BELIEVE THIS MAN. I didn’t hear this information on time, and I have lost my children. The church claimed they would help and support me at first, but they do not. These men fool almost EVERYONE. Liars, hypocrites, and worse. God will judge.
He went to the front of the church bawling and squalling at the top of his lungs, making sure everyone heard how scared he was, because I would die and go to hell. All because I finally got away from him. He loved drama as long as everyone felt sorry for him. He loves playing the victim. He sure didn't tell anyone the years of hell I lived in because of him. The sight, and sound of him makes me want to vomit.
I’m here right now. Absolute torture, every second feels like a lifetime. I went through a period of time where his smell made me nauseous. I now know that was my body’s defense to his abuse.
This is my wife to a T The church pastors and leaders have made a hero out of her. They have never believed me what she is like in private. My therapist says she is a narcissist. My psychiatric nurse says she is a narcissist and I need to protect myself from her because she is dangerous. But around her church friends She is the sweetest woman you would ever want to meet.
I bought Enough is Enough for my son. He didnt read it all I think but he read Enough😜 And although I believe he could have prepared better had he finished it, the point is he got out. He got back yo going to church, he has 50% custody (I believe it could have been more) and is much more relaxed and is acting much more like the man he was before all the abuse started.

Which is good but can put you right in the tough spot your’re in! Enough is enough does go through some scriptural basis for the case for divorcing a faithless spouse. The key is Matthew 18. “If a brother sins against you…”. Any church that is not willing to go through your conflict with you and follow the steps of bringing witnesses, then bringing in the elders to try to bring the sinning partner into the light and then finally barring that partner from God’s table (eucharist/communion/Lord’s supper) for their unrepentance, then that is not a church. That is nothing more than an unholy social club. Completely powerless to do God’s business as instructed in His Word! My best advice is for you to get educated up!! Read Enough is Enough. Read Slay The Bully by Rebecca Zung. Watch the videos. I recommend Dr Clark, Zung, certain videos of HG Tudor were really good gor getting a thorough grip on the traits of the narcissist. I also listened to lots of Richard Grannon. I became fluent in Narc! So when my dear boy cane home after a beat down from her and described her actions and words I could dissect the behaviour for him. He was very receptive though. I had the great fortune that early on in the discard phase of her abuse, she gaslit him yo think he needed to talk to a therapist and her very own therapist told my son in a private session without her “you are not damaged or crazy. She is abusing you”. That was a huge turning point for him. Please please pray to the Lord!! 1Sam 24:12 is your constant prayer: May the LORD judge between you and me. And may the LORD avenge the wrongs you have done to me, but my hand will not touch you. That was David’s prayer regarding his oppressor Saul. Have faith get wise persevere. And after a beat down from her is your only real window of opportunity with him. That is when he is receptive to the scriptures and to the teachings of counsellors and to offers of help. Please persevere!!! You are the mom. You live that young man in a way *only you* can do.
It's as though you know him. Unbelievable. He has a whole church community and pastor see me as an evil woman. How could they not? His "light" is so bright, they only see me in a dark shadow. This kind of wolf in sheep's clothing is unreal.. You're spot on...AGAIN!
I finally left my covert narcissist wife with my 19 year old son after 33 years. Even from a distance she has made our lives nothing short of a living hell. I have endured financial abuse, character assassination, stonewalling on major issues etc. In my early 60’s it has been 2 years of pure evil as a result of the narcissistic injury my wife suffered when my son and I left. No one believes that a Pretty Christian Piano Teacher would be capable of such destructive and malevolent behaviour. As a man no one believes me and only my son and almighty God know the truth.
THANK YOU FOR ADDRESSING THIS. this is what makes me skeptical of overly religious people. my aunt has been married to a guy like this for years, she's a mess and their kid is a mess too, and he recently decided to try to sexually groom me for years, i prayed for him and gave him the benefit of the doubt but finally realized i'd had enough and he wasn't going to change as long as he had the false "Godly" self to project. and then "we're all sinners" to fall back on. this is a big part of systematic abuse in religious communities. certainly not just Christianity. I would love for you to address more of this because I suspect it's the underpinning of a huge chunk of abuse, especially abuse in "Christian" homes. For me the doctrine of vicarious atonement enables these abusers even more, not to mention the biblical cherrypicking you mentioned. they'll quote and twist every one of Paul's verses on submitting to your husband but forget the one about treating your wife like Christ treats the Church. Praying for anyone going thru this. my aunt has chronic health conditions because of her narc. they will destroy you, and get in the way of you truly serving God
Exactly. My 2nd Narc was a cop, and he LEFT my church (they didn't worship the ground he walked on) and went to a Milk-toast church that made him OVER their Security.
Yes, so true every word. Because he was Christian and a pastor I fought for my marriage all it did was that it drove me nuts. I spent a week in the mental ward. At the end he abandoned me married with in months somebody 17 years younger and started a church. Narc really don't care it is all about them. People that act like that can know God.
When together I tried to encourage him to have relationships with good men in the church but he refused. Every Sunday when we did go to church he would come home and be so so angry. I wanted to stop going to church because of his rage afterwards. Now 3 years separated and he's all those men's best friends and has not missed a service
Yep. 100 percent true! My narc used to argue with me about what the Bible says about sin and then if we went somewhere, he would quote me like it was his idea. One time he repeated to new friends what I had said and pretended he was so spiritual. They said he should be a pastor 😂 His real opinion of sin was a sloppy once saved always saved so I can do whatever I want attitude.
My husband directs most of his negative , hateful, punitive behavior towards my 13 yo GS and treats my 9 yo GD like a princess. He wants to go to church, but can't extend any kind of empathy or compassion or mercy or grace to either of my GSs. We raised them....I couldn't stand by one more day and watch him emotionally abuse my GS.
That Lord, Lord scripture is about people depending on their works for salvation. What is the will of the Father? To believe on the Son. “But Lord, we did so many wonderful WORKS in your name”. They are depending upon their works to “earn” salvation. That’s why God didn’t know them. They never depended on Jesus alone for salvation. 😊
