she's a breath of fresh air in the korean industry. she's not afraid or ashamed of showing her authentic and unique charms. i adored her as soon as i saw her artwork and other forms of expression.
I have nothing but respect for han so hee because she was able to overcome her difficult childhood and made a success in her life what her mother did was truly horrible
I'm glad she speaks her mind regardless of backlash. I'm glad she's proud to be a South Korean and celebrates those who fought for her freedom regardless of naysayers.
Koreans seem to thrive on toxicity and Han So Hee is like a breath of fresh air in a stagnant society. I’m glad that she’s remained true to herself as far as she can (without getting ostracised like others have been).
She's the definition of self made artist. She was not born with a silver spoon. I think it's about that so many of her fans and I personally can relate with her cuz she actually worked hard for whatever she have accomplished. More power to her. Absolutely love her❤
Because she CAN ACT😂 She is a raw talent and haters can't take her REALNESS periodt. She is a thousand times a better actress than all these idols turned actresses that are ONLY onscreen because of their backgrounds!
Well ...let's not put the idols that made it big becuz of their idol bg, if that was so hee (or any of us) she would've done the same thing and tried to benefit off of their past careers i mean who doesnt, you got your first job with hard work so why not climb the ladder you've earned. Let's not put others down to lift another up.
IF an idol turned actress can act, then yes, BUT if she cannot act thats what I mean. Why are certain idol turned actresses being cast in so many dramas when actresses who can actually act are not? Its because of their idol background. BUT as soon as an actress who CAN act starts eating up the competition she gets all the hate just because she doesnt have the red carpet background? Talent is talent‼️ And its so obvious🫤
I hate how South Korean netizens are willing to destroy a person that did absolutely nothing but live her life authentically without harming anyone. I hope she keeps thriving and stays succesful. SK doesn't know how much it needs women like her to move forward.
@@user-jj9gc2ii4vyup! Home of hypocrites! They bash celebrity or well known person as if they are perfect and never committed any mistake in their life..
Im glad she’s not scared to be herself, she’s a human just like all of us & she is hardworking. Koreans find many celebrities to be controversial & it’s their opinions/criticism that leads actors & singers to hide their true selves. So Hee has my respect
She could be an example of how a celebrity can have a life and have real-world problems. She might not be the best actress, but she doesn't deserve the hate.
she pretty much is one of the best korean actresses and she doesnt even have that much experience! i really think she outshined psj in gyeongseong creature and he works so much longer as an actor! every actor has their own style but sohee seems to be acting every role to its max you dont have the feeling its her(meaning she is acting herself)
no like what do u mean she might not be the best actress?! Have u ever seen anything of her acting? She is literally one of the best actresses in korea, I mean just watch My Name and u know what I mean
I beg to disagree lol. She’s one of the greatest actress . Mostly her performance in gyeongseong creature. She stands out and her performance is outstanding.
she is an AMAZING actor. she had me BAWLING in "My Name" , not just cuz the plot but because she was so incredible and accurate in acting her character. Korean celebs get too much hate its so annoying.
I couldn’t imagine bullying or making fun of someone for having a difficult life. Even judging someone for their parents issues is so wrong. We can’t help what our parents do. We are just human and aren’t perfect. I can’t believe people are so judgmental. We are only responsible for ourselves not the behavior of everyone else. People who have overcome hard times and are hardworking should be celebrated. Proud of Han So Hee!
I’m really sorry to say, but I haven’t seen a nation to criticise other people as much as they do. No wonder so many celebrities have depression. The society is just based on criticism, instead of being busy with themselves. I’m sometime not even sure if they familiar with the concept of private life and respect. Han So Hee is very talented like many other people. Stop criticising other people based on looks, and money and start looking the person for who she/he is and start looking at how much effort they put in their work. And just for some people’s information not a child’s fault if they have difficult upbringings, most of the time not even the parent’s fault but the society. Maybe that should be criticised.
It’s even worse than that. The fact that she doesn’t come from a wealthy family doesn’t help her in SK where many celebrities come from and have the connections and the protection of the media etc. And the industry is very competitive so I suppose it’s easier to target her than others 😏. I hope and I think she is strong enough to show them the smart and beautiful woman she is
It’s a collectivist society and about fitting in, so yes unfortunately people that are too different or outspoken are crushed. I love how open and honest she is, and expressive of herself. Like she has tattoos and smokes (which are taboo for women in Korean society) and not being afraid to show it is what I like about her. American media and celeb culture is not perfect, but it is far more reasonable than that of Korea. In America, If a celeb is good at what they do and they have a fanbase then that’s fine, and if you don’t like them that’s your problem. As long as you’re not like a murderer people mind their own business. Cultural difference but Americans are far more reasonable in this aspect.
Its generally called 'Tall Poppy Syndrome" and in a country like Sth Korea where many people are living in poverty or close to it and the only way to get ahead is to bring someone down of that ladder to enable others to climb up it. I hate it, but that's the reality.
Yes basically people are insecure there, that is why they are obsessed with materialistic features and gossiping about people. They lack confidence in their society.
@@Tina-Marie-iz8zymany people are living in poverty in korea ..? South korea is one of the richest country in the world.. You seem to mistake South Korea for North Korea😅
I first saw Han So Hee on SHINee's MV "tell me what to do" back on 2016 and her edgy aesthetic is truly breathtaking. Im so glad that those unintelligent who's complete imbecile with their senseless "criticisms" didn't faze her a bit .What a truly strong woman she is.
What's very applauding is that she plays those unconventional characters, unlike other Korean actresses who always play the chaste characters in a romantic drama. Her projects choices hail from so many different genres.
She is one of S. korea’s best actors as of today. She gives her all in her acting roles be it action, romance or drama. Also, lets face it, she has one of the most beautiful face in S. korea’s screen.
I have more respect for Han So Hee after learning that she went through a difficult upbringing and became so successful. Anyone who shame a person for things outside of their control like their parents or financial situation during their upbringing needs help.
im not a huge fan but she is a real GOAT, she managed to make it big despite coming from a poor family and starting acting in her 20's, in an industry that favor younger nepo babies
I love this woman beyond words because of her hunger and strive to be better. She’s loving from the outside, in, and that makes her an incredibly beautiful woman. I will always support her. Her acting is too good for anyone to talk down on her. She’s an international icon.
What I love about her is that she is her true authentic self, not some robotic fake cookie cutter image of what some netizens think she should be. After the tragic passing of the actor Lee Song Kyun you would think people would reflect on their criticism of others, these Kpop and Kdrama idols and give people grace. If they aren’t out here promoting harmful behavior that would effect others lives negatively, they aren’t harming others then let them be
My exposure to Han So Hee was in My Name. She is now one of my favourite actresses across the board. Hearing how hard she worked to achieve her success just makes her more admirable
I dont care about all that nonsense... Han so hee is an amazing actor ,her acting skills are phenomenal and she is very attractive and pretty,so i dont care about anyone else is opinion or her predebut photos. Im so happy that she embraces her tattoos and shows them out without a fear.... Anyways love sohee 💕
She is a queen for a reason👑 She being herself is not a crime , whenever I see her , felt in a spirit of delicacy, no showing off ,just being herself,no fakeness in her .She herself is a rare peace of artwork, her acting skill is so genuine! All my good wishes to her!
Her life is the type of thing people love in stories. “From the bottom to the top” as people say. I find it so ironic when a person working so hard to reach their goals gets hate from some people who probably like those “from the bottom to the top” stories too.
I love So Hee for being strong and having integrity, and not caring what silly negative things netizens say about her. More Korean celebrities should follow her example.
I like her. She's so bold and not afraid to get hates. I love how honest and strong she is. She doesn't care about the standards, she's just being herself and nothing is wrong with that.
Hateful nets are soooo 🤦♀️ they arent worth mentioning. As for So Hee she's an amazing actress. Can't keep a good woman down. I hope and wish more famous idols/idols will support her and come to her defense. It's different when you get support in private but sometimes it means so much more when it is done publicly. Is a matter of courage, loyalty, friendship and doing the right thing.
Why is she a 2 yr old kid ?? Why should anybody come to her defense?? Did she defend anyone?? Did she took stand for others? What's makes you think that other idols are obligated to defend her. She is a grown a$$ woman. She is responsible for her mess not others. So stop blaming other idols and involving other idols in her mess
@@purpleu212 because that's what true friends do??? A true friend will come to your defense specially when things that are being said are untrue. It shows character. Friends that worry more about what others might think about them, aren't true friends those are the ones you can't fully trust. Those are the "friends" that will drop you when things get rough. Who needs friends like that? At least I don't.
@@ro-zeea.8734 then you should not forget the same thing applies to her also. She should also come to their defense as a "friend" and specially when things being said are unture. It' shows her character also it shows hypocrsy. If she can't do any of this to her "friends" then she is in no place to expect anything from them.they are not the only ones that are obligated to do anything for her. It goes both ways....By the way not everyone who work with her are her "friends". They are "co workers" that's it. And they have no obligation to do anything for her. They know her only professionally which you seem to forgot.if you want others to defend her just because they acted with her then she should also start defending others who acted with her first. She is grown azz woman not a kid. She should defend herself rather then depending on others. Others have their own sht to deal with.. Everyone has their own life.. She should too 🤷♀️And all your talk about "friends" does not apply here cuz those ppl she worked with are not her "friends". This applies to her "friends" only. Those famous idols you were referring to are not her "friends"....You can go and ask her actual "friends" to defend her 👍 you asking and expecting other famous idols to defend her when she did nothing for others it shows hypocrsy. Other idols are not doing charity here they have their own sht to deal with just how your han sohee has. They are not responsible for her mess. 😊 you still didn't answer my question... Where did she defend anyone that you were expecting others to do it for her?
As a Korean, I am telling you that her life isn't controversial in Korean society at all. I don't understand why you made this? :( When her family background turned out in the public, most Korean expressed their empathy and tried to comfort her. we all know no one can't get choose thier parents. she is definitely 'different' to the most of Korean actress and that doesn't mean she always bring gossips or controversial. Plus, she is one of the loved actresses in Korea now for sure.
After knowing about this side of her, I definitely now love her as more than just an amazing actress. The people criticizing her (and women) for their clothes, choices, habits (even if those are not affecting those people's lives) are insane and stupid; I am so glad to know she defies those malicious trends in her way. But it's still sad that she still has to put on so much filter. For example, I was watching one interview of her and Song kang for Nevertheless, where she was describing the character of the female lead and saying she was in love but lost all her practical senses. She said she hopes that no girl becomes like that. Now I understand what she said from a POV that the male lead cheated on the female lead. But in her words, she was calling the woman stupid for having the intensely romantic and sexual relationship too, even if the ML never cheated. Which is backing out from the strong stance of taking normal things normally and handling it maturely. So, I was sad she had to say it like that in the interview. But now I feel happy thinking she doesn't at least think like that, and also am sad at the same time seeing our society is in such a way which makes us filter our genuine selves.
So hee, as metioned in the video, comes from a background where hardwork, persistent and resilience were the only option for her to make ends meet. This women literally became one of the biggest stars of korea without any connections or money. And one thing I know about people like her is that they cannot be torn down by one thing or the other they may stop to process what's going on but once they are through with it, they destroy everything that's blocking them so i think this girl is a bad ass and I'll forever support So Hee❤
She absolutely has my RESPECT on all of her jobs! I LOVE that she’s soooooo HARD WORKING!! Why would anyone else’s actions affect her? Because those people are cowards and against her. Unacceptable! She’s an amazingly talented and beautiful and hard working and honest person! She is Extremely Great!
Leave Jungkook alone, Really!!! these fans act like they own celebrities. Her mother's crimes are not hers and she is so right her past self does not reflect who she is. Why is the culture there as if people are perfect and not humans who can be messy, or make mistakes. They need to shut down their internet bullies
She got hate because of her own obsessed shipper fans .they harass every actor’s new co stars that she worked with .recently they harassed my demon actress just because everyone were praising their chemistry.this admin is a shipper herself .its their own doing .they even bothered the model in jk’s new mv.they are the reason she is getting hate .
All the respect for So Hee for making a name for herself on her own!! And really hope she can continue being her wonderfully bold and beautiful self ❤❤
Han So Hee is a phenomenal actress and she’s so genuine as a person that I feel many people including myself can relate to the things that she has gone through.
Watched her first in My Name, then in Gyeongseong Creature. Top, top actress. Strong, not afraid of extensive physical work on set (both series) and be covered in blood. Love how she becomes her character, I don't have the feeling i'm watching herself. Really looking forward seeing her work in the future.
Love Han So Hee and her ability to stay 'true' to herself. She has stood her ground against the controversy by which is one person's opinion built up by so many who just don't understand. Han So Hee stands proud with the male stereotypes and justifiably reminds us what a woman she is above all expectations, as well as reminding us all of the demons from Korea's History. Why should she HIDE? I hope to see her in more K-Dramas in the future. acting in Gyeongseong Creature is superb and it feels real. her relationship to my fav actor Park Seo Joon feels just right, she should not have to display more or less in this series.
Her personality is what make international fans fall in love with her. I hope she never change herself to fit k-netz image and continue to make good contents.
Stand Strong Ms. So Hee! Please do not succumb to public bullying... Remember the career path you chose comes with that kind of baggage! You are one of the best!!
I've never been into a korean celeb/idol like I did with Sulli. I just love that Sohee likes to keep herself authentic and is not a people pleaser. plus she really has a great artistic side and taste in music, movies, etc. She's a real deal fr
She's so brave...... I've loved all of her projects. Tbh she's one of the bold actresses who never settles for a single type of role & has a variety of characters potrayed, which is really fun to watch as a viewer.
Like literally so hee is one of my favorite kdrama actress 😌all this bad comments and all are all because she’s making it big despite all the trouble she has gone through . Am so proud of her And again all her projects from the kdrama to K-pop collaboration she did with JK are so amazing 🥰🤌🏽
When it comes to a war I know how it feels because I've lived in a country which had a war for 30 years and I witnessed the last 8 years of that war. Even I couldn't remember everything because I was a child I can remember how my parents were sacred to let me go to school and everyone in the family couldn't use the same bus or train because of bomb attacks. So, Being a Korean and standing for their country is completely understandable. She is a really brave woman and her acting skills also really good. And the chemistry between two main characters went well also. Don't expect to have all lovey dovely scenes in a triller action genre.
I have known Han So Hee from a Music video for seven with Jung Kook. She is absolutely amazing. During her last controversy, she stands her side of the issue without any fear of being bashed. She is a gorgeous and independent woman who is very successful in her acting career. I like her
She is the way she is , Real, authentic , cool, lovely and everything about her is inspiring .The way she was brought up and everything she went through ,we can see how she has coped with everything and was victorious . I love her ,I'm a die heart core fan of Miss Han So-Hee . No matter what I'll never stop supporting her , if anyone wants to start something regarding Her come on , I'm more than happy to knock you down.📌
I really admire Han So Hee courage and determination to pursue what she really want in life . We cannot choose our upbringing but we can choose to be a good person and shine in life on different aspects
han so hee they'll never make me hate you. she's incredibly talented and unlike many other korean celebrities isn't afraid to show her true personality and emotions.
I mean she must not be doing poorly in the film industry since the rumors only started circulating while she was filming The World of The Married. After that drama she has acted in Nevertheless, Soundtrack #1, My Name, and now Gyeongseong Creature. And she has many fans, especially internationally.
I loved her before, after and until now. Jealous netizens and crazy fans are just that, crazy😉. Go Han So Hee just be yourself and enjoy life. All the best in your life and career 💪✌🏻🥰
She’s def a superb actor! Eversince ‘The World of the Unmarried’ i fell in love with here. She’s soooo gorgeous and even more gorgeous with here authenticity and of not being afraid in showing her other/weak side. And for those who’ve beein saying her and Park Seo-Joon doesn’t have this chemistry!? Come on watch the ‘Gyeonseong Creature’ and you’ll gonna catch yourself crying all along. 🥰🥰
I have seen her in 2 shows and I am not from Korea and then is also stalked her insta and OMG she was so different and so refreshing and unique...not like other Korean actresses...it was so nice to see someone real like that...
I respect her so much more after hearing about all of this! She's definitely a positive influence in Korea's media landscape, female actors should not be held to such a ridiculous standard when male actors' standards are not even comparable, let alone the fact that in general the standards are way too high. Loved her in Gyeongsong Creature, no idea why people give her so much hate.
i really admire her. she's someone who isn't afraid to speak up about things that really matter, and has gone through a lot. she's not just another pretty face and has a good character despite her hardships. people like her are needed in entertainment.
It is amazing how the call “netezing” feel like they have the right to judge celebrities and cause so much damage without consequences. They are the ones who should be judge and punished
It's funny cus i know So Hee from watching several of her shows and advertisements, and I don't know who the hell Jungkook is. Not bashing this guy, just finding it quite toxic that particular group of his fanbase is for claiming she's using him for popularity. And I'm here like ?????? i now know about him thanks to her 👀
@@tannies_6137 I do not obsessively consume modern day Kpop that a typical Gen Z or Gen Alpha consumes, yes, but I do consume the occasional modern day Kpop via news and/or radio and/or social media, and i am very familiar with the original hallyu kpop wave from the 2000s to 2010s. Making this particular statement is very assumptive and very much generalising 3 or 4 entire generations of kpop music produced and their enjoyers/consumers. Modern day Kpop is not the only form of kpop to have existed. They came with predecessors which other generations or the current generations would have or may have entirely enjoyed, as with any other genres (e.g. country, hip-hop, etc). Genres are not limited to nor exclusive to any specific age range or target audience. Genres are timeless, only the matter of how much of a particular genre is being produced and/or consumed in a set duration is the defining condition to its profit-making longevity, and thus in other words, popularity. I have had, for a very long time, enjoyed the kpop genre and knew much about it. Anyho, your statement does not particularly bring any value to my comment as it does not change the fact that this dude's fans are something else. I'm merely stating a point that I had only heard of the existence of person B via person A and had never known of this person B, yet person B's fans seem to think person B is some indisputably well-known celebrity throughout the entire world population even though I'm pretty sure multiple generations of people (including ones like myself who have had at one point been thoroughly obsessed about kpop, and of course countless many others who have never consumed kpop like your statement suggests) and had the audacity to insult another celebrity (person A) which, no statistical estimate at this moment, at least one of such said generations (me), know about instead. He is, at least to such groups of the world population, in fact, not as popular or well-known in comparison to her. And based on the likes on this post, it is assumed that there are others who feel the same way as I do. Again, not bashing anyone at all, just stating a point observed, and being very disappointed in that particular cluster of his fanbase.
It is interesting that Japanese netizens would criticize this actress after the atrocities that the Japanese government/empire has perpetrated on much of Asia historically. The deaths are staggering.
I am south african and noticed in her most recent drama that So Hee is not only beautiful but extremely talented as an actor. I say watch out for this beautiful action movie actor.
One of my favourite actress Han So Hee !!! Loads of love Woman....may you continue to achieve greater heights in all your future endeavours. Stay true to yourself babe and don't listen to haters.
Its almost impossible to hate her if u know her true story behind camera, she is really an example how women shouldnt be judge just by her beauty but also for the hardworks n dedication she have for her lifes career
She's resilient and tenacious. She's an awesome role model for every authentic and emotionally mature woman. She's a survivor and timeless. I love how REAL she is. Cutting out toxic parents from your life is necessity for some.
Her stunts in Gyeongsong creature was 🔥. What a total badass. And she continue being bold and outspoken in a toxic society like that deserves applauds. Must be because of her difficult past. Things that are born out of fire seldom wilt under sunlight. Way to go Queen 👑
That's a pretty naive ill conceived comment to make: "no matter what". What if she is caught drink driving, stealing, defrauds people or worse even kills someone? You going to love her then too? Being 'authentic and fearless' does not equate with being a good person either. So often I come across statements like this made by people who know very little about the individual being spoken of, but can make such blanket statements. I know its the purview of the young and naive. You may love her acting, as that is the only thing you can do, since you probably do not know her personally and probably will never know her. She could for all we know be an abject narcissist or megalomaniac. Yes love her acting, love some of the stuff she does in public, but loving everything without knowledge means you will also stand behind some very bad behaviour that are not aware of. She maybe a very nice person and I am not for one moment saying she is a bad person, but wish people would think before they speak like this. You may get mad cos I am chastising for a thoughtless comment but I hope in the end you will see, and others see as well, the folly in speaking without thinking through.
Started loving her for her acting in world of the married and gonna continue loving and supporting her. She as an actoress is brilliant and as a person she seems brave and cool apart from other kdramas actoresses who try to be in that mold of being typical kdrama actoresses mold. She is one of the most brilliant actoresses of kdrama who doesn't afraid to show what kind of person she is in real life and as well as she spoke her mind through her posts. Also, my girl seems so humble and down to earth
When I saw the thumbnail, I recognised her right away, I was like wait where did I see this woman and when I started the video and saw her more clearly I remembered the world of the married. It's the only K-drama I watched with her in it and she was amazing. I hated her so much in the show because of the character she was portraying which shows hoe amazingly talented she is. I had no idea this was her life wooow. Then I have to say a lot of Koreans and the Korean industry need to stop with the misogynistic outdated standards. We're in 2024 now, not the 1950s, update your mentality. Finally, Japan needs to start teaching their real ww2 history to their citizens instead of covering up. Japan was a brutal imperialist nation that oppressed and slaughtered so many people in east Asia and South east Asia. Talking about that evil past isn't being anti-Japanese, it's being truthful about what happened in the past. Do better Japan, teach REAL history and educated the citizens so that they are aware and do not repeat what was done in the past.
Honestly, the last part is very unimportant now at least to modern day version Japanese. They literally became known as the most respectful people in the 21st century. Always strive to be humble and advanced with tech. I don’t think knowing the past help anyone in anyway. Also it is not like Japanese don’t know ww2. Most of them actually do. They also did apologize to korea too.
I feel like blaming the past hurt more. Like German today. People kept on blaming the younger generations. It is kinda annoying. Like are we sure we are teaching the younger generations to be aware or letting them blame themselves and trash their country here?
So Hee was a brilliant actress in "my Name" where her relentless pursuit of killers responsible for her father death brought her suffering and physical torture to learnt martial arts under a Drug Lord. Subsequently , she became a Narcotics Detective and discovered her father actual killers was the very drug lord who has take care of her. Korean TV and Movies directors really make good qualify shows with plots.
rather than putting focus on trolls' comment, it would be amazing if you can showcase about those who overcame hardships and succeed so that we can learn more about that individual and perhaps it can inspire those who needs inspiration in their lives.. perhaps putting spotlights on haters comment may draw more subscribers but believe me, more people are looking for positive reinforcements.
people who have grown up from such broken families and total hard work would understand and appreciate her more, people who hate her for being bold and being herself is entirely supidity, people expect her to be sweet and sober, she is actually sweet to her fans and loving.. but do not expect her to be someone who is not her. you cannot admire a fake outlook of anyone your whole life.. its great of her and i have loved her roles and her acting in each of her dramas
