Oh christ I remember joining my friends so we'd have an easier time taking it down together, since I was new to the game and they knew I'd need help on that boss. Grouping up did jack-shit, we still all died.

This reminds me of my uncountable failures to defeat the Royal Jelly. Still can't beat it to these days, even with Shadow items. Maybe I should get better items and try to face it again someday... *EDIT:* NVM I did it! :D

TBH when I saw the notif for this I nearly cried. I used to play Spiral Knights a ton a few years back, and hearing this brings back so many good memories of playing it, as well as the friends I made on it too, stopped playing after I couldn't keep up with the difficulty of one of the bosses (don't remember which one) and never really went back. Listening to this was a real trip down memory lane though, and I might end up going back to the game after all this time, see how things are going, and maybe try my hand at beating that boss again!

I will always miss the HP bar being at the bottom. You could keep it in your peripheral vision while looking at your knight, it was great!

It's got amazing gameplay, music, and a ton of other things. All ruined by P2W shenanigans. They made it slightly less harsh, but it's still horribly P2W since you'll be locked from even upgrading your gear pass 3 star unless you throw money in. Considering you need a wide and varied array of armor and weapons to be effective, you're looking at a truly hefty sum

I remember playing the crap out of this game and making so many friends :( I'd still play but there's no more content. The storyline was engaging even if it wasn't the best. I got all these friends added on steam that don't even connect anymore.
