Is the RF stage un-tuned? Were the EF91's all you had for RF & detector? Just curious as to your choice & wondering if a different type would give regen that was easier to control. I normally use Octal-based valves, so a pair of EF39 instead. Unless there are other reasons for the choice. believe it or not an EF91 will actually give audio too, if you don't need massive volume. Depends on what sort of gain is needed
