Ice cream, cotton candy and other desserts comes from the 1st Persian Empire around 550 BC, Iranians are believed to have created a sweet frozen dessert called *Faloodeh* , which is made of ice, honey, saffron, and fruits. The Persian Empire (today Iran) is believed to have created *Sharbat* , a chilled dessert drink.

Reading Terminal Market looks so much like Milwaukee Public Market. They're both relatively close to water but of course in Milwaukee it's Lake Michigan. On the takeout boxes for ice cream, if you watch the Judy Garland movie Meet Me in St. Louis (1944) there's a scene where Rose (Lucille Bremer) goes down to the drugstore to get ice cream for the family and she comes home with one of those. Her would-be beau offers her a ride home so that the ice cream doesn't melt.

Ice cream comes from Persia, same with cuttoncandy, and goes back to over 2000 years. cuttoncandy is even older, these all reached europe only around 17th century around the end of the colonisation era, and Italy was among the first eu countries which adapted both of these products. when she shown the sabatier method i searched int he internet and couldn’t find anything about it but the image was shown was very interesting to see how the older ancient methos have started to develop into the modern ones. just a brief explanation about it’s the history of ice cream for those who enjoy history and origins 😊🍦
