Full recap of Very Little Nightmares, Little Nightmares 2, Secrets of the Maw, and Little Nightmares 1. this video took forever, ya'll better like it or ill be sad :) #littlenightmares #littlenightmares2
the point of six eating the gnome was to show that her hunger was growing. That’s why everything she ate was bigger and more “alive” than the previous thing and every time her stomach growled it hurt worse and worse
I always saw it as it being a statement on gluttony and people always wanting more.. The Maw is separated seemingly by class and importance. Lower level abominations like The Janitor, The Gnomes, The Granny and the Chefs - all want to climb higher. Then you get to the top and it’s a bunch of gross gluttonous visitors who wanna eat their way through everything. It’s not enough they have a banquet - they want the girl in the yellow raincoat. Six gets progressively more hungry like the guests and her food gets more an more disgusting. She ends up eating the Lady to satiate her hunger. But she doesn’t stop there - she moves onto eating the guests and moving onto the outside world next. Everyone wants more and the hunger never stops.
@@antonioarana7518 Mono is the thin man, mono is stuck in a timeloop paradox being freed from the tower by his younger self only for the young version of him to be betrayed and trapped.
While The colour Yellow does represent Joy, happiness, creativity and curiosity along with other nice things. it also represents Betrayal and dishonesty.
The color yellow is also a representation for Caution as seen in Yield signs and many poisonous species of frogs and other wild life! So it probably took that approach here lol!
15:29 Ah yes, so let me just eat the kid that's alive instead of the one that's already dead. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt that she didn't know the Nomes were children but then why would you eat the creatures that you have been hugging the whole time?
she knows what those sausages are made of. she does not know what the nomes are made from. im fairly certain she didnt want to resort to cannibalism and figured eating the nome was a "lesser of two evils" maybe im wrong about her intentions, but either way i know theres no possible way she knew about the nomes.
@@brandonwashington604LMAO! SIX IS NO LONGER A KID! SHE SPENT MANY YEARS IN THE TOWER! REMEMBER! TIME IN THE TOWER DOSENT MAKES SENSE!!!! SOO 1 HR CAN BE 10 YEARS!!!
My favorite theory is why six has such an immense hungry in the “first” game. After the events of Little Nightmares II when she escaped the tower, she lost a part of herself, hence the glitchy shadow version of herself. She lost a part of her, thus she grew a strong hunger to try and fill that part of herself that was gone fill in the missing piece, that’s why she goes to the maw. She dreams of The Lady, to steal her powers so six can steal the life force of other beings. So she could try to regain that part of herself that was lost in the tower.
I personally think that Six betraying Mono could be for any number of reasons, perhaps multiple, but it all boils down to her being a very, *very* flawed person. Not that her character is badly made, but that she has some warped perceptions of the world. She's a kid in a really fucked up world, and she's just trying to survive. She's not necessarily a bad person, she's still growing up. But she's not some saint that has all these logical and reasonable excuses for her actions either. Mono put her through all these dangerous situations and ripped her from her fantasy, sure. But whether she likes it or not, he helped her escape from a life trapped in her own delusion, and kept her as safe as he reasonably could in multiple dangerous situations so that they could escape together. She probably knows that, deep down. But her psyche is just too messed up for a kid her age, and so, she gives into bad choices.
Recently came back into my little nightmares era lol. This video helped me understand SO MUCH about the lore. Thank you, this deserves more views and likes.
Yeah. I agree with you, there's so much lore to the Little Nightmares franchise, and this really helps sum it up. THIS definitely deserves more recognition.
@@jepjep6740 I know but I don't enjoy podcasts. They distract me from what I'm currently doing while listening to them and I don't enjoy how the only thing I can hear is the persons voice in my ears. Just a personal opinion.
@@Eda_876 Understandable but what I'm trying to say is there's a major big lore (imo) that was told on the podcasts if people want more lore from this game. Boring, yes but interesting to say the least.
Considering that Mono and Six have different perspectives. In Six's perspective it might be one of the 3 theories why she betrayed Mono. But for Mono his perspective was;he was betrayed by the person he risked his life to save, the only person that he considered a friend, and because of that his anger and power grew as he grows up.Ultimately he became the Thin Man.His power allowed him to go back in time to try and save his young self from Six.
10:08 Six is shown to hold grudges throughout the game. Paying close attention, Six attacks the Bully out of pure hatred. And as stated, Six's perspective was different from Mono's, and technically he betrayed her first. Before Thin Man took Six, Six reaches out to Mono, while Mono backs away and continues hiding under the bed (very smart and good hiding spot mono.) Six could've perceived this as a betrayal (I know I would.) And again, Six is shown to hold grudges. Six didn't drop Mono because she's an asshole, she drops Mono because he betrayed her first. (Though, it's kinda an ass move to drop him off of a cliff however the Thin Man could've just as easily killed Six like he did the other children.)
Mono was actually having a horrible headache from the thin man's transmission while he was under the bed. Not really his fault that he couldn't help Six during that moment.
yeah wait, what? how tf would mono save her from under the bed? thats a death sentence that close to him. you see how he instantly catches you if hes right next to you, how tf would little mono save her? she does drop him because of her own selfish preservation. because she had her little paradise in the tower and mono saved her by taking it from her. yall six simps are crazy
@@khaoticdevil314yes, but from HER perspective, she mightve seen it as a betrayal. shes a kid who very likely has massive trust issues. as an audience, we know better than she does. but for her, it makes sense to come to that conclusion.
This is easily one of my all time favorite games, the story it tells is SO GOOD and well told while still giving the player the chance to fill in the blanks however they see fit. And as you play i feel like you really get to become attached to the characters so all the twists hit even harder. I remember the first time i saw the ending of LN2. I still haven't recovered. Still one of the most impactful moments in gaming I've ever experienced. 10/10 experience, i think everyone should play these games at least once.
RIP runaway kid!! that's so messed up of six to eat him like that. Even if the sausage was human meat at least its cooked?? she'd rather eat a living breathing gnome, tf??
10:15 I think the reason for six's betrayal is because she sees the resemblence of mono and the thin man... There's more, six isn't just looking into monos face, she's getting power from him before she leaves him. This is because six does not have the powers that mono has and needs enough to go into the tv.
Kinda funny how she slowly gets corrupted more and more, the first death was something she couldn't stop, the second one was definitely on her, and the third one was because she just had no morality left.
Both Mono and Six have a vision of the “main” villain. Mono sees the Thin man which is just himself or more so someone who was exactly like him. So, I have a theory that Six becomes the Lady after she collects more power and goes back to the Maw and stays there and everything eventually repeats. But idk the whole story is messed up but yet so good.
to be honest, there is no any explanation, just a storytelling of the game timeline, wich is kinda obvious. but yeah, it still a good video for everyone who's confused about timeline, but I expected to see more theories, etc.
I think the reason Six dropped Mono was to take his power, because the exit was a TV and she can't get threw that. Why I think that is because at the end if little nightmares 1 she got the Lady weak and took her powers so I feel like it makes sense lol.
Also another reason why Six would of dropped Mono is that because she was so hungry she knew that if she picked him up she would literally eat him alive 😃👍
We also know that if the loop happened with mono that means it probably happened with Six Because if there were multiple 6s coming to the maw does that mean that she would be the lady Cause I'm just saying sounds like she would be the lady if there were multiple 6s going to the maw and she gained her power by the end And then just had to accept And become tall Become tall like mono.
Also a lot of people say that the thin man found 6 by she was in a bad hiding spot but I personally think that it's because he remembered where she hid because you know he's mono so he would remember where she would be because he was also hiding there.
Six: " _Ew, don't give me that human flesh sausage, I would rather eat the little gremlins that help me rather than the things trying to kill me every step of the way._ "
Six reminds me of the "unstable wolf", which is a story in bhuddism about a wolf that is trapped on this rock because it has flooded and there is now way to get any food. He is worried about keeping a sabbath feast to stay holy and sakka (the king of gods) sees this and wants to test the wolf. Sakka turns into a goat and stands next to the wolf wondering if the wold will recognizethat its their god or try to kill them, the wolf immediately tries to kill sakka. Sakka turns back into his god form and I think scolds the wolf saying in their own way; you say how your holy and want to keep a sabbath feast, but here you are trying to kill your own god. Here six is eating seven without realizing that its seven, because he had took form of the gnome thingy. Because she was hungry.
Love the vid! Btw, the part you were talking about six getting to the maw, you mentioned the comics... The comics were debunked by the devs and confirmed to not be canon. Hope this helps! 😊
I am so excited for the new version of this that is coming out. Like I know it’s not going to be conncected to these but it’s going to actually have a coherent story
And for those who don’t know, the surveillance/camera rooms you find in LN1 are for the wax bellman (Character that didn’t make it to the final version of LN1) His job was to keep surveillance all over the maw before being cut from the game
Some theories suggest that Six gets the memory of what she eats, so by eating the nome instead of the sausage. She could gain vital info about where she was and what she should do.
I don't know if this is a stupid thought but I feel like this game was somewhat inspired by caroline. If I'm right... that's pretty cool. If not, well still cool. Also I know this'll sound ridiculous, but Mono is likely for monotone, the thing that is black and white meaning he's connected to the TV and the other characters that was outside of him was actually just his other selves, the ones that failed... meaning that the thin man has likely have convinced six to do that to save himself, even if temporary to maintain the chaotic cycle where the world can't get out of. Six is likely the one, who is the entity to all worlds, the shadow of the darkness... meaning that the glitch is the follower of anti-chirst making six look like she is still alive.... well that's just a hypothesis that may or may not make sence... and I'm pretty sure not much people are gonna read this. and from what the creator said, it seems that mono is trapped in the fantasy. But its cool that they made it up to debate. And if you think about it, all the two main characters of the stories are just living their fantasy time by time... but that's just my crazy thought... another thought is that this whole game is a freakish cycle of the two person's causing destruction... once attempting to escape from such things... the world gets chaotic...
I wonder where little nightmares 3 will go also like you said little nightmares and the first dlc do take place because in the dlc you can see six going through the maw aswell as when six is caged and escapes you actually see the runaway kid getting dragged he’s he got dragged
Yeah idk if it’s true but the biggest theory of the original game was six becoming the lady in the end so no she didn’t escape with cool powers, the 2 main game characters become the final boss in the end
Little nightmares is absolutely one of the best built universes in gaming. The gameplay is solid (not revolutionary, or spectacular, but certainly well-built and satisfying), but the environment...the scenery, characters, story, and emotional investment are top-tier. I have nothing but praise for it.
Okay Ik im a bit late but I assumed this would have north of 1M likes and views but WTF?? It’s so professionally done and it’s still funny and informational like hello..
This is a very weird theory I thought of but since six has seen mono get sucked into the tv and that she knew the thin man was back there, so she tried to keep him away and since he got through she betrayed him knowing he would grow up into the thing man, I know this is very unlikely but still I can’t help but feel there is something close to that 😭
Theory: The janitor does not know that he is wrapping up deceased children, and has no idea that the children he is putting in cages are going to be killed and sent to the chefs to be turned into food for the guests. For all we know he is a good guy simply being lied to about the things he is actually doing. My personal assumption is that the janitor places the children in cages to keep them safe, not knowing the fate that will fall upon them shortly after
Well secrets of the maw isn’t before per say it’s like even though the runaways story is over when sixes is still going it’s still all happening at the same time proof because when runaway uses a eye camera he sees six in the shoe pit.
I think she betrayed mono was cuz when she got taken by the slim man and turned evil the music box mind controlled her to get attached to it so when mono destroyed it her mind was fixed but there was still a voice telling her for revenge
Six was hungry after her remains left bc that was her soul and when it left she tried to fill the hole that was left when her soul left that’s a theory that sound more cannon then the other ones in my opinion
The game represents two deadly sins. Six: Gluttony Mono: Sloth So most probably this game isn't done yet and still have to represent the other deadly sins. Six betrayed mono for him to continue the domain he was supposed the rule. Six got trapped for trying monopolize the domain but she failed
the developers did not confirm the time loop in the little nightmers. Of course, there were no objections either, but judging by the statements of one of the developers, I'm inclined to say no, because the developers don't consider the mono ending to be bad and think that his fate is rather metaphory and pfysicly to grow up.
The reason six betrayed Mono is that six takes the power of the person/monster she kills there was a TV as you see if she helps Mono she is going to die so she killed him and took his power and escaped. The reason I say this is from the 1. Games end after she kills the Lady and take her power.
Bro mono would’ve became the thin man of the clock tower got a hold of him but six was just stupid for letting him go that would’ve saved the city i guess in a way that and just flat out evil
Just been wondering, people say that grown mono was trying to save young mono from six the whole time, but then he must already know that mono was hiding under the bed since he experienced it before?🤔and if you as a player don’t hide under the bed the tall man takes you, so he mustn’t have left mono there on purpose, can there be a possibility that mono isn’t the tall man, he just grows up to take his place?
