Yankee preaches the most peaceful Gospel I've ever heard: "Just trust Jesus and believe." Most preachers tell you to turn from sin to be saved - it's what I've heard my whole life. The Gospel message has been wrapped in bondage and presented as a works-based gospel. Where's the peace in having to turn from your sin to be saved? Where's the child-like faith (that's required to be saved)? It's not there. There's no child-like faith and no peace found in a works-based gospel. But Yankee's Gospel includes both. What a relief, the Gospel is! "Just believe He did it for you." What a light yoke! I believe I can handle that.
Pastor Jack Hibbs teaches you must turn from sin to be saved. He also teaches in his book called "Living In The Days of Deception" in Chapter 6 that if you do not follow Christ, then you do not have authentic salvation.
