The caltrop moment (21:10) was so unexpected and hype. It was pretty much the cherry on the cake to solidify TCW as a memorable event. Honestly, if I were the T.O. of this event, I couldn't have hoped for a more epic moment than this for grand finals.

Gio Best a very good assumption. There's plenty of top players in several fighting games that are also very good with instruments. And they are usually guitar and piano. Player execution can develop from a lot of non videogame related things
What I love about these tournaments is how much self control these players have. I mean I would start cursing the moment I get caught into a vortex or punishment haha!
He switched to kung lao because last time he had to go up against Fox's Erron Black he beat him with him which put Fox in the losers bracket. I guess Fox studied him after that lost. It's amazing how he lost to Djt and then came back stronger and won the entire tourne..Sonic is a god
King3005 _ Fox decided to cheapout with the command grab. I just watched the DJT (Kung Lao) and Sonic match where he went to the loser bracket, and he didn't even use the command grab against DJT. It wasn't his study of DJT who is a very aggressive player, it was fox finding cheap moves to gain the upper hand.

lahoevo3gsr Johnny cage isn't cheap. Everyone just saw DJT's johnny cage and probably the first tournament johnny that they've seen and instantly say the character is broken (typical of the massive casual community). Then he gets a ruinous nerf. Everything else i agree with.
@@calebpascual7534 ive learned that when youre in chip territory, being unpredictable is your best option, wake up bacl dash, wake up neatral, wake up run, wake up buttons, wake up run under, or wake up run up grab, delaying in chip territory is only asking to be killed

demoflow that's why you do stab now as a combo ender I don't know the exact frame data but you're at least +20 after it. command grab is still not useless I use it if I need the damage or to cancel into it during 21122 since it is brutally hard to make it whiff and gives you free 13% damage + good positioning so nothing wrong using it post patch.

Sonic.🐯 has a heart of a lion, cause for him to loose and go true the looser bracket and return to Win the tournament is literally amazing.😺 especially knowing the fact that he lost in such a devastating fashion, couple that with the fact that he had to face MIT, who was dancing around when his brother won, and the fact that he had to face off with him, than face off with saltface who eliminated Afoxygrandpa, than face of again that amazing Kung Lao player. Not to mention that apparently the whole crowd wanted him to loose, he practically took on the whole Yomi clan single handedly and defeated all there high level players. That was one of the most amazing thing I've ever witness.🐹

To be honest after that lost of 3-0, I personally didn't even know what he could of possibly do? to win especially with 6 matches, but it was like Rocky, when Apollo said I of the Tiger Rock or like when he said there is No tomorrow. .....Man am blown away!
I remember I watched this video without having played any mkx at all, and then i went to a party with some friends, and they had mkx and have been playing it for a bit. So I picked up the game for the first time, picked fisticuffs Cage and just absolutely wrecked everyone. The salt was so real one dude even said it was unfair and refused to play me. The last straw was when he figured out the b12 thing has pushback and decided to wait it out. And so then i started staggering it unpredictably and getting back in his face lmao. Controllers were thrown. Ah, thanks for the good memories, djt.

@@kingfargo9578 Yes, but Johnny Cage WAS actually broken. It was DJT who figured out that back1212121212121212 with fisticuffs buffs is broken and he used it on fox specifically for this event. It was patched right after too because everyone knew how bad it was. The chip damage you get on block, the meter you build, and, the combo it leads into, it was broken. Also added on with the fact that johnny cage had a low, and overhead mixup, and can break any wake up armor at the time too. Also, Erron Black was not the best character at the tourney. Kung Lao was, and was for a while all the way till evo. Erron Black was a solid 3rd-5th best. He was only THAT good because SonicFox adapted his erron black to every opponent.

Just like you said Sf made EB seem broken, well same can be said for DJt with Johnny. Erron black was definitely the best char at the time. Mans had like 4-5 different options off 1 STRING, 50/50s, god like pokes, great pressure, and a fucking armored command throw. Laos is a great char, and was most OVERUSED, but I wouldn’t say he was the best in the game. He always been top 7 tho.

Again I have to give it up to Sonic.🐯 I watched the whole thing and he came in and was completely demolished, I mean 3-0, I've never seen Sonic get swept like that and he lost in a very impressive fashion, it wasn't even close. I've personally never seen a string where it's almost unstoppable, I mean once he gets you in the corner is almost as if you can just put the controller down because you just lost that round. I mean I thought Raiden was a difficult character to against just because of the amount of damage he can from one combo. But Johnny Cage definitely takes the cake.🐴

Looks like you had never saw Sonic's Tanya Pyromancer. Just use the logic bro, if those moves works than the player has no reason stop doing it. Also, in tournaments everything is valid, yet tournaments rewards like $10,000; nothing is pointless.
They're both your own fault. If you can't stop a move then why would I not do the move. It's easy for the loser to make excuses about the other player not having "dignity" instead of facing the fact that they weren't prepared or good enough.
Djt should really work on his combos. I mean, he only mashes the square button, he's such a bitch. Sonic Fox is awesome. I was playing Fallout 4 but after watching this I'll go back to MK X.
+dilos flow I know that for some fighters in the rooster, the moves list is quite short, however, spam a single button has never been a good thing in my opinion.
