Cyberforce is one of those names like Taserface that when you hear it now, you can’t help but chuckle. But for a kid in the 90’s, that was the epitome of a cool, badass name, lol.

I sure wish there were more Top Cow hardcovers like this one!! Witchblade and The Darkness have many "modern" issues that can only be found in small trades. Aphrodite plus other characters deserve some serious love too.

Now that we have books like this for Spawn and Cyberforce, we need all the early Wildstorm books collected similarly. But since they're under DC, not holding out hope.

There's an Absolute WildCATs and a Gen13 Deluxe HC but I think that's it for the early Wildstorm stuff.

There are few other miscellaneous things, like trades of the Alan Moore WildCATs, the first year of Deathblow (to cash in on Jim Lee art, same as Absolute Wildcats), and the Wildstorm Rising event. But it's all scattershot with lots of gaps and mismatched formats, and also old and out of print. We need a big meaty series of collected editions like Cyber Force to capture it all. Books like Stormwatch, Backlash, and Wetworks haven't been touched since original release as far as I know.

@@oldschoolrivethead I would be down for Stormwatch and Wetworks for sure. I might be one of the only people that like the first year or two of Stormwatch more than the Warren Ellis stufff.

@@nivekleveb8872 I thought I was the only one! :) Whatever merits the Ellis stuff might have, I think it was essentially the death knell of the intricate shared universe that Wildstorm had built up in those early years.

That page with the first view of Mother May I.... I remember just staring at the beautiful purple, gold, and blue colors for a while. It doesn't stand out as much now, but at the time Image rocked the comics world with the vibrant coloring on high-quality paper while the big two were still on newsprint.

A very beautiful comic!! Such gems should be the motivation for drawing comics in this way, not what we have now. The spine and cover is amazing. I hope that the graphic designers from Marvel are watching this video and maybe they will finally be inspired by what the spines in Marvel Omnibuses and OHC should look like. Thank you very much Omar for this presentation. It saddens me only to think that we will never again experience such wonderful drawings in comics as in this presented and others from that time.

Need this!!! Image was what got me into comics!!! I have most of those issues, but I want the HC on my shelf! Hope we get a volume 2 and 3 Lots of Dave Finch art there and I pray they print the Ballistic series (Michael Turner's first penciled series).

I had to do the Kickstarter for this one. I loved some of these old series, liked Wildcats, Cyberforce, YoungBlood. Misery was an awesome villain. Can't wait to get the Kickstarter haul.

Hey Omar thanks for spotlighting this one. Once again your review made me pull the trigger on a collected edition I wasn't sure about. Haven't read 90's Cyberforce before, but Tow Cow artists of that era clearly had a lot of talent. To this day that artistic style still connects with me. So I'm excited to read it down the road.

I'll be getting the tpb. I slept in with darkness and witchblade hardcovers unfortunately. I managed to get them in tpb so I'll be continuing to collect other titles in paperback format.

Man, Cyber Force was such a trip. I remember passing it on but getting Stryke Force instead that focused more on Stryker. Cyber Force was all Ripclaw all the time.

Yes, I remember those times when WildStorm and Top Cow were actually part of the same Image universe. It's kind of strange having WildStorm as part of DC now. This is also one I might double-dip on. I wish it was oversized though.

Yeah, I think I've got to get this book. I think I like Cyber Force better than I did Wild Cats. The story was better, and the characters were so cool. I'll take comics from the 90's any day over 2022 comics!

Kickstarted this so waiting for mine to ship. Love the art of the time with women having ridiculously long legs and waists the size of their neck. If you backed this they sent you a pdf of the whole thing a month back. So probably will be on comixology if it isn't already.

I mean it’s all subjective. When I mentioned my favorite artist of all time in my top 20 list. Some people didn’t get it. To each their own, but I love his style.

Hey Omar, The Cyberforce KS is a standard sized HC with a dustjacket. I think Marc Silvestri signs them all. Actually, that's how he sells all of his KS projects (Cyberforce, Witchblade, and The Darkness) are similar. I also made the jump to Image for the art. I personally think Top Cow was overall the best Image label. Top Cow is where I discovered the late, great Michael Turner, who came close to eclipsing Marc Silvestri with Aspen.

Not sure if this is exactly the spot for it but I just wanted to say, RIP Alan Grant. One of the underrated legends of the DC Universe. His Batman comics are right up there with Denny O'Neil, Chuck Dixon, Greg Rucka, etc. and personally I will always absolutely love his Lobo comics.

I backed this on kick starter yea the kickstarter has the dust jacket and I just wished it was oversized like an omni but hey it will work. Now some Savage Dragon Hardcovers and Wetworks and Youngblood 😮oooooooo how about a omnibus of all of Rob Liefelds short comic series he over saturated the market with. Then theres Deathblow theres so many the 90's my era 😁.

Got my copy today. Box all smashed to hell. Opened it up, and the spine is trashed. The back cover is hanging on by a thread. Safe to say I am returning it. To bad. It looked great, but while I am not to picky about my books, I draw the line with the cover almost falling off the book. No way I would have finished reading it with the book remaining in one piece.

TPB is super cheap so maybe that route. Then I'll end up liking it and wish I got the HC instead, haha. Thanks for your input!

If you want some great comics from the 90s, check out Astro City from Kurt Busiek and Brent Anderson, Milestone Media's comics (Static shock,Icon, Hardware) flash by Mark Waid, Hulk from Peter David, JLA from Grant Morrison, and anything from Vertigo.
