Oh wow, this is actually kind of a jackpot find for us Marx Brothers fans. Considering that up till this point, the only known episode to survive of this series was the very last episode, to see someone else discover another episode is a true treat. Really awesome find.

It's so good that we can finally get to see another episode of Chico's show! And IMO this one serves his character so much better than the other surviving episode. Here he has gags! It's just a little bit wonderful and miraculous that we can watch Chico Marx as he was broadcast LIVE seventy years ago... Oh, and a bonus treat - all the sponsor ads are intact! Thank you so much.

The very first T.V. series with Andy Williams (1927 - 2012). Andy of course went on to be one of the biggest T.V., recording, and concert singers in the world....

Its fun to see how new television was at the time, and how people were still learning to work with the camera and editing.

Fantastic Find - just heard about this! I think this tops the BUCK ROGERS live ABC episode you found awhile back - and that was your best find ever!

Stanley Prager later became a producer and director {"CAR 54, WHERE ARE YOU?", "THE PATTY DUKE SHOW"}. He died of a heart attack in January 1972, shortly after his 55th birthday.

And the announcer doesn't know how to pronounce the name of the star of the show?...

Wonder whether that was deliberate, thinking the stage name's actual pronunciation would confuse the masses...?
@BaccarWozat
@BaccarWozat Год назад
It was a common mispronunciation. It's easy to get "Chicko" confused with the Hispanic "Chico" (meaning "small").

I think this show was created mainly to help Chico Marx pay off his gambling debts.

Have you read something to that effect?

@@Mikado8848 No, just that at this time that Chico had accrued massive debts from gambling and had to keep performing while his brothers were able to retire.
