I think Paco is inspired by a lot of eastern and world music, a lot of drone and dissonance makes this audibly different in juxtaposition to typical western pop music/production, but that what makes it so interesting and expressive. May sound outta tune if you never really listen to this sorta stuff before, but keep with it - probably go down as a bit of a grower :) - definitely check out the album 'bag of holding, it has some storytelling folk songs with some very good polished production without the record sounding squeaky clean. Paco is truly a gifted songwriter/producer. (Think he was in a band called big neck police too, could be wrong - that was a lot more disjointed and noisy. I personally love it!)
