I now have Twitch Vod channel for Twitch Vods and stuff. Watch stuff like this weeks in advance of me editing it right here: ru-vid.com/show-UCCgwpIoibMwBmElwxVhakaw
its like dungeons and dragons but jolly and buttons. even if you act dumb (and funny) you still honest , thats i like about youtube creators and streames there are people that act honestly and natural like in life . i literaly cant watch tv cz of that fakeness and liery they are not real they are just bleak shadows of people
Half-Life 2 uses a ton of stock sound effects. The one I always notice is the "dropping a bag full of chains" sound the Combine make. Honestly I'm surprised there isn't a Wilhelm Scream in HL2.
"I know some of you guys hate it when I stand around monologuing so I made a video that's 70% me standing around monologuing. Hope u like it." What do you mean Jolly? That's literally the only reason I even watch you.
- "it crashed" “Try not to dwell on it” - **pushes all the buttons except the marked one** **gets send to therapy** - **talk about how expecting a different result is "normal"** **explosion**
Something about your voice and personality along with this little game had me engaged the whole way through. I usually have the attention span of a goldfish, but with this I didn’t look at the progress bar once. It was just a continuous experience. Nice video.
Fun fact: Goldfish have pretty average memory, and have a higher attention span than the average human. The idioms are actually entirely based on the fact that they look like they have no thoughts and empty heads
@@Bubbly_Dragon you’re right. I actually used that idiom because I read somewhere that internet users quite literally have the attention span of a goldfish (10 seconds of so?). That idea just stuck with me.
Jolly explaining how it's fun to destroy other people's things and not your own stuff is perhaps the smartest thing I've ever heard from him, and now I'm genuinely afraid.
I like how this is a really brilliant analysis of the toll players put on a developer's mental health, and him coming to accept that it doesn't have to be big and long and complex to be good, but Jolly is just like "Haha button go clicky"
@@April_a26 I mean, I'm pretty sure it is. I've felt very similar things, with being afraid to show my game to others, getting demotivated due to player feedback, etc.
There's a few, but nothing grand, just easter egg kind of things similar to the fox-grapes encounter and the cardboard on a couch encounter. If you find them all you get all the achievements.
I love your videos as usual, but i do miss the distinct subtitles we all know and loved. Don't worry, i remember the strain it put on your work schedule and just how much work went into them. Still love you Jolly.
The way I see it a video every week or two vs one subbed video every month or two is worth the trade-off. For both income and mental health. Plus I have so much content I WANT to get out but with my old editing style never could.
@@JollyWangcore Absolutely reasonable. We all know just how hard you had to work to put out those videos so it's not like anyone's hounding you for it. I'm just happy I'm getting a bit more of ol' jolly, but I just miss the old times sometimes you know? I think your doing great though.
National Geographic be like: "Here, we see a wild Jolly in his natural habitat.. You'd think this would be a rare event, but no, this happens all the time..."
I simply cannot express into words how much I love Jolly's interaction with these games... ... or pretty much any game. Such a comforting attitude after a long ass day at work.
At the end when the guy is showing his feeling of self doubt and insecurity, where he says that he is afraid of trying because of the fear of falling and making something that is not good enough... at the end when he lets go and just gives you what the game is, a button. Jolly: BUTTON! YEAH! LOVE IT! Jolly is just so unapologetic sincere, I absolutely adore it!
“Maybe if you are someone watching the entire thing on the internet right now, maybe consider paying for a copy anyway” Jokes on you I only have a Cardputer!
Jolly, I don't mind at all that you don't put your regular subtitles in since that takes effort, but check the game menu to see if it has them. The Corridor does have subtitles and I'm surprised you didn't turn them on, pretty much every content creator that talks over the game would do so.
This reminds me of the old loony toons episode animator vs animation or something like that. It's been remade several times but the one I remember was Daffy being manipulated by Bugs. I think the more recent version was Bugs being drawn by Elmer. The trope still holds up.
British dude, I think you're severely undermining how simple a game can be and Jolly will still play it with absolute glee, for the amusement of people online
3:28 Cmon now Jolly, no need to demean yourself even if it is funni haha thing to do. You're smart, and good at vidya games. Just not always observant.
I feel like that video description is oddly in line with the message of the game. Also it's entirely -unsurprisingly- unbemusingly in line with Jolly, of course. Kicking over our sandcastles and shit. I feel like Jolly would enjoy the Stanley Parable. His attitude towards pushing buttons practically makes him the main character, I'm sure he'll relate to him.
I'd like to give credence to, in particular, the segment made to replicate performing on a stage and how jolly reacts. His initial hesitation and fear of being disappointing or messing up no matter how much he's practiced, the brief pause just before the action, and the final moment of realization and clarity that comes from understanding that it doesn't matter what it is he's actually doing. Good or bad, entertaining or a stunning failure, it doesn't matter. "I'm just going to push a button"
The way jolly accomplish pushing all the button in this game reminds me of my unity implementation of AI pathfinding. It just doesn't work as intended.
17:15 well unity has 35565 m (and unreal i think) limit before things become wonky. so at the rate of the movement, which is about 4 km/h, you're gonna be walking...24 years, 4 months and some hours or so.
