A house (a multi family brick or wood frame) is something physical like a building, a home is something figurative that represents a sentiment of emotion and personal place where someone lives (like his apartment "which he doesn't own") so the sentence should be differently written out. "WOW Ian's apartment (home) is great!!! :D Ian come decorate my home plz" I'm sure since your first language is English, so this shouldn't be a mistake you make on the daily right?
@@PotatoGawds Emma lives in the Tokyo metropolitan area. Chris Broad lives in Sendai, while Natsuki lives in Yamagata (if I recall correctly). The two of them live in totally different prefecture located more than 300km north of Tokyo.
Yooo, Ian is a cool guy He takes careful consideration in his home’s aesthetic and it really speaks out of what he likes Has Hamburger lamp, movie area, iPad in kitchen, sneakerhead It’s a combination of practical and style
Ian's apartment is exactly how I'd picture my apartment in Japan, if I ever get one haha, it's awesome! I'd simply add some sort of display case for the potential figurines that i'd inevitably collect.
All the things he's mounted onto the walls was cool, like the kitchen iPad, and the board in the front hall with all the hooks to hang stuff. The sneaker organizing device looks handy! And of course, you've gotta love all the little figurines.
Ian is such an interesting dude, wish he was more on TC. Not to mention how handsome he is, I wouldn't mine hopping in for a visit..sorry about that :D Cool apartment, loved this episode!
And here Im used to my wobbly appartment with no heat and lukewarm water that cost about 1800 swedish kronor. But it is about 32 m2 and it is in the attic. I could have a race with tincans from my halway to the kitchen because the floor is not straight. I Love your apartment!!
Really awesome usage of space at Ians place! I love that you made room for what mattered, (your kicks)and I really dig the Adidas Tokyo sticker on your electric box as natsuki would say. Great content as always and I look forward to the next video!
I wish we got to look at all his knick knacks and be told the stories behind them. Emma did take the time to go over Shirori's collection. Other than that, he clearly has made great use of the space! I especially like the hammock lol
That's really cool. Living in the suburbs of central Florida, a place that size would be like half that price. But in the middle of a city, that would be a great little place for a single person. I couldn't imagine having a place that small with my son lmao.
Nicely decorated apartment! And Nakameguro is a very nice area! Stayed at an air bnb once near Yutenji station and Nakameguro was a nice area for us. Ian's apartment is on par with mine and my bf apartment. Filled with pop culture! Unfortunately storage here is quite expensive so we had to get a 2 bedroom apartment and one bedroom is basically storage for more pop culture items. I say you name the hamburger lamp after a McDonald's character from back in the day called "Mayor McCheese". Bonus points for the Peanuts pillow!
That's surprisingly cheap, especially for somewhere like Tokyo. I'm in southeast US in a city of about 100k, and rent for apartments in the same size range is around $1-1.2k as well.
Your comment about not being mature because of the decoration... I think our generation is growing differently and we prefer to show off what we love. May it be cartoons or anime related things, it's your space and you seem pretty grown to me no matter what you keep inside your home.
The kid on the Goldberg TV show said that displaying toys is how adults play with toys...its how those of us who didn't document every meal or thing we did growing up with pictures/video reconnect with our past. Its poseable plastic photo albums.
There’s no “spending too much time” exploring someone’s collection. Cmon Emma. I know you’re one of those that throws EVERYTHING away, but some of us really treasure these things. 🤷♀️ This should’ve been an hour long. He’s FAR more interesting than tRyInG bOrInG dEsSeRt ShOpS. 🙄
Was watching this on speakers and out of nowhere my Google Home was shouting at me that I had no lights connected to it xD Safe to say volume 10 is a bit loud when you're not hoovering :| Loving the apartment though, especially a fan of those shoe storage devices, might need to get me some of those...
