The joy on their faces, despite all they've been through and all the years of singing these same songs is part of the reason I still love the Cowsills!
i come back to these songs wherever they are on yt, many times...born in '57 some of those first 9v am transistor radio moments.....btw those 2001 cowsills rhode island concert pieces are terrific too
As a kid, I knew about The Cowsills. I lived "down the road" from them in Fall River, MA. I never knew the amazing repertoire of songs and talent they had and that they were the inspiration for "The Partridge Family." Yes, I've been living under a rock. Now in 2024, I'm finally listening. Thanks guys and bless you all.
100 million times, never get tired of this song. Such an immensely talented group. So under appreciated. They are magical on stage and sweet and humble off as well. A treasure.
I have to say, one of the most amazing nights of my life was the night I saw The Cowsills live during the HTT and afterwards, was blessed with meeting them and getting a photo with them and just getting to talk to them. IT WAS AN INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!
3rd July, 2022. By God A'mighty!. From way back when, 'till now, their voices, their performances, their songs, are beyond incredible!. Truly, very few Bands, (the Beatles), and significally, very few Family groups were as successful as the Cowsills.
Not to many vocal/harmony groups left. Saw them in St.Charles Mo. in 17. Music at it's finest! Got hugs and handshakes after the show. They are so humble and nice. See them why you can. Nothing lasts forever!
Wow, what an experience for you. Loved this song as a youngster and they still sound so good. Great to hear that they have kept their humility and friendliness.
Amazing how they hardly sound different from 1/2 Century before! I was 13 when I heard them in 1967 - and was completely in love with The Flower Girl Song.
GOSH.... I loved these in the intricately produced studio versions, but the drummer and keyboard players REALLY rocked on this, and the complex vocals were true to the original!!! Brilliant!!! (an Englishman who wishes he'd lived in California in the 60s and 70s...)
Here we are in 2020 (I know this is from 2017), they still sound WONDERFUL as they did in the late 60's!!!! TOTALLY AWESOME, I LOVE THE COWSILLS. I have loved them since I was a boy!!! BTW Susan is SUCH a cutie pie!!!!
Thank you for posting this great video. I loved them since the 60's and finally got to see them a few months ago at The Arcada Theatre in St. Charles, Illinois. The show was the best plus meeting them afterwards was wonderful.....they couldn't have been nicer if they had tried! Only hope to see them again soon!
Can't wait till this virus crap is over!!! Would love to catch these wonderful people in concert somewhere! They are just as amazing as always! Still love Susan!!!! Still beautiful!!!!
I always loved "The Rain The Park" and unlike alot of nostalgia bands they sound really good here. They also come off as highly youthful. Im guessing they broke up in the 70s and at some point decided that playing music was alot better than working regular jobs. They probably make a decent living doing these state fairs as people still remember their music. My understanding is both parents have passed as well as one or two of their siblings.
The guy in the middle w. the baseball cap & tie is acting like a horses' ass. He's NOT funny, but pathetic. Was he the one who was molested by the father because he's acting way too light in the loafers!?
