@Gonnakillyou Sword edges that are meant to do serious cutting are indeed more fragile than most people thought, that's why you're never supposed to parry a blow with the edge, rather with the flat or for the shashka with the thick blunt spine.
@HaNsWiDjAjA Shashka is not sword, its more like a long knife. The idea of it is to make the handle as light as possible and cutting edge as heavy as possible, somewhat similar to machete. As result you get powerful swing with lesser total mass of the weapon. You cant parry with it as with swords, its mostly offensive weapon where you just have to swing faster than enemy to win.
