Dear Ashan, thanks a lot for this great cooking video of Beebi Hameed, Fareena Dias, Shiromi Jagath and Razmy Dias. Dias family is known to me since 20+ years. Beebi's awesome cooking was always one good reason for me to visit Haputale and her home village Thotulagala again and again. A village and family which became a home for me as well. I was very much appreciated to find this cooking video made by you. After looking it I can remember so many good meals I got from Beebi. I remember she had her own book with cooking recipes collected over many years. It makes me sad to think about the present travel situation between Europe and Sri Lanka. When I see this delicious prepared meals, I can memorize the taste, even knowing I'm in Germany now, not in Sri Lanka. It makes me one more time to feel home sick, to wish to return to Sri Lanka asap. Everyone is welcome to Haputale, find the White Monkey and have a chance to join the cooking skills of Beebi. You will love it. I shared this video with some friends in India and Germany. All like it very much but throughout same response: fresh/hot water or local tea would be a better drink to join with this cooking of natural vegetables, fruits and spices.

This is a fantastic programme Derana. And Ashan is doing a very good job in presenting it. He makes everyone around him very comfortable. This programme can be a great way of documenting Sri Lanka's amazing food culture to the future generations. I'd like to suggest you to talk a little bit more about the history of the food they make - like it's origin and any historical stories related to it, or if it's a twist to an original recipe. But please continue to do this, it's very valuable.
"No fingers should be added. Only Pumpkin"😂 Those are nice memories of the programme. We made manioc rotti and enjoyed the taste of it. Thank you so much for the episode. Watched it four times 😀
Wow nice cooking episode Hodama de hama culture ekakma ekathu karapu eka jathi beda nathuwa me wage hamoma hitiyoth ape rate hama kenek langama me wage sathutak thiyei Good luck for the program
I don’t understand why would anyone even consider hitting 👎🏻 for a program like this. Absolute madness! Thoroughly enjoying this program as much as you do Ashan. However must state that Ashan’s usual enthusiasm and his happiness was slightly lacking. Seemed like he was distracted by something. Did that lady scare you Ashan? She seems very sweet though. All the best Ashan and the team!
Ashan ayyage voice eka mara lassanai . Voice tone eke Honda personality ekak included wela thiyenawa. Radio 📻 announcing wala nam supiri friendly porak 👌
Beautiful program Ashan. Love you very much 😘 💜 although BB teacher is the stern one I think she was concerned about your safety the most 🙂 Felt that love. Don’t be scared of stern women who don’t smile. Most of the time a woman can give you the brightest smile but have the most vicious thoughts in their minds 😉 Be careful.
