What's Inside a Girl? by The Cramps Live in Amsterdam 1990 Sexy guitar player Poison Ivy with Lux Interior singing also, Candy Del Mar on bass and Nick Knox on drums
Lux was only 62 when he passed. Poison Ivy is now 66. I never thought they got the recognition they deserved. If it wasn't for RU-vid I would never have known they existed.
Right, I wish they were more known. I would’ve discovered them soon. The first time I heard them was in Lady Gaga’s video on Instagram, she had human fly playing in the background. Loved it immediately
Aah, the psychotic singing of Lux, the impassible-Princess guitarring of Ivy, the morgue of Candy and overall the psycho-robotic drumming of Nick... Was there ever a rock'n'roll band else than the Cramps ?
I love how at the end of the song Lux drops the mic and then just stares at Ivy and starts walking over to her like "that's some of the best rockabilly guitar playing I've ever heard honey" which in fact it was. Lux & Ivy's love and love of music will live forever!
I saw the Cramps every single time they played Toronto. Now, I didn't always remember the show, but I knew I went because of the bruises and the hangovers I would wake up with. Sure do miss them...
Raw rock an roll. My m8 tried to get me into them years ago.... I was a mod at the time...30years later , listened to them, sounds amazing, got to be played at maximum volume. Wow, 🏴✨🙉🌈👍
I saw these awesome people at THE GALAXY auckland 1986 live album of that gig is awesome i had a cramps OFF THE BONE poster on the wall above my hospital bed in the orthopedic ward broken femur.. hip.. pelvis .. shoulder when I was 17 doctors and nurses thought I was a freak
To me and this is just my opinion when I hear the cramps I feel like its what true rock and roll should sound like. Makes me wish I never sold my 76 oldsmobile so I could blast the cramps while cruising with my lady parking at the river getting drunk and screwing in the backseat.
The Roy Orbison comment was obviously a joke , because Nick started to look like a younger Roy Orbison ( He'd suffered a rare eye infection , and had to wear shades most of the time , after that. And , of course , was seldom seen not wearing black. ). Bill Bateman , from The Blasters , did'nt join the band 'til about 15 years after this performance.....which is great , by the way.
@somervillen She's also the most sorrily overlooked one too! For example, you know those stupid 'Top Women In Rock lists which crop up from time to time ( in magazines or on VH1 television programs and the like )? .. well Poison hasn't been included on any of them that I've seen! .. and what a dissgrace that is!! I'd like to see fucking Joan Jett or Chrissy Hynde even attempt to play a song like THIS one, or Call Of The Wighat or TV Set or any other cramps classic!
Candy deal mar. Woooo. She turned into a babe only talked to her. A couple of times as Kidd. Both our favorite bands was the cramps. She got in the group I only seen the gig.
@@elizabethhann4028 Saw them twice in Glasgow back in the late 80's and early 90's. Fucking great live act. There will never be another band like them...RIP Lux.
