Yeah, Keith dosen't really fit in with others, i think. After all fo those events that has happened in his life, he would've developed an extreme fear for, like, rollercoasters, sushi and many other things. Ellis was probably his only friend that he could rely on, and Ellis helped him through all of this madness... Well, and probably some nurses... and doctors... And his own digestive organs... And alchohol... You know what i mean.
I think there is a writing in one of the saferooms where it shows. "today "keith" took down 12 special infected with his fists!" and then at the bottom of the text was "keith was killed by friendly fire"

Keith has suffered from third-degree burns over a major percentage of his body twice (95% making fireworks, 90% deep frying turkey), lost two fingers and a thumb to frostbite, broke both of his legs after driving his car off a cliff, been stabbed by "a guy dressed up like a ghost", was tear-gassed by the police (the effects of which lasted for a year), snuck a paintball gun on a roller coaster, got attacked by an alligator, bombed by the military (among the bombs, Ellis claims, were nerve gas and cluster bombs), (nearly) drowned in the Tunnel of Love, has done time in prison, got cut up by his own "bumper-car" lawnmower leaving him with wounds over 90% of his body, got cement paved over him in a sewer after falling down an open manhole, lived in a graveyard for a year after getting kicked out of his house, invented several types of soft drink, hung spit on the overhang in the Tunnel of Love, fell off a roller coaster onto the tracks with the ride still going, got a tattoo on his forehead saying "I'm a moron" for a dare, winning $200, ate three pounds of raw chicken (the in-game subtitles say catfish), he no longer recognizes his brother Paul and lost sensation in his right foot because of the three pounds of chicken, attempted to build a house out of mud, was attacked by owls, turned a recreation of Colonial times into a raccoon fight in his backyard, pretended to be homeless, had a water balloon fight with balloons full of urine, drove across a river without using the bridge, married a couple, and would have even gotten married himself, had he not ran away from his wedding. He's gotta be if he's got mower injuries on 90% of his body, 3rd degree burns on the other 95% of his body, 2 broken legs, eyes full of Tear Gas and nuclear radiation, and salmonella. Hopefully, he'll be immune to the Green Flu.

What if Keith is just Ellis’ “replacement” for his friends. They were all different people, but Ellis just remembers the experiences as “experiences with Keith.”
As a southern man, I have a friend from up north who constantly complains about us telling our life stories while we explain small things. I never noticed, because I love hearing stories and I love telling them, but after I heard him say it, I realized it was true. Ellis is the embodiment of this stereotype.
Ellis seems like such a wholesome dude. Like, he really just enjoys and treasures the stories he gets to tell others of the experiences he got to have in his life. You can imagine him and Keith doing all these wacky shenanigans together, laughing about it in the moment (save the ones where Keith's in genuine pain) and then just hanging out together, waiting for the next silly thing to happen. Plus, the fact how one of these "story voicelines" is just describing something he did with the other 3 survivors shows how he can cherish events within almost any context- that, and he's quick to bond with other people. He's just generally a good guy and always does his best to entertain others.
if Keith can survive 3rd degree burns, Biochemical Bombs,Radiation,Tear Gas,Broken bones.Then he must be Immortal which means he must of survived the The Green Flu too.
If those burns on Keith are accurate, he'd have no trouble in the Zombie apocalypse since, (A) He'll probably blend by the Zombies, and (B) His burns would've made him natural body armor against bites.
@My h3ad nah, not a leader, he doesn't really fit the leader type, he does stupid shit the leader role in left 4 dead games have an experienced person that cares for all of them despite their differences there's bill, a vet that's been through vietnam and then there's coach, he's a football coach and knows how to make a team work and then putting a southerner that does stupid shit as a leader makes it a pretty bad team
There should be a mutation called "Did I ever tell you the time..." and its Ellis and Keith and the dialog is just them telling stories to each other and the level is either existing ones or new ones.
We need a character in some other video game to be called Keith and to reference Ellis in some way. "Have I ever told you about that one time when my buddy Ellis found himself in a middle of a zombie apocalypse? Ha ha ha, what a story..."
As a person who lives in Georgia, I can actually say that I love both Left 4 Dead games for the accuracy and detail of the way that both games treat the areas. I’ve been to Savannah, Riverside, and even the city where Whispering Oaks would be if it were real. I can so easily believe that Coach and Ellis could be my next-door neighbors. The only gripe that I have is that there should be more mountains in the first map of Dark Carnival.

I was just introduced to this man minutes ago and since we're from the same place I'm obligated to love him. Pls he's so funny. These stories are great.
I like to think that between campaigns, like on Virgil’s boat and helicopters and stuff. All the survivors are sitting and talking and Ellis goes on chatting about Keith without being interrupted
I hope that L4D3 will have Keith, Whitaker, Virgil, and John and Amanda Slater. Maybe we will get to see Jacob, Sergeant Downey, Jeff and Annie, Sergeant Hendricks and his squad from the Sacrifice comics.
4:32 it seems ellis has a memory problem where he associates keith in the situation where he wasn't at. sure maybe 1-3 of those stories where true but maybe most of them are what some of his other friends besides keith did
I always purposely chose not to play as Ellis to get the immersion that I would be going through the zombie apocalypse with him as a partner. Dude is my spirit animal
Imagine if Ellis was secretly the one doing this stuff in his stories he tells around when the green flu first hit, but when he meets Coach, Rochelle, and Nick, he knows he can’t survive without them, and as to not freak out his new allies, he made up Keith as a way to hide the truth in a believable way, but slowly as time progressed he started going crazy and actually started believing Keith was real and that Keith was the one doing all these crazy stunts and such in each story, but Ellis.
If they add any other characters in Back 4 Blood one should be Keith, I wanna see peoples reactions if one of his lines are "You know my friend Ellis..."
