As the stereotypical "funny man" in the friend group I can say being beheaded then resurrected by what seems to be a demon is normal

King: kills jester. Jester: *HELLO THERE!* King: **sweating intensely**

So what I did understand :the jester was a poor kid ,or a slave; then he got saved by the female knight ,( who he fell in love with; maybe) . 3:20 You see the memory of her giving him the mask , maybe she insisted on him becoming the jester, then she clearly tells him to always smile . At first the jester seems happy entertaining people; but then comes the female knight's execution (2:10 ) and he goes insane (2:37). After he proceds going to kill the king, but fails, resulting in his death, with a guillotine and his head getting chopped off . The people look shocked (3:55) because they seen him as a good person. Then he, presumably makes a deal with a demon and revives, starting a rebbellion and killing the king (with magic !? cause he doesn't touch the king directly but he starts spitting blood and then colapses on the floor ) . Personally I thought that the last phrase "Let me the fool, let me, the jester, a new saga now compose" meant start a new era. Only one thing the book? That the king holds at 4:22 - 4:23 4:57 he holds it even in the moments of his death.; 5:02 the book has an eye on it , is it the illuminati ? or some sort of book of onniscience. The jester says at 4:53 " All the power in the world could never save you now" is he reffering to the book? Does it hold magical power? 5:10 - 5:15 Upon further rewatch, Is the jester giving that book to the demon?

fun fact: curt jester were actually insanely cunning and inteliggence the professional jesters that is, there were also te natural jester, which were mainly the dwarfs and people with disfunctions the professional jester were insanely inteligent cause they always needed to learn new things to assure its job, and the court jesters sometimes were even given land by majesty himself it was also a incredible job o make connections.

So, let me get this straight: jester is actually a village boy who had a love interest as a female knight, which, she is actually a person who plans a rebellion against the king. Still, unfortunately, her plan failed as, for some reason, the King discovered her rebelling plot, which resulted in her assassination, of course, this can be explained when we see a newspaper that said Female Knight's death, but the article didn't seem to mention anything about her committing a crime or framed by the king, only said her death, means that either she was betrayed in a quest, or was assassinated by someone who is sent by the king, which of course, the King, since he's above the law, eventually covered up this story by saying that she died in other ways. The boy, upon hearing this, eventually continued the legacy that his lover has left behind. Still, this time, other than rebelling against the king, he plans to assassinate the King himself, which would lead to him also failing and dying. However, his death eventually made the villagers see that the King is a hypocritical tyranny, and they wage a riot and burn his castle. He finds out this riot was all because of the boy, who made a deal with the devil to kill the King and return a spellbook to them, which the deal he made was to desire to reincarnate and meet the love of his in the next life.

I like the idea that the part of jester's deal with the demon was so everytime king dies after resurrection he will just be ressurect again so the jester can torture and kill him over and over again and this time he has no army to protect himself or a Castel to hide in. (Btw it's just how I imagine the story progressing )

Something I find interesting is the the jester gets tiny demon horns when he comes back. As well as that, he has a long fringe at the very end when he is with the others which makes me wonder if his eyes look somewhat demonic

Should make this a dnd character, fucking great character idea, great backstory, great revenge plot

So basically, CJ court jester, who aperes to have very little memories, works as an informant trying to overthrow an evil king. Along the way he meets a female knight who he loves. She was reportedly killed on a mission (potentially on the kings orders), this causes CJ to go insane and try to murder the shit out of the king but he is captured and publicly executed. Seeing the king execute someone who was both a beloved figure head and a child the towns people start a revolt. Although he is finally reunited with the love of his life he makes a contract with a demon to overthrow the kingdom, and in exchange he returns an evil magical book that the king used or he became a servant of the dark lord forever and always. Did i get that right?

2:10 I can’t help but laugh at that, ‘Female Knight’, I don’t know her, hell I didn’t even ask her name, her name could be Slotto Von Jizzmark, I just killed her because I had to fill out my execution quota of the month. Hope that doesn’t turn out badly with some Dark Lord and some Jester, like that schmuck over there.

Fun fact professional jesters (ones who werent simply disabled or mentally challenged like some of them were) were actually pretty powerful in politics, rhey were openly allowed to mock anyone or anything including the king, and were often also a voice of reason because of such, they could point out any problems or dumb decisions with zero reason to hold back about the stupidity of them, and could paint anything in a bad light with no consequences, they also were often the okes to give bad news to the king because of this immunity, and they often would give advice to the king aswell, they also played a part in antagonizing and enraging enemies toakw them act out and make poor decisions. Theres even a case where a jester was going to be executed but the jester made a joke so good the king instead only exiled him.

I like that when the jester returns from the dead his face and the mask have merged, a nice touch along with the little horns.

I love that instead of killing the king himself, he saw the cracks in his rule and sparked a revolution that would take him down. A revenge from the grave. As I was watching and it kept referencing how people’s times were coming to a close, I imagined that he had the ability to see people’s lifespans and took upon himself to kill anyone whose time ran out and protect anyone who still had time left.

All I can think is that your OC is a fiend or undying warlock with an entertainer background.

Dunno why, but the idea of the "funny smiling-man" losing his grip on reality and killing people is a theme I can really coenside with...

Fun fact jesters were actually really important to a kingdoms for they gave opinions of the country without being executed and they held military secrets and kingdom secrets and personal information of the king and they were also used to send military messages to the king because most people wouldn't want to kill a "useless jester" that was a very common idea.

I've had this in my recommended for a very long time, abd I never watched it because I'm usually not that interested in OCs, but I finally decided to try it and I am glad I did. This is some top notch storytelling

I get so many ideas from songs like these! It's already coming to me; A Jester-like entity that is a messenger of the devil? He's sent to tell the king he's dying soon, but goes rogue and ends up taking the kingdom over. It'd sort of make sense because Jesters were tasked with delivering bad news to the king and jesters are just kickass villains.

I love how his face depicts his mask after the beheading, pretty much showing how he was revived by the demon king as the very thing he depicted. In a world of cruelty and cold calculation, a world where he took the role of a jester to undermine the evil kings plans, the female knight showed him, that his role as a jester fits him well, she reminded him how to smile and what it means to be a jester. It probably helped him realizing that this role was meant for him, not just to undermine the evil king but also to enjoy his life, entertain people around him and inspire them. He embreaced to be a jester and in the end, the demon king revived him as such: a demonic jester.

Why the f is this so underrated this deserves views and likes in the millions

I don’t know why, but I have always loved the dark ages. Puppets, kings, knights, and jesters. I actually got into it because of deltarune, but then I learned more about cards and such. It’s really cool how things from so long ago have made it into “the golden age”

This is one of my favorite songs, I've been listening to various versions of the songs accompanied by arts and animations. This is one of the more compelling art and animation with a seemingly fleshed out interpretation of the song. It was great, props to everyone that was involved in this project, especially to the ones that brought the song to fruition.

This is legendary, no doubt about that. I have seen many animatics and this is by far my favorite.

I like how it makes you ask this, Is the jester good an anti hero or evil the animation is so good since you can't tell if he is a mentally broken man, a greedy person after the throne or fighting against a tyrant and his group of cruel nobles. I also like how if it's the last one at the execution scene you could think it's the reading before the decapitation and his promise to get into better health or the jesters claim that the king is corrupt and he will return or maybe even both.

Every part of this is immaculately done, I love it! Amazing work!

Alright so let me see if I got this right. Jester was originally some kind of peasant, possibly even a slave, that was rescued by a female knight (FK). Jester grows attached to FK and is afraid to leave her side, but she encourages him to go out, reminding him how to smile. This may have influenced Jester’s chosen career path, becoming the king’s jester. He reunited with FK, who gives him his signature mask, and possibly also falling in love with him. Jester becomes a beloved part of the community, as he turns out to be a damn good jester, endearing himself to those around him. This is all turned on its head, however, when the king has the FK killed, possibly because she was involved with a growing resistance against him. Jester, seeing that the one person he actually loved was now dead, goes off the deep end, plotting to murder the king and spreading state secrets. His attempt on the king’s life fails and results in Jester’s beheading, but the damage is already done. Given his expression prior to execution, it’s likely Jester had already made his pact with the demon to ensure the king is brought down, promising to return the tome the king apparently has to its demonic owner. Seeing such a beloved member of the community killed before them is the last straw, and catalyzes the rebellion of the citizens. The king sends all his guards out to control the frenzied populace, leaving himself defenseless for the revived Jester. His face now bears the markings of his signature mask, and small horns are growing from his forehead. Jester at last takes his revenges, and returns the tome to his demonic patron. As part of this deal, he and FK are reincarnated into the modern day, where they can reunite without the tyrannical king looming over them. Based on other videos, it’s possible the demon incarnated themself as well, serving as a companion to Jester and learning to let go of their rage, I think. How’d I do? EDIT: Scrubbing through the other vids, I think I’ve got the whole story, it seems the demon also had a rivalry with a different, blue-haired knight who ALSO reincarnated. The demon seems to be at least partially amnesiac, failing to recognize their ancient rival or the reason why he wants to make them into an orange pincushion, while he seems to remember everything. It’s unclear whether the reincarnation was intentional on the demon’s part or due to some influence from an ancient witch named Ellen based on other videos.
