Yeah, Seph lightweight for "balance" is just sakurai giving the middle finger to that character and their fans. Min Min has 2.5 times more range than Sephiroth, way way less lag and she is a medium weight :D. Kazuya has it all, basically. Pyra who si considered "slow" has less lag than Sephiroth. Hit's harder or as hard as regular Sephiroth and without the need of a tipper mechanic. She also weights more :D.

@@Yokai_Yuri In trade, he gets a significantly better disadvantage than every character you mentioned, some of, if not the BEST tools at getting off ledge in the game, better edge guarding, some of the most commanding shield pressure in the game, and mobility. Worth it to me

@RICKY HERNANDEZ yeah...except Sephiroth's dlc mode is inconsistent while Terry's ia infinite as longas he is 100% and beyond, and since Terry is as heaby as bowser, that is not a disasvantage. Sephiroth dies midway before his dlc mode even activates 🤣🤣 complete garbage design right there. I think it is intentional

@@Yokai_Yuri you have….no idea what you’re talking about. Firstly Sephiroths OWA isn’t inconsistent there is a calculator for it that is based on seph’s damage and his stock lead/disadvantage. Sephiroth has extremely good survivability due to his zoning play style that doesn’t call for him to put himself in risky positions at kill percents due to him being able to outspace most of the cast. So yes he does get OWA much before dying if the seph is playing well. If you’re a stock behind as seph you can get it at mid percents 2 stocks behind you can get it around 20-30% and it doesn’t go away until you die or kill them(sometimes it doesn’t go away even after you kill them). OWA is leagues above GO meter. it gives him a 3rd jump, armor on smash attacks, more damage and knockback, and increases movement speed giving him top 6 run speed I believe. It’s actually broken.

@@Yokai_Yuri Terry is nowhere near superheavy weight. If he was, he might actually be broken (plus give him an actual recovery). Sephiroth’s OWA usually come out in time before he loses his stock (around 70-80% generally) whereas Terry can often be gimped before he reaches 100 which is extremely sad. 110-120% is usually kill% for Terry if a character has any decent kill options so you usually die around then.

@RICKY HERNANDEZ I think according to riddles himself Sephiroth might be Terry’s worst matchup in the whole game if the opponent spaces his fairs and f-tilts well. I might’ve gotten it confused with Kazuya but I don’t believe he’s made a matchup chart for Kazuya yet. So basically he’s afraid of risking having his terry run into a top 3 Sephiroth player. Although I have no idea why Ken would be a better pick than Terry (I don’t know a thing about shotos)

Most players that use Seph and lose game 1 inmediately switch. Seoh isn't viable as a main character. He's kinda like a counterpick secondary character thanks to his bad design

@@colt4531 Tweek has improved A LOT recently though, but yeah. Riddles is very young still. He just finished highschool I think so he has a lot of room for improvement. But Tweek is better than Riddles, you can even see Tweek shaking his head a few times when riddles whiffs certain things. Like "You really thought that would work man?"

I'm not sure if Riddles is still stuck in the U.S. currently, but I know that he missed his flight home to Canada because Covid test results took too long to come in, and since his passport was stolen, he's stuck unless he finds another flight or something. All that on top of losing his switch and the prize money he had just won... It really sucks.
