Not a parallel universe, it's just around 1000 edit:10,000 edit:10 years in the future. Orokin are humans. Origin system's name refers to this solar system being where humans originated. The corpus are middle class Orokin descendants, the grineer are ex-orokin slaves, the infested and sentients are orokin experiments.

you forgot to tell that the void is poisonous to the Sentients, and cant reproduce if they come into contact with it. Thats why natah loves the tenno, because the tenno are the closest thing to children shell ever have. Hunhow sends the stalker to the resevoir (on the moon, teleported to the void) because hunhow cant enter.

SO MUCH WRONG !!! Origin system is our reall world system (there are Earth, Mars, Jupiter like c´mon). Ballas is not husband of margulis just her lover (not confirmed to be husband). Ballas did not create transference Margulis did Ballas just used it to make the tenno to be able to control warframes. Captain Vor wasnt going to 100% kill the tenno he was going to learn about them and then maybe kill them.(Vor is a captain because queens demoted him because they wanted to kill tennos)

You took a lot of creative liberties man...This isn't 100% true to source.

I appreciate the fixing of previous errors, but more many more remain. Another revision is in order. I won't lie, I cringed a little listening. Also, there is some more fleshing out of certain aspects that could be done. These videos, however, are not easy.

Along with all the major errors pointed out in other comments, it's also important to note that the Tenno didn't just decide to wipe out the Orokin. Natah infiltrated the Orokin Empire, began to help train the Tenno, and slowly took control of them. As far as we can tell, she used some sort of tone, almost like it were conditioned into the Tenno, to give the command for them to slaughter the Orokin. Also, they didn't just slaughter the "seven Orokin emperors", they literally committed genocide. Every single Orokin man, woman, child, highborn and lowborn. Humans and human-ish species were mostly spared, but the tenno were super thorough, with literally the only surviving Orokin by the current timeframe of Warframe seemingly being Alad V. Also, you completely left out Ballas reappearing and "stealing" the Lotus, seemingly resetting her back to her Natah personality.

Too many mistakes. Here are the most important ones. The orokin are HUMANS in our OWN SOLAR SYSTEM. And that Ballas was the one who killed Margulis. He’s not the “eggutor” he’s the “executioner”

The part where "you're sent as your puny human self to the mountains" is the transference, a dream where you resist the queen taking over, so it never really happened. Teshin is a Dax, and he wasn't tricked, he was genetically engineered by the Orokin tech to obey the one holding the scepter. Natah did not betray Hunhow, she was reprogrammed by the Orokin as a punishment, serving to protect those who endanger her kind and whom she was sent to kill. Rell wasn't blocked from his emotions, he had autism, he never had a grasp on those emotions in the first place and he was never sacrificed, he trapped himself in his frame to hold the man in the wall back Next time do your research properly guys

Couple things you got completely wrong: Stalker is a warframe as well. Second Dream implied he went mad. personally I think he's simlar to Umbra, a warframe capable of indipendent action. Margulis didn't abduct the Tenno, she was the only one who wanted to help them. While other Orokins considered the Tenno demons, she worked to help them control their powers. Also, it was Margulis that suppressed the memories of what happened on the Zariman, not the Lotus. Rell was not kidnapped by the Red Veil, the RV took him in when Margulis refused him. Rell spent his life trying to contain the "Man in the wall", and later abandoned his body to fuse with his warframe in order to keep him (it?) contained forever. The player frees Rell consciousness during Chains of Harrow and takes on the duty of keeping the MitW contained. It was never confirmed that the Tenno are ageless. Some clues troughout the game seem to suggest so, but others contradict it. For example, it's implied that it took years to Margulis to help the Tenno control their powers, and then that the Old War went on for many years, yet the Tenno are still look like children that could be as young as 15. On the other hand, we can take the example of Rell, who had to fuse with his warframe in order to keep on fighting while the other Tenno went into cryosleep. If he was ageless, why would he need to abandon his body? Corpus are not just merchants and smuggler, they are what remain of the Orokin after their empire shattered. That's why the Corpus refer to the Tenno as "betrayers" sometimes, and why their technological level is much higher than the greener. (not 100% sure on this one). The infestation wasn't created in order to fight the Sentients, it was created much earlier. And it didn't just stick around for millenia after the Old War, it was sealed away. There is a quest in warframe where you try to contain it after the greener set it free. (spoiler alert: you fail)

I have no idea how many times I yelled "WRONG" at this video. Clearly has never actually played Warframe and only made this video because of the recent surge in hype for the game.

THANK YOU. I have been playing this game for 4 years now and I just couldn't make sense of the cryptic way Warframe tells its lore. The lore is so fascinating and you did it justice.

I am still having trouble with the whole Orokin background story but I get understand enough to know who to shoot

you start off completely wrong, its just in the future,the orokin are humans and the origin system is our solar system, the oroking empire was interplanetary, no other star systems were colonized. Infact their attempt to make a solarrail (warframes hyperdrive version) path to the tau system, the nearest solar system to sol (the origin system) is what caused the creation of the sentients and the orokin empires inevitable downfall due to their hubris. when the rail was finally finished the first ship, zariman 10-0, left to be the first settlers. Against the rules some people brought their children along on this ship. then somewhere along saturn, from which the final jump to leave sol would go, there was somekind of problem and the ship got lost in the void. (note that the void is this other realm, its unclear what it is but when i refer to the void i do not mean the empty vacuum of space, i think its best to imagine it as a form of interdimansional thing which is used for all sorts of thins, including faster than light travel.) the passenger aboard the zariman 10-0 got overexposed to the void, this caused the adults to go insane and become almost feral. meanwhile the children remained mentally allright but their bodies got sort of linked with the void and that allowed them to channel it in a way normal humans couldnt. these children are the tenno, at the end of the war where the tenno were employed to fight against the sentient they rebelled against their orokin overlords and murdered their highleadership all in one fell swoop.

I actually love the lore so much I took the spoiler warning seriously and went from the war within to angels of zariman in a WEEK For reference the Voidrig necramech needed to start the new war quest takes an average of 2 weeks to farm (including build times)

So many things wrong with this. Also, stop putting "the" in front of names. It's not "the Margulis" or "the Hunhow". They're not titles, they're names. You've obviously never played the game or, even if you have, you never paid much attention.

I get that the whole point of those videos is just to get views, but ffs most of what you said was wrong, and what wasn't wrong was misrepresented. I'm not offended because this is wrong. I'm offended because this borders spitting on the hard working game devs in the sake of getting more views and money. Anyways, people, check out StallorD's video "The entire warframe timeline", he did this exact thing much better a while ago.

Thanks for this explanation. In all the itme I have been playing Warframe, most of this stuff just went straight over my head. This has been a good insight to what's really going on (or has been going on in the past).

Solid video, but there were a few things you forgot to expand on, and some things you straight up lied about. One: The Zariman was not a colonist ship, but rather, a military ship that was sent to the void. The orokin broke protocol and put children on the ship, and then the incident went down where the adults on the ship went mad, and the children wound up killing them. Two: I feel that you didn’t give Ballas enough credit; he created all the Warframes, weaponized transference, and tried to convince Margulis to stop research with the Tenno so that she would not be killed. Finally; you claimed that Hunhow was killed and now lies at the bottom of the ocean on Uranus. This is entirely incorrect. The void is poisonous to the Sentients, so a trip from Tau to the origin system will wind up rendering a sentient infertile. So, Hunhow sent through a small fragment of himself, which was only partially felled, before he handed over the sword made of the flesh of fallen Sentient warriors to Stalker. Additionally, this wasn’t to severe, but I think you forgot to use the infestation’s real name, the Technocyte virus.

First 30 seconds "Orakin were a race"...... Now hold up, nothing is alien in the warframe universe. Everything, and everybody is an evolution of mankind and its discoveries... do better, malako.

I originally played this game just because my friends asked me to, now, I'm learning the deep lore in this game because I love it

I love to see Warframe on lots of videos like this that can teach a new person to the game what it is about so that he or she can start playing, thank you for the support.

U made a mistake the tenno kids r NOT ageless they where placed inside stasis-pods, STASIS-PODS, in order to suppress ther abilitys while there concisnes controled a frame thru transference allowing ther minds to mature in order to better control the powers they have.

When I think about the Zarimman, I can't shake up the fact that the Tenno may be not only Orokins, but Grineer/Corpus/pre-Solaris/pre-Ostron . I mean, just by looking at every race in the game, they're all off shoots of humans. So, by consequence, they can't be a race by themselves, more of a special type of each race. That's how I see it.

Its fine at least you guys point out those errors, he did a great job for the timeline anyway. Just appreciate this guy for his effort to reminish the lore of our game

Wait, so all this time we weren`t fighting to protect self or Fortuna/Earth members, but just "maintaining the balance of power"? I mean, i just killed 300 Orb on Venus, while completly forget of Greneer... seems balanced to me

There are so many errors in this. Like a lot of this is completely just wrong. It's like almost 2am but I'm actually minorly offended with what you put because you obviously didnt play the quests. Teshin you got wrong, rell/red veil was COMPLETELY WRONG.

Used to play destiny, have 1000s of hours on the first game on ps3 and Xbox one. Played the 2nd game, spend over 100 hours. Didn't grab me like the first game. A few of my friends kept telling me to try out War Fram, tried it out a month ago. Can't stop playing this game. This game is amazing! And free to play and pretty much everything is free in the game as long as you grind. That do t bother me.

Just watch StallordD's "What We Know Warframe Lore - The Entire Warframe Timeline (2017)" which is kinda outdated but still the most accurate lore video I've seen. Instead of this one which is a lot less accurate to the point that it triggers me.

No mention of Dark Sector? I know it has no bearing on the story of Warframe but Hayden Tenno should at least be acknowledged as he is still acknowledged to have been the first Tenno (albeit not the first of the Orokin Empire but he's still vaguely known to have existed) and he utilized one of the first made Warframes.

The Sentients rebelled for 2 reasons: First, there was a failsafe within them that killled them after void exposure, and becuase of the Void jump to Tau, they were doomed to die, so they got angry. Also, they thought the Orokin would destroy Tayu, which they considered their home system, just like they destroyed our solar system(Origin System)

I played more than 1000 hours and this video is still useful.

Great job on condensing the lore for us, but now I HAVE to be absolutely honest. The errors in the video occurred because the narrator hasn’t played warframe yet. There are minute details in the game that can be really crucial.

You did a good job of summarizing it and explaining the story of warframe compared to other channel's and their videos. I commend you cause the story does seem kind of complex and would normally be hard to follow. Well done.

The Orokin are human - us in the far far future.

A lot of details are incorrectly stated or incorrect altogether minor and major details alike. I refer you to stallordD's video on warframe timeline which is accurate and only slightly dated lacking info from the sacrifice which can be found on his other video about it

Among other errors, there were not 7 orokin emperors. There were 7 executors working under the emperor. And below them were the Archimedeans, who were pretty chill ppl. The Archimedeans were pretty much scientists who were forced to provide breakthroughs. Which is why all their playing god ended up biting the orokin in the ass. The executors say their work and were like “it’s good enough. No need for more tests. Ship it”

The Grineer were slaves of the Orokin and the Coprus there Scientists and the Coprus createt the Sentients in contract from the Orokin not the Orokin itself. Also ALL Warframes are in some sort Infested, only the first generation couldnt be controlled (without the Tenno later on) after Umbral Frame came the controllable Prime frames and then the normal ones.

This video is utterly terrible. You got basically every point wrong from the get-go. Just....wow...... Also, there's only one star system called the "Solar System." It's a proper noun....there are no other "solar systems." They're all just "star systems." Also, the "Origin System" is a synonym for the "Solar System." And....omg....I'm still listening to your video and by 3:50 you've already said so much wrong that I can't keep up. Dude.....take this embarrassment of a video down.

This is a pretty good piece together of the timeline but there are some things that you are getting wrong on how upon the discovery of the void did the humans became the orokin empire and how the obscure characters come into play

I fucking love Warframe lore and how it’s developing. With DE Steve showing a lot of interest in cinematic quests I hope lore and gameplay integration will be taking main stage this year. It’s easy to forget about the story because of the grind.

the part where the tenno fight the golden maw, that was a dream sequence. All that happened in the few seconds when the queen was trying to burrow into your mind

Rell wasn't blocked off from his emotions by the man in tbr wall. His sensitivity for the man in the wall, is because of his lack of understanding for emotions, and the afct that he never had the dream all Tenno had. The reason for his lack of understanding for his own emotions is because he had autism. DE literally said on Twitter as someone told me, that Rell is a Tenno with autism. Which is the reasoning for his oversensitivity, especially fir the man in the wall

I imagine a prequel would be like this: -humanity got a large technological leap -yada yada colonizes the solar system -we become fascinated with old glory -tech marches on but culture goes backwards -a kingdom rises -descendants of that kingdom becomes the orokin

Good effort but you got it wrong it's based why in the future, there are parallel worlds but that's not come into play yet it mentioned in Cetus, also you missed out a lot of the history about the warframe themselves they were originally golems out of control but the Tenno could could control them well that's just me simplifying it. But it a good video all the same

for those who still didn't understand and finally, some rhetorical questions, for me, this time: 1. cephalons are humans "cast in glass", people whose minds have been transferred into the data stream as punishment. 2. and yes, sentients are entities with a structure similar to humans, but with tissues of biological material and metal alloys. kind of like (Battlestar Galactica) Cylons, kind of. exposure to Void leads to the inability of the mix organic-inorganic tissues to multiply, so to sterility. my problems with the Warframe Lore: 1. I didn't understand is how Natah separated from the others, if they all have a common/share mind. 2. one more thing: Warframes were people whose bodies mutated through direct exposure to Void. most of those subjected to the trial did not know what was happening with one exception: Gara, who volunteered for the trial, despite knowing the truth. so, the million credits question: do these Warframes still have their own mind/soul at least partially? something makes me think so and I thinking about the moment when The Warframe breaks the sword "War", at the end of the chapter The Second Dream.

I don't really care if someone spoils stuff for me because I'll usually forget about it.

Sentient and their ability to subvert technology to adapt themselves in hostile environnment reminds me of Replicators in Stargate. Greeners and genetic issues reminds me of Asgards Infested reminds me of Wraith in Stargate Atlantis. Not a coincidence. ^^

Played the Sacrifice for the first time this weekend. Finally all caught up for the New War.

I have a theory on Umbra and the Prime... Umbra is Prototype Prime. Both Prime and Umbra share the golden motif and both came from a similar era. Upon finding out Ballas's betrayal, the Dax soldier that is Umbra went to kill him, at the same time research on how to contain the powers of the Void children was being done. Transference was not perfect, if Silver Grove and Umbra was any indication of Transference going wrong during the Orokin era, so when Umbra was forced the Infested and Transference, he became the first warframe. Of course he was not perfect, merely a prototype. So Margulis and her fellow researchers went to work under Ballas. Once the transference was perfect, and they found a way to fuse infested with technology, thus the first Prime was born, and soon more were made. Rhino Prime was most likely one of the sparks of rebellion during the Orokin era, and most likely among those who ended the Orokin and Dax. As to where Umbra was, maybe Lua, caring for the children as they were essential to Ballas. So what about frames now? Merely replicas of the Primes. Quest based frames like Inaros and Limbo are retelling of Prime frames and their user before meeting their eventual death. The blueprints we gain from them are deteriorated data of the frames in the stories.

When you are making a video about lore, where you say in the beginning "because lets face it. You aren't really listening to those floating heads as you are slaughtering enemies and fiddeling around with mods" and then you don't even listen to those floating heads aswell. I don't know why I still have hope of you guys making good Warframe videos.

The Grenieer Queens are Orokin who used continuity to move in to those Grenieer bodies.

My dude, completely slipped over when ballas' comes back to take Lotus' hand and take her for what felt like no real reason, she even drops the helmet and we almost see her face, and you can CHOOSE to kill the older Queen

It's splitting hairs (and likely already said), that Warframe isn't necessarily taking pace in an alternate universe. The "Origin System" is our own. Orokin is a race of what one might describe as post-human (a subset of humanity able to transcend, to some extent, their physical limitations). To address the question of time in many comments, the time between real-life "now" and the rise of the Orokin is indeterminate, but it's probably sooner than many people suggest. Imagine how god-like our society must appear to the civilizations of 1000 AC. It's difficult to judge the acceleration of our technology in this fictional universe, but it's potentially vast. I can imagine the Orokins' rise to be somewhere between 1 and 2 thousand years from today.

How many years have passed between the Old War and now? Because we're still kids, yet we founded schools and worked as bodyguards for the Orokin. Baro wasn't even born and Inaros was protecting mars, the queens have gone trough a lot of continuities and syndicates has been formed while we've been in the moon. It sound like while in the pods we can't age. Which I'm fine with, but how Ballas, a human, have survived all this time?

Damm i didnt realise the tenno were the bad guys the whole time. The sentients and grineer just dont want the orokin to destroy any more systems.
