The Connection Journey: Scoliosis  Surgery  Recovery 

My acupuncturist said that I had scoliosis. The acupuncture didn't help my back but I felt a lot of pain radiating along my back. Now that I did the scoliosis surgery, most of my pain is completely gone and posture is a lot better than it was before.

I'm surprised after watching these scoliosis surgery recovery videos of Americans how fast these people recovered or maybe how different approach this country has compared to mine. I underwent spinal fusion surgery in Europe, side approach though. I wasn't allowed to sit on a normal chair for several months so I spent them mostly lying on the bed. I didn't attend school for half a year because of the recovery. Special post-surgery exercises and swimming was recommended to me but for a year I couldn't do any running, lifting, jumping, horse riding... Now 10 years later it feels like I didn't undergo any surgery and I do everything I had been doing before the surgery. Good luck to everyone who's getting the surgery.

I'm going through this kind of surgery within 6 months but one question I do have how do you go about moving around, do you feel stiff like you can't twist Or Bend properly because of the rods in your spine?

I’m getting the surgery in two weeks

I hope she is aware of her forward head posture
