I`ve just gone back to the Country Diary today 40 years after it first inspired me. I`m painting up a foxglove design for one of my fabric collections based on my childhood river that I grew up by. I Just wanted to see how Edith captured the dotty centres of the flowers. I was completely unaware until this year that a second Country Diary was also found: "Nature Notes". What became of Rowena Stott`s own painting career, does anyone know? Thanks.
