I grew up in the church and I have to say demons and fasting. I don't ever remember a preacher when I was growing up do a sermon on fasting. And as I matured in my walk, I was shocked at how important fasting is, when I never really heard of it except in the context of Jesus fasting, or someone in the bible fasting. But spoken of like it was an old practice, a superstition.

many ppl go around being scared of evil spirits and demons, trough Christ we should not be, actually i would argue its better for you to just sing or pray away the fear, since a moment of weakness is all they need to start to bother you... actually is kind of their job to do that. Look at when Jesus was baptized they was pretty blue skies and the sun was shinning and there were even doves descending on him..thats a stark contrast to the Old Testament evil god. they are polar opposites...as in not the same.

The book of jasher was also taken out which was also quoted in the Bible by apostles but yet we say it doesn't belong in the word of God. Have mercy on those that take out from the Bible from the words of that book because they will have no part in the tree of life their portion will be taken out. We have to understand who our enemy is in order to fight them with prayer fasting and with God's help and yet we took away those books that explain who the enemy really is. I believe there are different "types" of evil spirits, we know of numerous types of angels and so if there are fallen angels it makes sense there are also different types. As for demons, the book of Enoch speaks of them as the disembodied souls of the nephilim. That makes perfect sense when one sees that the first thing they do when possessing a body is perform all of the carnal acts - violence / gorging on food / perverse and violent sexual activity - they miss their bodies! They are stuck on this plain until the judgement.
