One of their best songs. I don't know why or who decided to pick this song as a bonus tracks but it makes me sad that specially with the Corrs, most of their best songs ended up unknown because of them being non lp/bonus tracks. I've always asked myself what on earth was their label thinking about when they took this decission. Back then most of us didn't have internet and unless you saw the single in the shop, you didn't know about the b-side's existance...and they could have easily become main singles. Look at Rainy day, Miracle, Lifting me... I´ll never get over this fact...
It was a common thing that record companies used to do. I also forces people to buy the single. I was already a fan when Only When I Sleep came out and so I bought the single and the song was on it. It is also on the Japanese release of Talk On Corners and also a few other asian ones. I do think though, that the sound is different from the rest of the album, I am not sure it would have fitted well, so not surprise it was a B-Side but this song is probably my favourite from that era and in my top 5 Corrs songs :) What I Know is very good too. You're right, Lifting Me wasn't bad either, it would have been a better single that Would You Be Happier for instance ;) Rainy Day was more Forgiven sound than TOC so I guess, it was too late or too different to be added. Miracle does not do it for me ... I thought Head In The Air on the Breathless single is actually better than Breathless itself and sounds very different from In Blue. Judy is the typical useless Bside lol
I agree.. it's so hard to find their hidden gems like this song, Rainy Days, Lifting Me, etc especially on the music platform nowadays. I do really love those songs 😢
Some will miss out when you make as many good songs as they do. It's like sitting on the bench for Manchester City or Real Madrid. I would have replaced Intimicy with this on Talk On Corners though.
the aesthetic feels though. I have been listening to this song so I always search it here on youtube, then I found this. I was surprised that there's a very high quality and aesthetically pleasing lyric video of this song, considering that this is underrated. Not many people know this song so thank you so much for this! Hopefully, more videos like this to come.
