the worst horror here is the fact that you left the fridge door open for four nights

Imagine walking into a store and the cashier won't stop flashing his flashlight at your face but has the nerve to complain about the car lights

Manly: This game is very bright! Also Manly: *Leaves flashlight on 24/7*

Never turned off the flashlight. Didn't finish stocking shelf. Didn't notice it raining inside the store. Leaves the fridge open.

I was amused that Manly was yelling at everyone to turn off their high beams while he was constantly flashing his flashing in their faces.

This game nails the boredom of retail work, with all the good and bad that implies. I like this, but I'd also understand why someone would dislike it due to the segments of waiting. Still, some fun scares. Also, I quite like Manly pointing out just how many ghosts go after poor innocent employees who are just doing their job and happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. It happens a lot.

The real horror is the fact that you left your house open while you were working at night

i just realized that the NPCs faces are just real faces glued to the models. Ala Siren Style. its so Uncanny Valley to look at them!

The real horror of working any job that beeps when someone has entered into the store is that you hear the beeping when you're not at work

if anyone wants to know, im pretty sure the "throw it in the trash" ending is the same as the ending where you watch the tape - the ghost still gets ya

Fascinated that manly remembered the homeless man outside the store and even gave him food (which I havent seen any other people do) but simultaneously forgets to close the apartment & fridge doors and turn off the flashlight

I just realized the protagonist uses the flashlight even in the convenience store when its brightly lit, shining in people's faces.

Manly: _(sees Ring kid messing with the doors)_ Damn punk kids! >:( --- Woman: How could they let a girl work alone at night? Here take this charm, it will protect you :D _(things proceed to get worse)_

As someone who worked for customer service during night shifts, I can definitely confirm that this was my experience.

Every let's play I've seen has gotten the bad ending, should've known Manly wouldn't let us down!

I just realized that the old lady at 20:40 was probably the mother of the ghost woman who got stabbed, since her house was apparently at that same site as the store and the old lady probably still thought she was at her house. Interesting.

This playthrough makes me think Manly used to work at a convenience store

I choose to view it that she took her time only carrying one beer at a time for this guy who’s “in a hurry”

Most people would assume that the night shift would be the best shift for someone in customer service, but honestly, that's when all the crazy people come in. Not to mention the fact that since there are far fewer employees on the night shift(usually), the chances of someone stealing something, or attempting to/actually robbing the store are exponentially higher than during the day.

The ultimate horror is how Manly left the fridge open for 4 days straight.

Legends speak of a store. The store on the edge of an unknown city. To all inside it's walls, it may as well be hell. Things constantly out of stock, cash registers acting up, security systems going off without a reason. The store where the patient, calm and the stupid go to get their day ruined. Inside it's walls, there is a aura of discomfort and built-up rage. Anyone foolish enough to try and gain dominion of the store are met with the cold embrace of insanity. The store's name? The Inconvinience Store

"SIr, I'll just be stocking in the back. Feel free to peruse our products and not steal anything." Having been the sole worker at a convenience store during the graveyard shift, I guarantee this is 100% accurate. Difference being, our door alarm was busted.

The VHS tape aesthetic was so well-done here, was nice and subtle, not too overstated or filled with scratches and scanlines, looks exaclty like my home movies from the 90s.

As someone who has worked at a supermarket for 10 years, I can confirm that these horrors do happen and are true.

I know this is late, but I just want to point out the number 4 displayed on the television in the shack/storage where we see the manager's "dead" (I paused the video to write this so idk if the manager really is dead but it looks like it) body. In Japanese culture, the number 4 is considered as unlucky and some hotels and hospitals don't even have floor 4 on them. Four is an unlucky number in Japan because it sounds like shi (死 - death). This is why there are two readings for the number four, shi and yon. Most the time, people avoid using the "deathly" one.

i get the feeling the dev is setting Okaeri, Stigmatized Property, and Convenience store within the same neighborhood. From Okaeri, the hanged person. From SP, the red umbrella. Remember the weird dude you first meet talked about an evil "thing that cannot be named." I wouldn't be surprised if Inunaki Tunnel, Yuki Onna, and Aka Manto were in the same universe - or even the same town!

Manly saying "Chinchilla?" is probably the most I've ever heard him have emotion lol

This game is kind of interesting actually, even if the framerate stutter of it gives me a headache. And Manly really brings his adorable charm and amusing insight to the game helps a lot with the kind of lulls in the game.

Ah the completionism that Markiplier just won’t give us anymore, thank you Manly for being an epic gamer.

Also, two tips after playing this thing: 1. There's a way to cheese the game's "dark street" phenomenon. You can make the street bright again by pressing ESC, then disable "Volumetric Lights" and re-enable it, doing so will make those street lamps turn back on. 2. You can just click every single TV appear in the haunted store, if you're unsure which ones the ghost kid was looking at. Only 4 of them will respond anyways.

This gameplay of Manly broke my phone literally. I was in the middle of watching it when my phone's screen suddenly turned off while the sound was loudly screeching nonstop. It glitched or whatever and it died lol I can't open it anymore. Need to bring it to service center soon. I'm continuing watching from my laptop. Hopefully, this one doesn't break as well lol

Imo nothing out of the ordinary happens until 38 minutes in, the rest is just your average retail hell

i'm glad i watched this after my classes on food waste, because i feel a little less bad for the homeless man. turns out more often than not? expired food doesn't always mean rotten. it just means its quality won't be as good as it was before the expiration date. however, markets tend to fool us into thinking otherwise which causes serious food waste. hell, there are a lot of dumpsters that are full of perfectly good food for small reasons such as mistakes on the boxes, or mild deformity in the product! i really do hope nothing was rotten in that bag, though. the homeless man should definitely smell the food to check beforehand ;;;;;

Don't get me wrong I do like the popular RU-vidr's like Markiplier, JackSepticEye, GameGrumps, Bijuu Mike, Azzman and Super Best Friend's Play, but you have something else that they don't. I like your sense of humor and I feel like I go on a journey with you with every game you play. You might be older than me, too? I turn 27 in April and I'm not saying this because I'm a female, but I overall really like you, not just your appearance, but your personality, too. You're really funny and actually fun to watch. You've cheered me up a lot with your video's and they've gotten me to laugh when I was down or having a bad day. Also never stop doing what you do and even if you do quit one day. In today's episode...Manily plays a "done with this BS" convience store clerk girl who leaves her pocket flashlight on during work. XD Also does absolutely nothing in the store like cleaning, adjusting product. Manly is best employee.

I worked as a customer service for a bank and sometimes when it was hectic I had to overtime alone until 1AM... and seriously... nothing scared me the most than a call from an angry customer at 12AM, every time I just wish it was Sadako or something...

As someone who once worked the night shift at a 24 hour petrol station, I can honestly say it's a lot less of whatever this is, and a lot more sitting on your ass, drinking coffee, reading books and making conversation with the occasional lorry driver, mostly about who's having the shittiest day. Honestly, on day 3 of a 4 day stint, I'd happily take something creepy happening just to break the monotony.

One time my job had an event. I sat under a tent for 6 hours. For two days. All I did was read a book and talk to people that got picked up by a shuttle bus. It was boring when no one would show up. One day a fight broke out across the street. That was my only highlight those two days.
