Green supporters like to say the great council of 101 choose male over female but they forget the KING actually picked who his heir would be. King Jaehaerys I told them to pick "who they'd like" and they picked Prince Viserys and Jaehaerys honored their pick by naming his grandson, but it was still up to the King. He could've heard their choice and been like "Nah, I'm picking Princess Rhaenys or Leanor". The King name his successor not the other way around. Princess Rhaenyra was the lawful successor to King Viserys I.
A successor, but hardly lawful. Viserys broke many laws in favoring Rhaenyra, not just the patriarchal ones, but by supplanting trueborn children of two noble houses in favor of illegitimate ones. Aegon I made it a point to uphold Westerosi law/culture to hold the realm united. Viserys named Rhaenyra out of grief, not duty. Aegon II turned out the way he did because his ENTIRE family failed him as a human being, so obviously he's not going to be a good king now, but everything could have been avoided if Viserys named him heir.
Honestly, it Vicerys had stayed CLEARLY that Rhaenyra or Aegon was to be ruler and had actually PREPARED either of them to actually rule, tjis could’ve been avoided
They had no problem ignoring the laws of succession when it came to passing over women. The claims of Aegon and Rhaena’s daughters, Aerea and Rhaella, were ignored and Jaehaerys was crowned King instead. Rhaenys was the daughter of Aemon, the King’s heir, but she was passed over by Jaehaerys for his second son Baelon.
@ryanasencio8299 tradition vs law. Once the king made his decree, that was considered law...tradition stated otherwise. The law is whatever the king says
This is so incredibly beautiful. First of all, the music- goosebumps ans chills. Second, everything about this is so radically dofferent than the greens. Rather than a father who bullied his daughter into bullying her teenage son into becoming king when he was unfit, you have a mature woman raised to rule, with her genhinely loving and aupportive family around her. There is no intrigue or ulterior motives. Her people are loyal to her. That Knight with the crown was so moving. Imagine what he went though. And most moving of all is Daemon. He is incredibly ambitious and independent but he is also extremely loyal to those he loves. He is loyal to Rhaenyra and kneels before her. That says so much. I wish so badly it had a happy ending.
It's actually my favorite scene of the season. I wanted this moment for Dany in GoT, but to have it here for Rhaenyra with that incredible score really filled that hole for me. Also, in contrast to Aegon's coronation, which was purely spectacle, the fact that she seems so unkempt here made it feel ironically more proper.
@@ryanasencio8299Agreed Dany and her entire family excluding two face Varys and hypocritical, egotistical, and maniacal Tyrion deserved all the happiness in the world. Don't acknowledge season 8 even GRRM himself said it was trash
Do you know what's the saddest? After her coronation, Rhaenyra actually said she wouldn't hurt Aegon, Helena or Aemond because she didn't want to kill her own kin (of course, that was before Vhagar ripped poor Luke and Arrax to shreds). Yet Alicent told the reluctant Aegon that Rhaenyra would kill all of them, should Aegon let her take the Iron Throne. He didn't even want the crown initially. His reign started just because his mother made him believe a lie.
If you blame your parents for your actions then you are brain dead also she would have eventually killed then all to secure her rule that’s how it goes
No, even reluctantly she would send to death all the potential competitors for the throne to strenghten her position. She needs to because she would appear too weak to all the lords of the Seven Kingdoms. She would do it if necessary.
My beautiful black queen! I’ll always stand by her. So disrespectful she had to be crowned on a mountain next to her dead infant but she saw the support she has and pursued on. Yes she has bastards.. yes she committed adultery but y’all greens come at her neck but her supporters DO NOT care. Also, I love how Rhaenys is so proud. Proved her wrong from that conversation in episode 2.
Love that Rheanys didn’t bow. Shows her strength. Also, I think it’s meant to illustrate that she considers herself the true queen, or atleast that she considers her and Rheanyra as equals
it's more because marriage takes priority over blood, and since her house (Velaryon) hasn't yet supported a side officially she's in no position to bow to someone who isn't her ruler. I don't think she at all considers herself the true queen, she's just proud of Rhaenyra for taking the first step towards getting what's rightfully hers.
Glória a Rainha Negra! Rhaenyra Targaryen!! Primeira de seu nome! Rainha legítima do Trono de Ferro! Rainha dos Ândalos, dos Roynares e dos Primeiro Homens! Rainha dos Sete Reinos e Protetora do Reino! #BlackTeamForever 🖤🖤🖤🖤
@@MelmordNO I support rightful heirs and characters who put the people first. Also if you are taking about child murder look at the Greens. Everyone excluding Helena are murderous psychopath. The fact Otto convinced his daughter to fight against Rhyanera instead of collaborating shows who is the monster.
@@Slingshot521 You mean when he chocked her and wanted to burn Kings Landing right away? I also remember him just brutulazing the people of the capital to send a message
Facts two Targaryens on the Iron Throne made more sense than that trash ass season 8 with failed writers destroying a masterpiece. Just don't acknowledge season 8 even GRRM himself said it was Trash
Jon obviously would but dany lost her mind and massacred. She would eventually kill every one of them who would not kneel to her. She would burn winterfel cause the north wouldn’t kneel along with free folks that would be a massacre that's why tyrion inspired jon to kill her.
@@M_Farha Dany didn't lose her mind she was heartbroken over the loss of her sister. You said she would have burn Winterfell if they didn't kneel you mean the same person who saved Winterfell from the army of the dead Wow. Irregardless of the fact of the dead coming past the wall Dany didn't need to go there. She could have been selfish and say let me get my throne but instead chose to protect the 7 kingdoms with all her assets. The only thing you are playing into is that wack ass season 8 written by failed writers where even the creator himself GRRM said it was trash.
@@Slingshot521 brother you forget that winter came for everyone not just for winterfel. Dany did warcrime . She burnt down a city where there were innocent lives too. She was heartbroken i know that but he can't just massacre and get over it. Since she was queen there was no one to punish her thats why jon had to kill and betray her. From my point of view it was trash too cause it was too quick and they told that in an interview that they had to be quick to finish the show. Don't know why they have to choose this ending but one thing for sure is dany needed to die one way or another but i didn't want jon to kill her. She could've died differently.
@@M_Farha Honestly I'm appalled you are saying Get over it? Don't ever say to anyone going through emotional grief, depression, and most importantly the loss of some precious a family member. To GET OVER IT anyone losing family members I dare you to say GET OVER IT and say their emotional wounds me nothing. Missandei was a sister to Dany and most importantly protected 2 nations so her worth was immense. Last time I check bro Dany didn't commit any war crimes. She protected, serving, and using all assets and resources to protect the people of the 7 kingdoms against the end of the world Hello. That's a Queen no matter what anyone says. The fact is she was still willing to take the high road and seek peace that's completely overlooked and worse her losses meant nothing but there's meant something. That's the VERY DEFINITION of being TWO FACE and worse a HYPOCRITE. Dany has always remained the same and worse failed writers butchered a masterpiece. That's the truth brother. Jon got duped by a shit dwarf who was only looking out for his worthless and psychotic family. Dany deserved to live and rule never die FACT. Dany's family done more to better the world than anyone in GOT history. The season was completely trash and worse destroyed by failed writers even GRRM himself said so
Актриса производит просто ошеломляющее впечатление, даже не ожидал такой актерской мощи и мастерства. Это тебе не халися и мама лена из Гаматрона😁 тут уровень игры качественно другой, уровень большого кино
After Game of thrones, I was so pissed by the direction the show went that I flatly refused to watch House of the Dragon. I am just now starting to get over it. I was wondering if anyone can tell me how faithful is this show to the source material and lore over all plz and thx.
It’s pretty faithful and they got rid of the two idiots who ruined GoT so i think you’re good, watch this it’s actually good despite the few little changes they made but nothing major that could ruin the story. And the story is finished in the books so I don’t think you need to worry about ruining the story and all of that. Just keep in mind that the book this show is based on is written as a history book so a lot of things are still a surprise to everyone. But it’s really good, easily better than the last three season of GoT which is a good thing.
Well she was the right heir and this is a good coronation but i hate her she doesn't deserve to be queen . The only reason i want her to be queen is because it's not right to deny someone something because of thire gender. Actually none of them deserve it not rhaenyra and not ageon
Oh but aegon is much better...lmao a drunk usurper who likes to watch Lil children fight to the death and rapes every handmaid he sees. Yeah let's make him king
