Yep a lot of Korean viewers said the language Dongwoo uses is kind of patronizing/talking down to her like he’s talking to a child using a tone of familiarity. Just like the way one would talk to his little niece or cousin for example. So it’s not about what he said, but more of the way he said them.
Yes the translation didnt catch the nuance. He didnt say did you sleep well, he said did Seulki sleep well. Hence later she said that he treats her like a dongsaeng.
Dongwoo said ''did my seulki sleep well'' the translation is a mess on Netflix ( she didnt give him any hints for him to call her that way btw) i think thats the reason why she got uncomfortable specially in korea where honorifics matter a lot..... Like boy its one day into the show why you gotta pressure her like that. I dont think anything justifies for the unbearable amount of hate she's been getting that she had to turn off her comments on her insta ig and deleted thousands pf comments, why is she getting hate? Just because all men like her? She's clear in drawing a like if she's not interested and doesn't make them keep on hanging to her. I really think all that hate is uncalled for
I think she is getting hate bc of the way she acted towards him while in paradise, she wasn’t clear with her feelings towards him until they got back on the island. She also contradicts herself a lot. Plus Netflix not translating the breakfast talk her and dongwoo had in the morning also made her look bad. I’m my opinion

It's weird to expect both of them to be treated the same and actually matter of fact they were but the way they handled it was different and so was her response to them
The weird thing is that she is popular, she went viral on korean social media for her ressemblances with Suzy, and we all know how Suzy's type of visuals are extremely appreciated in Korea so it's a bit weird that she isn't getting any attention on the island but tons in real life.

Hope Park Se-jeong gets some attention and a visit to paradise. She's tanned AND very pretty. Lee So-e and Choi Jong-woo are both victims of there own bad habits hanging on to unrequited love. Wasting energy on 1 person in inferno no matter how hard they try and getting rejected, I'm finding it hard to feel sorry for them due to the closed outlook they came with on the show. They both need to quickly change strategy before the end of the show or risk just being boring, stalkers and dead wood. Nadine is my favourite. Navigating between Korean and English on her dates is so cute. Would like to see how it goes with Kim Jin-young. He's like an onion with layers to peel and it takes the right person for the reveal. So mysterious!
That's not really fair for So-e and Jong-woo. Unlike Si-hun in s1, they were literally led on. The guy So-e liked kept saying he was curious about her and was interested until SHE had to approach HIM when he embarrassed her by then not choosing her. At first I get the point on Jong-woo but Seul-ki literally hasn't given any hints. She's literally told him she would have chosen him for the Paradise date (which is obviously a lie). Also the reason Sejeong and Seul-ki are both annoying is because they both give off the vibe that they think they're better than others. Sejeong literally called herself hot and said she had a s*xy body... modesty is attractive. That's what makes Nadine, Seo-eun etc. likeable - they're down to earth. Same for Seul-ki, though I forgot exactly what she said in her intro. Also Sejeong literally went to go talk to Jinyoung RIGHT after Nadine said she wanted to.
Seul-ki already started peeling that onion with his permission and got a low-key commitment. They seem to see inside each other. Check out the unspoken as well as the spoken words. Their chemistry is off the chain and wait until they get in sync even more. It may even be after the show. Nadine is quality fish out of water...she liked the Doc but he was turned off by a long-distance relationship and her workload. Game over.
For Soe..she isn't even that bad?? And the glasses guy is a coward in my opinion..the man is kicking in his damn 30s and doesn't know how to reject someone...simple words all he needs to say .. like it ain't that hard at all

I find Seul-ki very boring and basic personality wise but understood her situation during their date. I hate it when a guy is too pushy and wants things too fast. It is a huge turn off. I prefer things to be slow and develope naturally. I cringe hard when guy texts me "i miss you, how about you?" or "..my princess pls call me" , "i love you......why are you not saying i love you too???". I am currently in this exact situation. I want to run away, i'm starting to hate the guy. I feel too pressured, it is hard to breath. I want to reject him but he is a "snowflake", depressed easily, always negative type. I've only rejected guys with normal mental state before. I don't know how to reject a guy like that without putting him in deeper "emo" state. It sucks.

He is much younger than me and just seems like a lost kid, or someone who hasn't fully learned social cues or how to act around women. He told me many of his past experience with women which all ended badly with him being dumped. (last girl dumped him for being poor and living in a very shabby place) I am more mature and earn enough for myself, i could pay for our dates, i don't care about guys education or job. I am not looking for a future partner right now. He probably have never dated with someone like me. Now he thinks that we can build a future together , i would be perfect life partner or smthing. I like Seulki. She’s honest and not too pushy. Despite her obvious feelings for Jin-Young, she did say a while ago that she likes to take things slow but I hope that they get to spend more time together. I can understand why she got the ick with the Dong Woo, I would’ve too. I believe her awkwardness is because she’s probably a little camera-shy😂 But she’s still so cute and easy-going and is definitely beautiful. Soe is so sweet but she’s really inflicted so much pain on herself by pursuing someone who never showed any real interest in her. Sis actually seulki is not that pick me girl she is trying her best to adjust to everything. Although the situation was very awkward thats not her fault.Its just that the boy is giving a lot of pressure on her which makes her uncomfortable. And also she rejected him when she is sure that she is not into him which means she is not a red flag. The reason why she doesnt know how to respond to him is bc she didnt have enough experience in relationship(she has dated for only once).Thus she finds it hard to say dumping words and thats understandable.

Seul gi totally took advantage of dung woo to go to paradise she could have choosen Jung wo but she didn't cuz he already likes her later when she's bored she can go with him. I disagree. The very first episodes she was clearly interested in dongwoo but after their paradise date everything went downhill. Dongwoo was pressuring her and somehow seemed talking down to her which turned her off. So almost everyone understands her situation. Dongwoo was very pushy and annoying.
