Personally I'd consider most games between the first three games and N.Sane Trilogy as canon. Wrath of Cortext and Twinsanity would count, along with the GBA duology (Huge Adventure + N.Tranced), and maybe some of the racing games. The only ones that might not fit is the Titans/Mutants as they have different designs. Crash 4 saying they've only fought Cortex three times could be interpreted as Crash 4 taking place before Wrath of Cortex.
- I don't think that's actually Gone A Bit Coco music in the credits? - There might be doubt with the "CTR 2010 was reworked into DreamWorks Super Star Kartz" thing, too. - Paul Yan said at GDC 2021 that the post-Naughty Dog games come after Crash 4 in its timeline. - Never heard of a cut GBA Twinsanity port before, don't know what the origin of that is. - At the very least, the Crash Landing level in Crash 4 is a confirmed reference to the scrapped game of the same game (which is funnily referenced right after). Also saw B-Mask suggest the future city above the clouds levels are like a cut Evolution/Twinsanity idea I'm guessing? - Not sure that Crash 4 concept art was anything more than a test run or starting point in the concepts. - Can't make out what I'm supposed to look at in the GoldenEye cameo image quality-wise.
That is definitely Gone a Bit Coco's music but at one point the music was going to be used in Boiler Room Doom. I didn't know that but I still believe the story because the timeline matches up and they were both developed by High Impact Games, why would they not just recycle the engine and assets they already had? I realised that after I originally made the video but I never knew it was officially confirmed, still I hope they do end up just retconning those games and adapting elements from them into much better games. The creator of the iceberg probably made it up. I forgot, I haven't played Crash 4 since 2021. Either way, it looks better. Yeah I don't see it either tbh.
