Fire is either the most peaceful, or the most dangerous, When you learn it, you dance on the line of Humanity, and Savagery. The dragons were the humans teachers, then they taught themselves.
@@Someone-qi3zz No problem My nephew, this is information not even Zhao knew about, also the fire nation history did not start with Fire lord Sozin, It started by the kemurikage an ancient spirit.
i can’t express how much love i have for all of the elements. every single one of them has amazing traits and this show really shows all those of those. can’t even choose a favorite one. maybe air or fire. 🌪🔥 as always, thanks for this series. G.
Yeah cause it's not like techniques get taught and naturally spread, It's also not like LoK takes place in the INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION where ideas and techniques spread the most
@@cheek3664 yeah, I'm just kinda bummed cus the philosophy behind lightning bending just gets discredited just because it's already modern, cus like even zuko can't lightning bend, because his philosophy was different with the criteria to lightning bend
ATLA is where I get so much of my life wisdom from. This show is truly one of the great classic masterworks of humanity. Please, I want to hear about Earthbending next, and the concept of Neutral Jing.
I really like how in the Final Agni Kai, one of Zuko’s fire blasts look suspiciously like two dragons spinning around each other, and also that that’s the first moment in the show where Azula gets scared by anything.
Fire - Yin and Yang at it’s purest state but it’s all energy and motivation is the fuel. It can be either a A breath of life of creation Or Weapon of mass destruction
I have a theory that Zuko could firebend in the cooler in the boiling rock when no one else could because he was taught to use his ‘inner fire’ by the dragons. So when the outside fire (heat) was removed, he was able to source the energy for his bending from himself.
To be fair, I'm pretty sure the cooler doesn't take it away from other Fire Benders. Every Fire Bender has an "inner fire/heat" to them, some just tap into/use it better than others with practice and understanding So I'm sure other Fire Benders can bend Fire in there as well, but maybe not as easily perhaps.
Well, he is seen using that technique during the battle at the Northern Water Tribe, so i don't think it's related to that inner fire lesson he learned from the dragons
Fire, is one of the greatest and most impressive bending. Controling your emotions and using your energy allows you to bend fire, it's like it is connecting with you and your purpose, such as zuko's. Its my favourite bend❤️🔥
Iroh’s second voice actor did a great job in my opinion. I couldn’t even tell there was a second voice actor until this year, and for me that’s a great thing. It was only until I saw them compared to each other that I realized that Mako had a smoother, less raspy voice.
it's like boxing or any martial art for that matter , it doesn't matter that you know how to hit well if you are not breathing you are not getting anywhere
ATLA + LOK theory: combustion bending is actually a type of lightning bending but they can control the explosions cause by failure to lightning bend like how Zuko failed. This is also backed up by how there are two beams when combustion bending which are positive and negative energy.
Wow this was an amazing video, what I loved was how Aang and Zuko discovered the truth about Firebending. Also how Firebending is represented by the dragon dance. I would love to see a complete history of Airbendering next.
Sun warrior fire bending inspires that fire is life, that, is a drive. A drive for fire bending SO much more powerful than rage. You can see how graceful the fire bending is, you can see it is more fluent. More powerful, like a solar flare from the sun itself.
after watching the ATLA episode where Zuko and Aang learn from the dragons it gives so much credence to when Iroh told Zuko that fire comes from the breath, into energy, then expelled through the body.
So, also just realized wan wasn’t just the original avatar, he was the progenitor of bending as a martial art. He invented the bending styles by studying the original benders.
Random thought. If Iroh is now a spirit, and the spirit portals are always open, doesn’t that mean he could come to the mortal realm whenever for as long as he wants. I would love to see a comic were Iroh reunites with Zuko.
Ama be honest, I still wish we got more of Aang's journey after ending the war, but I guess no one else could best a fully realized avatar Aang back then. P.s. Even just air bender Aang was a hand full to the point he demonstrated why the fire nation had to attack when the comet boost their powers. Otherwise, they couldn't hope to fight the air benders and win.
I've always known that fire was colorful but until I saw the episode where Zuko and Aang meet the two dragons and end up in a flame vortex, I never knew it could be purple. That's awesome! Ps, I will always adore Uncle Iroh!
anyone else confused, you guys know how aang died in book 2 and got brought back to life by katara, but wouldn’t that mean that while he was dead another avatar was born. so does that mean there were 2 avatars?
In that sense, Aang hadn't experienced a "complete" death - more than likely he was suspended in a form of limbo which, considering he WAS transitioning into the Full Powered Avatar State when he was shot down by Azula's lightning, would make sense. He hadn't been definitively killed but he wasn't totally alive neither at that time until Katara revived him. Hope this made sense! 🙏🏾
Firebenders are unique in Avatar universe. If they can't bend the energy itself, they are able to manipulate it. Differently from other benders, firebenders don't use the element from the environment. Instead, they use their own body (and breathing, as Iroh explained) to change the energy and convert it to fire. A trained and incredible firebender can lead this manipulation to lightning, splitting the positive and negative sides of the energy to create the lightning as Iroh also said to Zuko. This is incredible because if a firebender can create an electric discharge (as a lightning), they can create an electric field... And then they can create a magnetic field as well, because electricty and magnetism are actually the same force. Once they master the electromagnetic fields, they can manipulate the electromagnetic waves, and then manipulate the light itself and other kinds of radiation, as the Sun (their astronomical object which gives them power) actually does. I'd love to see the Avatar writers exploring these scientific conclusions, and see things like magneticbending and lightbending (which could turn someone invisible or lead someone to 'poison' other with gamma radiation, for example).
One more thing you missed, if a water bender healer and a master tier fire bender work together, they can heal very well. how you may ask? Well it’s because a fire bending master has the ability to minorly heal and detect the areas that need to be healed. This was shown in Korras time
🐐 GOATs of each element: Fire: Uncle Iroh (who, unlike Azula and Ozai, the other candidates, learned the true meaning of it and actually used it to help drive the plot and teach a new generation of firebenders, through Zuko. Also, he knows how to generate and redirect lightning.) Earth: Toph Beifong (an obvious GOAT for the element who used seismic sense to an extreme limit and INVENTED METALBENDING as an indirect result) Water: Katara (disputed, as she did play a big part in the plot but also had moments where she showed doubts in her own personal abilities, including healing and bloodbending) Air: Aang (disputed. Other candidates include Laghima, Zaheer, and Jinora, but due to a lack of backstory for Laghima, a lack of screen time for Zaheer, and a lack of obvious character progression for Jinora, it’s hard to tell which one would be the GOAT. Aang would probably beat Jinora by a very narrow margin.)
Anybody noticed? The first dragon didn't have wings like Ran & Shaw. 1:50 Maybe the first dragon was a spirit, as he was living in the spirit wilds, so he didn't need wings to fly like other spirits.
It's awesome that you gathered all that info, but there's something that you're mistaken in. By the time Zuko and Aang went to Ran and Shaw it wasn't 10,000 yrs after Wan's time It was around 9,900 yrs since harmonic convergance happened at the time of LoK So...that's it
