The year was 1969. As a newly minted 18 year old U.S. Marine walking down a dusty road weighted down with assault rifle and much ammunition I was recalling this song by The Cowsills I had heard that morning on the radio in my hooch. Made me want to be back home with my girlfriend. I came home, the grilfriend was gone but The Cowsills have remained in my heart to this day.
Just finished watching the documentary "Family Band: The Cowsills Story", you would of never of guessed how screwed up the father was! So sad how it affected all of them and the music they made.
