13:18 my guess on how that works is that pows don't activate when they land on your head. Only when you jump. So I'm guessing there's like 1 frame where Mario is no longer considered jumping, so the pow jumps off his head instead of activating

to get the key in the 'getting over it' level. after you hit the on/off switch midway, you drop back down to the bottom where there's a conveyer belt that goes off to the right. I saw it in a Panga video awhile ago, but don't remember which one.

In the pow bam level, what is happening is that you are jumping just right so that you are coming down when the pow block falls on your head and bounces. Same as it does when one falls of tracks or something and you can juggle it.

The boot disappears I think because of what Ceave Gaming calls "Spawn blocking", which in Mario Maker games if you try to have the game load-in something in one spot, but that specific spot is already taken-up, the thing will not spawn in there. That's also how people make levels where a Bill Blaster takes up the spot of a door you try to exit out of but is blocked by the Bill Blaster. I assume that the boot you get from the Goomba and the boot the Goomba was wearing, are technically two different "actors" in the level, so while the enemy doesn't get spawn blocked, once the boot drops, it's treated as an item that spawns-in, and due to the cramped space and the P Switch and POW Block, the boot cannot spawn in, and therefore it gets erased.

That thwomp trick would best for Sonic type levels, I think.

You roll and you don't die there I think is because Mario switches to his sliding animation at the last second before the game triggers the hit and hurtboxes, which when Mario is sliding, he's got near 100% invincibility

I thought I would share this since some people are looking for it.. People knowing more make better levels. Red coin Glitch, or Kill enemy glitch(that will store info-passes info pass the death barrier) Any red coin positioned 35 frames under a door creates an anomaly in a mechanism setup. So you setup about 100 one ways. Then add a note block, muncher bomb switch trigger system. When you enter the room, the red coin is an entity that can be gathered and then you hit the check point. Stops the noteblock from spawning the muncher. Even if you die.... Since it stored the red coin If the red coins are collected and you get a "KEY death". When your taken back to this checkpoint with the red coin below it. You gather the coin at the 35 fifth frame (apparently-I htink its just a gathering order of operations), the muncher trigger spawns the muncher this time.. so everytime you go back to the checkpoint, you trigger a switch. This then allows you to change the whole layout of your design.. from twice twice, to re collecting the red coins and entering another key door, to win. its an operation of order... This owuld work in levels with conditions but sadly death starts ina protective zone.. Whereas when in the map, players can get a checpoint from a different angle then upon respawning... this works with one time blocks and enemies setup as spawns or trigger points also, However the main thing with teh red coin, key death is that the information of the red coin and the entity limit reset causes the note lbock ot spawn an enemy instead of not spawning the enemy. Thus How key death levels work... I haven't tested with coins or large coins, but it is interesting. the complicated this is that the onyl way to test it is to... save the level and play through yourself... I think Ceavegaming has a level that showed how to do this... Theoretically with certain door setups and two checkpoints, you could cycle various coin entity states.. ie area 51...
