I remember a build (on AB iirc), called "toxic fairy" or something like that. It used Freezing arrow w/ PSapphired bow (everything non-immune gets frozen for awhile), and Plague+LF on swap. Never tried this for real, but enjoyed another budget hybrid build: a mix of Witchyzon, Slow/Knockback Multi+Strafezon and LF. Probably, my second fav after Zerker. Does need Razortail, but both LF and Strafe/Multi utilize it. Also, WWS' +Allres balances a shield on swap, thus no tankiness raise and drop during fights. WWS is quite a unique bow, actually: with more than humble damage numbers, its %DS and Amplify (procs often on a pack because of 100% Pierce), combined with 2 sockets (I use Eths to hit things reliably) make it even unupped quite strong on budget. And Fires Magic arrows too, so you can always kill some, say, Possessed PIs without spending your arrows or mana. With a bit of leech, PMH/OW and upped WWS you can casually wipe WSK or any other location with bow alone, but sometimes exploding a screen with a single LF is too much fun to pass. And no 0 Vit modern nonsence for spoiled rich kiddies: past 170 Dex +%ED will not really decide much if we have Might merc. Can this fly on SSF? 2-socketed Cruel bow or Passion in a bow (completely forgot they've got Insight now), Hit power gloves, Multi instead of Strafe to compensate for lack of Razortail. LF is good enough without synergies, but maxing CS is also an option. Might aura merc, still.
That actually sounds really sweet. I've added it to my neverending list of builds to play. Oh yeah it'll work fine on SSF. Like you mentioned it'll probably end up with going for an Insight. I don't know about what merc I would go for I would figure that out while playing tbh.
If you want to see what she can do, try gjving her a Bramble runeword armor. I also used Edge to maximize the thorns aura, but thorns aren't that great, after all. However, combjned with dxplosive arrow, it's still a fun build.
I wanma try that build as well at some point. I think it will do very well. Yeah that worldstone took me like 30 minutes to just clear those 2 paths it was insane.
I was bored and started a Trapsin build yesterday... I was playing Paladin and Fury Druid before and I must say: Trapsin is way more fun. She doesn't have to get her hands dirty, great crowd control and if it gets rough she also hits like a truck and can take a beating... Im relatively new to d2r
Stumbled upon your channel and love these play-through summaries. This one looks fun, was considering a poison/light zon but may do this instead. Thoughts on freezing arrow instead of exploding?
@@thenuclearrabbit I think I’ll be adding it to the list of builds to try soon. Currently working on a classic FOH pally. Got any new play throughs in the works for us to look forward to?
@@DanJouas Good luck on your run! Yes absolutely, the next video is about 90% done. I've just had a crazy month with some life stuff. But there will be many more runs soon :)
Why don't you start by chilling the fuck out kid ? And peoples having expectations for a game that has some glaring issues and and them for well over a decade and has be re-released recently is pretty damn normal.@@ham7357
New content is always welcome. Some cool special ladder only thing would be fun as well. I'm not really wanting stuff added but I'm always open to new stuff to try
Great content as usual. Btw, a2 cold merc is pretty nice imo until you get a5 merc. Stays back, easy to give him resist through shield and good CC for you
Mister next time do not sell and buy XD u buy oer 10 times expensier plus u shall reapair it and the jabelin gets refilled! ;p you are welcome my friend
Hmmm, I wouldn't call it difficult but it's something that very quickly takes a lot of time. Removing all the ahh's and uhhh's and weird scenes and making it all work together. It's a huge puzzle. I enjoy it but it takes more time than the actual run sometimes.
Poison Amazon + any other skill is great for finishing the game. Pretty fun to play aswell, you have to run around everywhere while minding your position at all times.
she also needs nothing to finish the game, and the gameplay is so asmr, contrary to constant donnerblitz of LF build. With the insane changes coming in S5, I'm gonna try the CS/PJ HC SSF.
As you sold your Javelin in Normal i was instantly curious, if you mention the thing in later game that space of Vendors are sometimes full and you don´t get back your sold Items. Then you did it to yourself! Hilarious :D
So I don't have to walk to the repair npc. Gold is completely irrelevant. When needed I just farm more and I've maxed stash's before while doing a ssf run. I'd rather spend the gold than walk 2 seconds
From what I understand the poison counts with different timers all go on by themselves instead of together. I'm sure someone can explain it much better than I can though.
Unless it changed in d2r, it works like this. The poison damage *does* stack, but they continue on their own timers, limited by the shortest duration you have. Eg:: your plague javelin does 100k over 10 seconds (not accurate numbers, but I'm making math easy), so basically 10k a second. However, you have poison charm that does 300 damage over 3 seconds, 100 per second. Together, it's 10100 per second, BUT because the charm is limited to a 3 second timer, the game stops the damage given at that 3 second point. It does NOT compress the damage on plague javelin, it truncates it. So in the end, you deal 30300 damage over 3 seconds. Thanks for coming to my ted talk. (I used to play competition pvp as a Plague Zon, I carry this useless knowledge forever.)
horadric staff disappeared because you play on a console and sometimes when you exit quickly, the game will not have time to save all the changes made to your account. It will be able to register, for example, that you have used the runes and the base, but it will not have time to notice that you have made a new item with it. Yeah. I play on Switch. Annoying. :(
