This song is immortal, her voice is soul hunting. Now we have have thousands of children dying in wars and this song could not be more appropriate in 2024 . Love her ❤️
Yes , we have so many dying today that never died in wars over the thousands of years the earth has existed. People just started dying recently its so tragic! I wish we had the knowledge we do today 2 thousand years ago so they never crucified Christ. It would be peace on Earth today if that hadn't happend..
VERY TRUE! (The Cranberries - Zombie (Official Music Video) 14 years ago 1.491.932.004 views.) It gives all the feelings (desperation, anger, grief, helplessness, hopelessness)
@@joestrummer32 everything will hit harder after you'll know that the song was written in response to and in memory of two young victims of a bombing that occurred during the Troubles in Northern Ireland, Johnathan Ball, aged 3, and Tim Parry, aged 12, both of whom had been killed in the 1993 Warrington bombings, when two IRA improvised explosive devices hidden in litter bins were detonated in a shopping street in Warrington, England. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zombie_(The_Cranberries_song)#:~:text=The%20song%20was%20written%20in,shopping%20street%20in%20Warrington%2C%20England.
I drive my family nuts because I either have never heard some songs,or at least don't remember hearing them! Age will do that! Anyway, I heard this a few days ago somewhere so looked it up. AWESOME message in this and still relevant today! I hope we can get past this division among Americans. Too many just going along for the ride, without realizing you can't necessarily trust the one driving! We don't need a civil war here, nor an economic collapse, nor censorship/book bans. We just need to see each other as "our countrymen" again, treat one another with basic respect, abide by our laws and WORK to change the things we don't agree with. Ireland's war ended eventually and thank God! I remember seeing those violent attacks on TV, routinely. It was heartbreaking!
Korean Zombie. We love you and Thank you Singapore crowd for giving such legendary send off to one of the most loved fighters out there. Bro went out on his shield like a warrior 🤍🫂
It makes me sad everyday her beautiful voice isn’t on this earth anymore. Their songs are so emotional and I will never love a band more than the cranberries. RIP Dolores!!
a message in language from the soul about pain caused by war. "But you see, it's not me, it's not my family". Hope every human being on earth have the privilege to feel what Dolores put in this song.
True NATO needs to be stoped they will cause another WW, they are free to invade and plunder but when another country stands up to them they are villinized.
I just recently heard this song on the radio. I liked the melody but paid little attention to the lyrics other than the word "Zombie", that of which was kind of a turn-off. However, I wanted to hear it again and looked it up on RU-vid, giving myself the opportunity to, not just hear the lyrics but to listen to the message. I regret not giving this band more credit while this beautiful person was still alive, because I would have taken the time to attend a concert when in Los Angeles. I would have made every effort to get an opportunity to sit with her and listen to her talk about her experience(s), and her perspective on the current status and view of the world at that particular time and place. I think this video captures an emotional look into the everlasting left-over, pieces of war but as well, the toll it takes not just on the environment but also the generations that are to follow, that will learn and continue to carry throughout history the knowledge of mankind and his quest for power and the reason there will never be a world of true happiness free from the destruction created from the curiosity of man. What, WTF does that mean? .
@@appleunicorn2927 Oh they are not connected at all, just korean zomie's main theme song was the zombie from the cranberries ! and as far as I know, Korean zomie did not pick the song, their fans in the states did.
Heard this a few times on the radio before I was at a mates house - and it was his mam and dad that were playing it. I instantly knew this was one for everyone of all ages. Absolute classic. Timeless quality.
Tears only.. over and over again...! We love you Dolores. She was , short in life , but HUGE in INFLUENCE...! Our Worlds Music Compendium would be oh so poorer without HER...!
Rest in peace Johnathan Ball, and Tim Parry. More than just music, this is a song that carries the weights of lives lost to war. Victims of crossfire and violence.
When I heard this song the first time I was in an Irish pub in Florence, I didn’t see it coming. I knew not who were the Cranberries. They were close to nobody in my country. Dolores was among the first singers using the falsetto in the way she did, to hit right inside your soul. The painful suffering of families destroyed and young people trying to save their own lives was all there, in their songs, in her voice. So I was drinking my Guinness both excited for this amazing sound and with my heart crumbling, my eyes becoming more watery by the second. It has been a powerful emotion that I still feel when I hear this song. We have been lucky to have Dolores among us
@@cheddarcheeseisgood8030 Indeed. I feel a bittersweet nostalgia for the time I first listened to this song, yet knowing the context and subject matter of it, that becomes hard to reconcile.
With what's happening in Israel/Hamas Palestine today, this song is so appropriate. Our collective souls are weeping, but feel so helpless. Thank you Cranberries for this timeless piece of truth.
Here's one for you instead of all the men leaving for the uk why don't they men stay and let the women and children come to the UK and the men stay and fight instead of all running away and moaning about it on comment sections
This song was made during the 90s war in the Balkans. As someone who's from those parts, I can tell you with confidence that a lot of my peers used to listen back in 06/07 but even nowadays. Good song with a deep message, always hits home..
@@appleunicorn2927The Korean Zombie is a retired UFC fighter who would always walk out to this song before a fight and is now considered a legend in the sport 🇰🇷
Chan sung jung walking out to this song and thrn retiring as the entire stadium sung along was one of the most wholesome sports moments ive ever seen. No other sports moment has ever come so close to bringing me to tears.
The Cranberries is my favorite band. I will always carry them in my heart until my last day on earth, because their songs are so beautiful and passionate that they make me feel good the moment we listen to them. The Cranberries to infinity and beyond.
Vá em paz dolores louise vanders e queo amor nunca nos negue isso extremo desrespeito respeito a quem passou dessa vida para posteroridade pesmes do povo brasileiro...🇧🇷
There’s nothing complex or crafty about this song. But Delores’s vocals and the lyrics are piercing and enchanting! This is music that touches the heart.
Great song in a wonderful voice. Dolores wrote a wonderful song that reflects the total suffering of all the people during war. A really well done video. Congrats TheCranberriesTV
Another head hangs lowly Child is slowly taken And the violence caused such silence Who are we mistaken? But you see, it's not me It's not my family In your head, in your head, they are fighting With their tanks and their bombs And their bombs and their guns In your head, in your head, they are crying In your head, in your head Zombie, zombie, zombie-ie-ie What's in your head, in your head? For the longest time i didn't know this song was about the Violence Northern Ireland faced in the late 20th century. Thank you Cranberries and especially you Dolores for helping bring the world's attention to what the peoples of these islands were facing between 1960 and 2000.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BxrLVldZtmg.htmlsi=OU4fp4Zqc0fplreq Always was captivated by this song.... Even though I usually play Irish traditional music and ballads and quiet sweet folk songs that are antiwar and other things But the power in this song is just undeniable and unforgettable powerful song bringing the world's attention to the atrocities of war in Northern Ireland and, let's face it, everywhere... All the more powerful when you can see and understand the words And one of the two guys I mentioned are just metal has covered it in a spooky way
As long as I live, I will carry that torch, I never truly experienced the full range of suffering, but I’ve had a good taste - and from that I’ve formed my will and courage. Thank you for this masterpiece. Never to be forgotten.
Walk out AND Walk off.... He came out in the 3rd and said Eff it I'm going out on my sword. INSANE. Between Max and Maui plus Zombie leaving. Great Main.
Calling themselves The Craneberries, make you think, nice folk songs. And then you got this thrown right in the gut, a song perfectly delivered, written and performed, to last a long time. Zombie"s they love us to be, no complaining, just do as you are told, but this song wakes us up again, so dramatic and insisting, simple but massive.
Доролес с Cranberries сделала для мира этой песней больше, чем сотни политиков вместе взятых. Это намного больше, чем просто музыка. Очень и очень жаль, что ее больше нет, и время не лечит. Но Долорес навсегда в моем сердце. 💔💔💔
