James Lebrie takes crap at times from fans, but I have yet to hear any DT cover song vocalist be able to do a quarter as good as James. Anyone that is a serious vocalists can confirm the degree of difficulty that a lot of DT's arrangements are to sing. That said, your vocalist here does the best job of covering the vocals of a DT song that I have heard. He doesn't try to match James, but sings within his own range thus sounds really good. All around high marks.
People saying they could do it better should upload their cover for all of us to enjoy... Otherwise stfu!! Damn this cover is fantastic... You guys delivered a solid performance in every single instrument... I truly enjoyed the vocals, wish James could sing like that live...
Ok, in total honesty I was speechless from about 90 seconds in and stayed that way. I'm still in awe at how fantastic this cover is. Bass, drums, guitar, vocals, keys, all of you were in that one, I mean that as I'm you guys were dialed in perfectly. Everyone did an outstanding job, but I have to mention the drummer specifically. I can not imagine the degree of skill it requires to pull those time changes and odd signatures off like Portnoy did. That is beyond impressive. Thank you all for this. It was spot on.
As a guitarist, drums is a secondary instrument I've taken up only recently. It's songs such as this one, that inspire me to get behind a set. This video will be a great tutorial. My opinion: Any drummer should be proud having skills to even attempt a song like this one.
With all the chaos in the world right now, it’s nice seeing the things people can do even while split apart. I come back to this cover frequently because it’s done so well, keep it up!
I THINK THERE GOOD ENOUGH TO START RIGHTING THERE OWN ORIGINAL MATERIAL . ONE STEP ABOVE DOING WHAT HAS ALREADY BEEN DONE . THE TALENT AND NO HOW IS THERE .
My newest favorite DT cover on youtube! thanks for this experience guys. you're all incredible. perfection indeed. I'm a hardcore dream theater fanboy and i was satisfied. =D
I listened to the original version and then immediately wanted to listen to it again but my mind said "IT'S TWENTY MINUTES - YOU HAVE WORK SOON"...then I saw this cover and listened to it...WOW, GREAT JOB fellas!! Win-win for me lol (amazing song, amazing and loyal cover)
That was fucking AWESOME! What a huge undertaking to an epic like The Count of Tuscany! Thats definitely in my top 5 DT songs of all time and you guys nailed it! Congrats on a fantastic accomplishment!
About 11 years too late, but just wanted to say great cover, and loved how much you got in to the backup vocals, you really envelop that portnoy spirit haha
Guitar tone is spot on. The keyboard is also really good. The bass playing is consistent and solid, amazing. The drums sound good, could be a bit louder in the mix, he's got a couple of mistakes here and there (off-timing) but no big deal. The singer's hitting all the good notes as well. All in all, great cover guys. Good job. Thanks for uploading.
One of the most inspiring things I've ever seen on RU-vid. Simply incredible. Bravo to each of you as your playing and singing were spot on. DT would be so proud!!! Keep it up!!!
AMAZING! This cover was dead on. And to fabrio mangano, u r amazing! I wish I could play like that. That was really awesome and I wish you guys the best...
