Egypt is home to one of the world's earliest civilizations, with its earliest settlements in northern Africa dating to 17000 BC. Ancient Egypt was a powerful, influential, and expansionist empire that grew from the Nile River Valley to include much of the eastern Mediterranean. The civilization brought many inventions and advancements, including agriculture, art, architecture, astronomy, mathematics, medicine, religion, writing, and so much more.

Fascinating! Egypt never ceases to amaze with its rich tapestry of history. It's incredible to think that it was one of the cradles of civilization, shaping so much of what we know today. The mysteries and legacies left behind by the ancients are simply mind-blowing. What's your favorite fact about Egypt's early civilization?

Time wears away at stone and being as the noses are so much smaller than the rest of the statues, it only makes sense that sandstorms would wear them away sooner than the rest of the statue. Time, sand, wind, and water will destroy anything made by the hand of man. Even the mountains aren't eternal and those are natural formations.

I had a chance to ride a camel at the Great Pyramid, and gave it a pass. Animals are woefully mistreated in Egypt these days. And the "ancient egyptians" have long been replaced by an overwhelming population of Arabs since Muslims conquered Egypt in 641. Only about 10% of Egypt is currently populated by descendants of ancient egyptian people - in the form of the Coptic population.

You couldn't be more wrong. Muslim egyptians are simply the descendants of Coptic Egyptians who converted to islam, there is no evidence of a replacement of the Egyptian people which is evident in the fact that it took about 300 years for arabic to be the spoken language of nile valley ethnic egyptians after the spread of islam in the region, during that time there was a practice of Arabic-Coptic Bilingualism that lasted even longer in southern (upper) egypt, not to mention that while islam came to egypt in the 7th century, it was between the 10th and 12th century that islam became the dominant faith in egypt. The arab tribes who moved into egypt are still present and are a well known ehtnic minority in much of egypt whom egyptians have long called the "aarab" or "badw" which translates to "Arabs" and "Bedouins" respectively. Many studies have shown that muslim and christian egyptians all descend from the same pre-islamic Ancient Egyptian population however due to differing beliefs muslim egyptians may have slightly more arab or sub saharan admixture among them (THe coptic church forbade marriage to people from different churches). To this day Egypt is home to 3 main ethnicities: Ethnic Nile Valley Egyptians (from the delta to upper Egypt), Nubians (south of egypt and norht of Sudan0 and Arab Bedouins (who hail from the Arabian peninsula). You fail to understand that "Arab" can be used as both an ethnic and linguistic identity, all modern egyptians are considered Arab in the sense that they use Arabic as a first language (including Coptic Christians) however only a small portion of them are actuall ehtnically "Arab" and those are the badw/bedouins who have a different dialect, culture and clothing as well as family dynamics and tribal structure, The Egyptian people (like the rest of North Africans) are "arabized" people. This is also why there is so much influence from the Coptic language on the Egyptian dialect of Arabic as well as the continuation of many Ancient Egyptian practices (especially in rural areas) such as the holiday " Sham-al-Niseem", the Sebou' a ritual that takes place seven days after the birth of a baby (practiced by muslims and christians), and "tahtib" an ancient martial art that is still preformed at weddings in rural parts to this day. Another FYI: coptic comes from the arabization of the word Aegyptos which was what the greeks called egypt, so in reality Coptic simply means "Egyptian"

But I mean, technically you’re right, they used more than just two simple tools. They had at least dozens of designs. Archeologist have even made modern day ones with the same materials and recreated the carvings. 🙄 Literally just have to google “ancient Egyptian carving tools” to see what they had…

She claims that because enough original ancient Egyptian texts claim that. The pyramids were looted later during periods of disorder after the fall of the old kingdom. The rulers of the new kingdom excavated tombs in the valley of kings instead of building pyramids and those were also mostly looted after the collapse of the new kingdom. That's why Tutankhamen was so famous, not because he was a remarkable king but because his tomb wasn't looted before it's modern discovery.

I don't want to listen to this. Because your story is wrong too . Anytime you guys leave out what the most high says in the Bible you get the story wrong. The most high says that Egypt came from ham and his descendants ham was the father of African race. Where we get the Africans and the African country. And you guys always lie about it. So if Ham was black... then so was his son who founded Egypt. Period! And those were the original Egyptian Pharaohs that ruled.
