Those concrete bunkers are the remnants of Camp Hale. Constructed in 1942 to house the 10th Mountain Division, I believe it's now part of the Continental Divide National Monument.
That is true!! I looked them up after I passed through there and read all about it. It was actually very interesting and a really cool place to hike through.
