Ive done this and it works, but i was sick of seeing patches everywhere so i now grow grass in buckets and use a plugger and replace the brown patches with grass
Have always trained my dogs to go in a specific area. That area has pea gravel about 3cm or 1.5 inches deep. Solved all my issues as I had tried most everything else to stop the burn.
We have 3 dogs, all pee in pretty much the same area of the lawn and we have no bad patches thankfully ! They are all on the same diet though so no idea if that's the actual contributing factor or not but I'm grateful it's not an issue !
Hi robbie. Great video. I have a patch of grass that's in quite a shady spot, and it seems to take forever to drain. It's boggy and the grass really struggles to thrive. Any advice, please? Thank you.
What if its someone else's dog using your lawn to pee in and you don't know its happened until the burnt patches have appeared. Is there anything to put on the lawn to stop the dog from using your lawn as a toilet? Your help is greatly appreciated!!!
Rocks dont work. Pills or supplements dont work either. For me and my two big dogs the watering can has been 100%effective. However u have to actually be very vigilant. About 1 liter will do. When i dont see it happen it burns and i must patch it but its rare
Dog rocks do not work. Two things I find have worked, first is feed the lawn so it is strong and can withstand the high nitrogen, and second is the watering can method.
Unfortunately customers don't understand and think it is my problem and that i should have a magic fix. suggestions to change the dogs diet , give it plenty of water or to train or walk the thing fall on deaf ears. it implies that they are bad owners (which they often are). I dont see much point in remedying it if the dogs are going to continue to use the area as a toilet. I have suggested to customers to create an area for the dog to use and train it do do so. lots of detached houses have a sort of dead space between the houses which isn't of much use but can be penned in easily with a small doghouse with a bit of bark. ive suggested creating an area like this to customers but nobody gets it. they all want me to fix it with some sort of magic bullet. Theres no magic bullet. the dog needs to stop using the lawn as a toilet or its going to get wrecked. This is becoming a bit of a rant about customers unrealistic expectations, like people complaining that seed isnt growing quick enough while not watering, or complaining that regenerative work looks "ugly" immediately after it has been done. Some people wont listen and they think that because they are paying you, then it is your job to perform miracles.
@@Premier_lawns_officialthe worst offenders wouldnt care. you can tell with how bad their gardens are that the poor thing isnt getting walked at all and the dog is just getting dumped in the garden unsupervised when it annoys the owners. they then complain about how the dog is hyperactive. some people shouldnt be dog owners if they dont want to take the responsibility. Customers like that dont last long as i usually get fed up of them for not picking up the dog mess anyways
@spiderbootsy you have to be strict with clients and dog crap otherwise they just take the p themselves. I have a rule, once they get a fools pardon then after that we stop the service
NEED NEED NEED THIS VIDEO 🤦♂️ Bane of my life keeping ours off the lawn. Even worse when other members of the family don’t care and just let him out there 🫠 Q: I’ve done the tips but didn’t know about the wetting agent part. Am I screwed? 😂
