Looking for a quick guide to achieve 5GHz on your i9 9900K without a huge AVX offset? You've come to the right place!
In this video I take you through all the settings to achieve a 5GHz overclock in your 9900K. Cooling dependent of course, these settings should have you well on your way to a stable overclock at 5GHz on all 8 cores.
Unlike many other guides, this video will give you a basic understanding of what the various settings actually do, and what the safe voltage ranges are for each parameter.
The video also discusses Manual vs. Adaptive voltage modes and the Pros and Cons of each.

I've watched watched and followed directions to 3 different youtube videos telling you "how to over clock a i9 9900k" and they all lead to my computer being unstable creating constant shutoffs, freezing and problems with my PC booting up. Man the explanation you gave with the pipe analogy was excellent. I already knew the basics like P = VI but explaining current as water moving through a pipe was such an "a-ha" moment. A very informative and useful video. Like many, I'm torn between the concept of Static/Fixed and Adaptive/Dynamic Overclocks. Lower temps are always appealing, but if there if the effect on chip lifespan is almost negligible, I'll stick with Static/Fixed. Keen to jump in and find the perfect LLC mode for my setup!

I have a follow up. I use my PC for gamming but I'm also a freelance 3D artist using Maya 2020 and Substance. Lately I can't render anything which is CPU intensive because I started getting hight temperatures like 100 c + and now I just get a blue screen. I have a NZXT Kraken X62 and it can't seem to keep the temps down even with Fan & Pump speed lock at 100%. This only happens when I try to render. Do you have any ideas?

Ran OCCT for 45 mins no crash or errors, max temp was 86 but averaged in around 66.
