That car you can buy Audi parts for and the Volkswagen parts for when you go to the Bentley dealer they will charge you up for the same part so do some research on that because I had a similar problem with mine but my mechanic knew that you can get Audi and Volkswagen parts for the suspension. Also get an alignment done at Audi. It’s around $400 Bentley always pretty much doubles the price of the same thing, I think it’s the Audi a eight and a Volkswagen phaeton that you can get parts off of. If you do your research you will find that and it will save you a lot of money. I guarantee it enjoy the car bro.
Bentleys from that Era also suffer from electrical issues and some of those parts aren't made anymore. A lot of the Continental GT's in that era suffer from turbo failure caused by secondary oil pump failing ever so slightly. Not enough to trigger a warning, but the turbos get starved of oil and then they gone. Ask the Car Wizard.
Most likely you mean the V8 Continentals, the W12 Continentals are reliable, the downside is the lack of room to work on them, require to much labor for anything simple.
I take mine to the dealer to get diagnosed properly which they charge 100s for and then order the parts myself and let my mechanic buddy put them on. It’s a expensive car but it’s still a CAR so most any mechanic can fix them long as they know WHAT they are fixing.
I’ve had a Bentayga, flying spur and the GT so far to maintain and repair for customers. They are such an awesome vehicle and feel very lucky to have my job to touch them every day
If you do a lot of it yourself, which is easier than some may think on a Bentley, they get far cheaper. I own and maintain an Aston 4.7 V8V and I likely make far less than you do, I'm just a one employee small business owner. But I do all my maintenance myself, so it's quite affordable. More expensive than a Honda Accord, still, no doubt. But far cheaper than overpaying someone else to do remedial tasks for you.
Car Wizard is awesome, but he really sent so many people off a plank on that. The trunk motor needs two gears and they cost $65 (plastic like oem) or $100 (aluminum).
Struts are super common to go out on those cars, the headliners start sagging all the time and the dash leather will shrink, so make sure to park in the shade!
I am a former multiple Bentley owner. They are what I refer to as "three year cars". Or, put another way, only worth having if you can run to buying a new one because after the warranty runs out you really are 'on your own' and sadly they are not generally reliable cars.
$2100 for tires? Where's the shop getting them from, Tiffany's? 😂 $1300 puts you in a fine set of touring tires. Upper control arm parts are $250-350, labor 2 hours max. Tire pressure issues is probably the TPMS module, cheap, easy fix. The Module is located right behind the rear seat, driver's side, but DON'T expect a new module to work, need to match the serial number from a used unit, otherwise the car will not talk to it without Bentley programming the module and even then, no guarantee. Great looking car, perhaps the finest modern GT on the planet, albeit, newer ones have shamed the earlier versions, though at astronomical prices of like $300K. Also, one should own their own oil company to afford the gas... 😊 Enjoy, big man!
you did the right thing by gettting a Bentley. you are a CEO and you deserve a classy car like that. Just space out the payments and try not to buy any more new cars anytime soon and all will be well! Keep crushing it, like you say!
My man, Burlacher the content is getting better and better, you seem a lot more comfortable these days. I've been a subscriber for a long time, damn near the beginning, and I'm loving your growth brother! Keep up the good work!
When you made the first video about possibly buying the Continental, I referred to a video stating that the Continental GT was rated as the worst car for dependability/maintenance
Front wishbone and strut tower are 30k miles parts. I drive mine spiretively on small roads, i change them every 2 oil change... consumables... on another level.
Im not sure how many people would be interested but I would love to see a sneaker tour, I love shoes as much as cars and I always love seeing what new shoes you cop
Burl. Here's the playbook. Specialty is account. This skills will be great plan and structure. Develop into channel. This can be folding two times. With a money sometimes turmoil. This burlacher can succeed! Try to show the RU-vid that burlacher channel goes strong and plays the excellent service. This will include a show the path of not lambo not any non-burlacher. Put a cargurus and lets plan! Choose the 3 vehicles for the increase viewer channel. Lets share the cars and prove you will stay with a traditional channel we all enjoy.
Had savini 22 on my bentley caued susp issues.put the original rims and tires. I wraped my bentley pearl satin white.avery wrap.i would do the same color would look nice with that red interior.
I've seen a lot of horror stories about buying a used Bentley. There was one where something was broken and the company that used to make that part (not Bentley) went out of business and then the newer models used a different company. So in the end he couldn't get the part new. I'd say just get a Lexus. Take care of it and drive it until the wheels fall off.
I have questions if you don’t mind: How did those rims get so mangled? What tires did they price you the second time? How much is the wrap? $2000? What would the vehicle be worth after you’ve completed all the repairs? How is $7000 a lot of money when you have a Hellcat? 🤣 The seats in that Bentley are probably $20,000 Anyhow thank you for sharing a glimpse into the world of luxury cars 👍🍻
wouldve been way more awesome to see you buy a brand new 2022 gt500 and instead of repairs you couldve put a whopping $10k into it and got a e85 tune exhaust supercharger pulley tires and ported supercharger and boom you have 1200hp and can run mid to.low 9s in the 1/4mile not to mention stock they get you around a track within a second or faster than cars like a Ferrari f8 tributo Lamborghini huracan evo and porsche gt3rs. So Supercar that costs mustang money to fix if need be. Hellcat redeye makes more hp but yet loses to stock gt500 and hellcat couldnt take a turn if your life depended on it. oh and couldve got one starting at 70k or carbon fiber track pack for 85-95k
Yeah... Bentley offers little to none content for his youtube channel and is a massive money sink. This purchase would make sense only if he was a carwizard who fixes cars himself
@@msway836 dealerships sell it or there are warranty companies you can purchase from as long as the sale is with in 30 days of the purchase of warranty.
I saw the title and was typing a Hoovies garage comment but the first sentence out of your mouth beat me to it. You don’t buy a Bentley anything unless you have unlimited funds or a Car Wizard!
I'm sensing either the Rose Acanthus wrap, or the closest to it which would probably be a matte Rose, or matte satin chrome pink. Tron AutoLab going to be hooking you up. But the wrap have to. match those shoes you showed us.
If you cannot not afford the up keep,do like other owners do, buy new or lease new! All under new car warranty and cost is less than buying an old Continental GT!😊
When people say “my oil change and alignment was 4800” they are lying. He casually threw in there it needed an “annual service” but god knows what that entailed. And from the condition of the car it was probably thrashed. These companies don’t really to single services because it doesn’t make sense for the intervals. So when you do your w12 oil change which isn’t so simple you also fo a handful of other things.
Bentley should insist on vetting all used owners and block the sale if exhaust mods or wrapping in garish colours are planned - have some taste and leave it as original.
Your the man that can afford that service bill, come on brother you got it, are make the Stradman pay for it. just blame it on him, just tell him his weight wore those bushings out on the passenger side, no that want work because he don't weigh over 100 pounds lol.. just keep on keeping on brother you'll get it....
I have owned several Bentleys over the years and all of them have kept my broke but when they are running right wow what a car. My current 2007 bentley flying spur has just been through the workshop and $22000 nzd later it is time to sell it so the next owner can have all the benefits of my repairs😅, I have just purchase a new toyota landcrusier best thing I have done so my wife tells me😮. Yet she will not part with her porsche boxster😊, All I can say is if you seriously want to own a Bentley you need a deep pocket.
Part of the issue is you’re going to the dealer. Of course everything is going to be expensive. You can get tires cheaper from tire rack, and I’m sure there are independent mechanics that can work on that car much cheaper.
You are correct. He’s also not being clear about the “Bentley annual service”. It’s different every time. So for his to be that high it’s not a minimum annual service. My Bentley is under warranty so I go to the dealer but my services are way less than this one cause it ain’t thrashed 🤣
Beautiful Bentley but the aftermarket wheels are so ugly. The silver color makes it look 10 years older than it already is. Get some more modern looking black wheels.
