Absolutely LOVE Punkitt's style, ponies, and humor. I must say that you do their comics justice in your equally hilarious animations! Voices are great, music's great, expressions are top-notch... it's all wonderful. You rock, woohoo! Never thought we'd be graced by such high quality content in the year of our beautiful Goddess Celestia, 2023. Keep 'em coming!
This is how I fear myself to be when I tell someone I commissioned just to fix one little thing (like the color, or add something) that’s probably not a big issue for them at all. But I fear that they’re gonna hate my ass afterwards. 😅
A little fix is never the issue, it's an issue when you're making the person start again from the beginning without any level of compensation for any of their work and lying about approving the different stages.
A minimal change is fine, going back and forward all the time is so disrespectful, specially if you both agreed that the sketch wip was fine previously (that's the moment to talk about big changes like poses, perspective, style, etc). I don't like when commissioners literally don't know what they want and are really vague... too much pressure. I love when they give me references, it's clearer. Overly specific commissioners can be a bit challenging, but at least the idea is clear. Then you have people who hates your style but they want you to draw something (?)... and people who won't read the sheets with the things you aren't willing to draw for them or prices... It's hard to be polite sometimes but it's what you gotta do
I get terrified of pissing off an artist because one of my past artists just kinda did what she wanted and got mad at me for telling her how my character is supposed to look
And this is why I take payment upfront (with progress shots while clients' commissions are being worked on.) When you agree to payments after the fact, you'll end up with all sorts of people refusing to pay after you just spent hours or even days of hard work making something to their specifications. And after I had to deal with a super difficult & creepy client refusing to pay, when I was offering commissions for under $5 at the time, I decided I'd had enough. Raising my prices to better reflect the time & energy I spend on my work (while still keeping them affordable) & requiring payment upfront has helped a lot to weed out the assholes.
Wow you are astonishingly fast with these ridiculously high quality skits haha You're gonna make it hard deciding which to vote for in January's top 10 list
@@Makakaka On a side note I really love sigma mare and I think I was reccomended your channel on RU-vid by I think the video where the mane 6 bully you aka Makaroy. Autocorrect gave me Markarov. I can't be certain if that's how I discovered your channel but you do make good videos like really good. They are funny and great and that is all.
0:52 "and we cannot display it at *OUR SHOW,* my dear." That's the worst kind of commission, the kind where you *CAN'T REFUSE or your reputation will take a hit.* Especially if you're not famous enough to turn the tables on these kinds of commissioners and point out that they're very nitpicky to the point that other artists should avoid them like the plague and they're the ones who can't cry foul if that interaction is shown to other people.
Rarity's brain during this animation: There are no fingerprints Deep under water Nothing to tie one to a crime And if you seek vengeance All you need are instruments of pain You need your: Knives? check. Rope? check. Dagger? check. Chains? check. Locks? check. Laser beams? check. Acid? check. Body bag? check. Also didn't expect to be rick roll'd by Flutterguy, I love it
Honestly, sometimes you can get away with showing a customer the same product they just saw, no changes and they love it. I had to get a "new" iced tea for a customer (she said it tasted old despite being just freshly brewed) once and I just went inside and came back out with the same one. She claimed it was perfect 👌
This is a perfectly spectacular and sensational animation as always Maka i love it! once again everyone did a truly glorious job putting this together make no mistake about it, simply masterful work guys major kudos to you all!!!
Omg this is hilariously fitting haha- the universal struggle of independent artists 😭 I just discovered your skits and they're unique, dynamic and funny. Great animation, art, scripting, voice acting and music choice. Instant sub dude. Also I wasn't expecting to hear "California Dreamin'" in here and I'm loving it lmaoo
