@asahisangel

Just a warning to anyone that’s going to try this! I ordered through the link and it was around $20. Great right? But there’s a disclaimer I didn’t see that if you cancel the subscription before the next order you then owe the rest of the money and the discount no longer counts. So $100 for skincare that you didn’t end up liking. I just wish this was a bit more clear cause this isn’t really affordable. It’s also been about a week and the items haven’t even shipped and the website is saying that my next shipment will ship out at the end of the month when it’s supposed to be 90 days between them. I’m just really confused and wish she made things more clear when talking about them
@isabellebaker109
@isabellebaker109 5 месяцев назад
@@asahisangel Thanks for the tip. If you complete the personalized quiz, it automatically selects one of their subscription products and you have to deselect it. I don't know if you would have had the problem or not if you had deselected the subscription/"automatic refill", assuming you didn't notice it. It costs about $21 with the auto-selected subscription item, plus the routine recommended to me. Quiz routine only (no subscription item), it costs $14.70. It seems they were counting on their potential customers to not read the page carefully, or perhaps it was an honest mistake that they made their page misleading. This is their cancellation policy that I found on their page: "By choosing an item with automatic refills, you acknowledge we will automatically bill and ship at the selected frequency. We request that you wait a minimum of twenty-one (21) days from the date of your order to cancel your subscription. This gives you sufficient time to truly experience our product. If you decide to cancel before the 21 days are up, we reserve the right to retroactively charge full price for the trial set. Please note, once an order has been processed, it can no longer be cancelled."

Complaining about a cartoon dog spending time with his children because it's an 'unrealistic expectation' is wild. If a cartoon dog is being a better father than you, it's time to examine your priorities.

any person who calls themself a leftist and has that take is either lying to stir up drama, or they are one of those weird leftists that is taking on these weird conservative ideals and pushing them as leftist takes (like the ones that get mad about any sex scene in a show/movie). As a leftist showing things like this is good. It normalizes it and for kids who don't have that they know what a real relationship should be like and not the shit situation they are in. My gf and I had shitty parents. Watching Bluey is cathartic and we both usually end up crying every episode for the slightest things.

From another perspective the Frankenstein episode is arguing against governmental overreach, while the show as a whole seems to reinforce the conservative belief that kids should always be submissive to their parents. It seems contradictory until you consider the types of power hierarchies that conservatives espouse
@SarastistheSerpent
@SarastistheSerpent 6 месяцев назад
Yeah, conservatives don’t actually care about government overreach. They’re perfectly okay with the government stripping civil and human rights away from LGBTI people. It’s always a “rights for me but not for thee” attitude with them. And they have zero ability to self reflect or recognize the blatant double standard.

Then the Chilla parents would be really bad on their own causing Bandit and Chilli to "Grooming" their kids and just spewing out other conservative MAGA trash. They even suggested that if the theory that Chilli is not done having kids is true then the Chillla parents would kidnap the baby to "Save" it (The baby would be saved and returned to the Heelers). Then as my addition, we cut to years later and Bluey/Bingo meets Chip again. Listening to this, it made me realize something that Bluey does that many children's shows don't. Of course all children's shows are about the child character learning a lesson every episode, but in Bluey the children characters feel more like children vs characters. Child characters often exist for the purpose of recieving the lesson with little existance outside of it. The lessons thus feel a little artificial, espeically for an adult watching. But Bluey and Dingo feel like actual children who have interests far outside of the lesson of the episode and they stumble across those lessons in the same way that the children watching would. Many of the lessons aren't child specific but stuff that people of any age benifit from, which is why it hits so well with adults. There are also lessons that hit differently based on who is watching, like the episode where Bluey is feeling self conscious about her drawing, the lesson for children is that it's okay to not be perfect right away because you get better as you keep up with it and the lesson for parents is that small comments can have an affect on a child's confidence and children may need realistic encouragement when they find themselves frustrated.

It seems very strange to me for a conservative show to have the father homeschooling the children. Like doesn't homeschooling typically fall into the mother's domain in those 'traditional' family setups?

I feel like it says a lot about conservative parents methods of parenting that they believe Bluey is “woke” and “political” because it… showcases a family that is actually functional, communicates, respects and loves one another, and the parents actually care about their kids and spend time with them. Ah yes, nothing more politically woke then treating your kids like they’re actually humans and genuinely enjoying them being in your life.

2 Dads + a son wearing a tutu isn't the problem with Cocomelon. It is the fact that it's not challenging, too colourful to wear it's headache inducing and it has some children being addicted to it. These are the issues with Cocomelon, not 2 Dads being in one video

I’m a huge classic literature fan and I’m more angry than I should be that their Frankenstein story is in no way accurate. There is no Igor in the original story and the creature wasn’t mean because Frankenstein was controlling. It’s quite the opposite. Frankenstein created him and then abandoned him.

I watched Bluey a couple months ago because of you hyping it up and it is sooo cute and sweet and loving. Probably the best kids show on air right now. Definitely does not deserve this blatant rip off. My only complaint with Bluey is that more diversity isn't included like gay parents or disabled kids. We've gotten a deaf side character that shows up in one episode and an ADHD coded reoccuring student character but nothing tangible and I would love to see it. Imagine if Bluey had a student in her class that changed their pronouns, that would be radical and frankly what trans kids deserve to see!

The thing about the Frankenstein episode, not only is it hypocritical bc conservatives absolutely control their kids when it comes to sexuality and gender, but its also justa horrible lesson in "let your kids do whatever they want" which is a new age way of conservatives to raise their kids. Seen first hand by me and how my super Christian older cousin is raising her kids by NEVER telling them "no" letting them run amok and do whatever, because "negative words are bad for kids", and also wanting to homeschool them, meaning no one else will ever tell them "no" either. Not only is it hypocritical but its a bad lesson as well given the actual meaning behind it. Yes don't control your child to the point of them having no autonomy, but for the love of god dont just let them do whatever they want either. Especially when them doing whatever involves them doing dangerous shit and nearly breaking other people's stuff. Maybe that isnt the lesson they were going for, idk i don't plan on watching it, but this was the first thing i thought of when hearing the premise. Controling your kid is bad, but a certain level of discipline is needed.

If someone finds Bluey unrealistic, that's the exact person who needs to watch Bluey! Its a show with healthy family relationships & a work life balance that is healthy. Every country should want their citizens with children to have a similar work-life balance to Bandit & Chilli's! Its very progressive for conservatives to have the mom bae the bread winner & the dad to be stay at home dad who homeschools the kids. Admittedly it IS very conservative/Qanon/fundamentalist to keep kids home to have complete control over what they learn (indoctrination in this case) or rather DON'T learn. While homeschooling can be a great option for kids without the resources/support they need in public/private & a school able to provide adequately for the child is either not local/requires residency "in district", affordable, or waitlisted. Most other reasons aren't intended to teach the child to think critically (no, believing the earth is flat is not critical thinking), form opinions of their own, learn life skills to pursue many different *careers* (not just how to be a housewife), & be exposed to a multitude of different cultures/people/experiences/beliefs/ideas so that they become an empathic citizen who views the beauty of diversity & how it benefits both human genetics & culture. Homeschool is usually intended to teach one way of thinking, religion, RACE, & culture being superior to all others. When diversity is taught, it is to show the "negatives" - factual or not & sterotypes. Just like *good* public schooling for the younger grades, Bluey is centered on kids & learning, hopefully in an interactive way. Even if the kids don't learn the lesson the teacher is intending, they are learning social skills, building friendships, learning how to get along with others, while learning different points of views. In the same way, from what I've heard of Chip Chilla, its similar to homeschool where you get one point of view & the only socializing they get is with the siblings, maybe another family or 2 that also home schools within the same religion/homeschool system, but the exact same people each time who have been learning the same point of view. Like homeschooling, in Chip Chilla the parent teaching is the main character. The decision to homeschool is not for the benefit of the children, its to ensure their children learn to think just like the parents. I'm guessing they show the children bickering because they think homeschooled children need to learn to fight those who think differently from them? Or maybe the creaters can't imagine what a healthy, loving family looks like? I love that Bluey flipped the POV so that the kids would see how to internally imagine what their parent would say, teaching the kids to form judgments with their inner voices in a healthy way. In the Chip Chilla one, the dad instead helped form a hateful inner voice response for the kids. Children's inner voices are shaped by how parents respond to their children. If you are critical of your children, they will grow up with critical inner voices & poor self esteem. That can either create someone with anxiety or someone who overcompensates by pretending to have a huge ego. Absolutely not surprised a conservative's children's show is hypocritical, just like conservatives. I don't think conservatives actually see anything wrong with hypocrisy because they don't see equality as a goal like leftists do. They see themselves as superior to those who don't think like them, so they have laws for everyone else, but not for them. Rules for thee, but not for me is exactly what they want & they have no idea why anyone would want equality. Chip Chilla is just pushing conservative "normalized" group think. 😒

The thing with the morals in Chip Chilla is it's reflecting on the American public education system. Our system is all about spitting out information that's given to us. It doesn't teach kids to think for themselves. The dad giving the kids the moral for the episode is very on par for what's normal over here. Which is why Bluey is so important, because it does show children learning for themselves.

I love how the lessons in this conservative Bluey, which Bluey isn't even political as it a good show for both adults & kids, that some if not all the lessons being taught literally go against what the conservatives are trying to push. Like showing that being a dictator is wrong, trying to control & force people to do & be things they're not is wrong, and that seeing things from others perspective is good because u can learn to empathize with others & at least understand where they coming from. And despite that they want to hate on people who are not cis, straight, white & Christian just for existing, want a dictatorship in the US that is also a Christian nation, & always try to demonize those they don't like. I honestly think they have no idea what they're actual views are because they're so blinded by conspiracies & hatred & because of that they made a garbage rip off of a show that they don't understand nor will ever surpass
