of the city of Chicago. I guess it’s just a happy coincidence but it is a nice little detail. Go look it up if you don’t believe me.

You need the 2019 Classic because it has chain stitching and it looks so different than any other hawks jersey

Hey Shannon (or anyone), How can I be sure it is the CHAIN STITCHED, HAND STITCHED jersey? I see an adidas AUTHENTIC for 79.99, size 50 on BENH SPORTS, but price seems low for the real deal. Is there a keyword or keywords to look for when trying to find the actual HAND STITCHED? Searching “hand stitched” doesn’t seem to find it. THANKS! 🙏
