Kevin and his family are the most wonderful people. I'm in no way a snowboarding fan, but this film is just an incredible story on a human level. Watched it four times and it destroys me every time.
My mom just suffered a TBI, I'm really enjoying absorbing this story. I was a fan of him as an athlete and I can't wait to share this with my mom to help motivate and inspire her. Thanks Kevin
This documentary encouraged me and made me feel I am not alone. I suffered the almost exact injuries as kevein and went though years of therapy after paralyss and relearning my balance. I still have depression and terrible anxiety tht I will never be the athlete I was, but Keven's story gives me hope..he is doing so well..this documentary was criminally underated.
HOW was The Crash Reel NOT selected for final nominations for the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature? This was such an incredible documentary! I'm only hoping for the best for Kevin in the future!
I just watched this film on HBO last night and I was thinking the exact same thing. Amazing film. I can't get Kevin and his wonderful family out of my head.
I watched the movie this morning ...listened to all the songs on the soundtrack and now I'm here. He can and will do great things! Thanks for sharing his story Lucy.
I got TBI in 2009, I recognize so many of the symptoms your treating and simply wish I had the resources to treat my TBI in the same way. KP you’re an inspiration to me. Keep on healing!
It's an amazing documentary. I'm an elite wheelchair racer, so I'm used to seeing a lot of guys like this after they get hurt. But this documentary was something special.
The Crash Reel was one of the best insights into what possibly lays in wait for these action sports participants. Action sports and MMA are two sports that the athletes should demand health insurance for. Especially from companies like the UFC, X-Games, Dew Tour and so on. They make millions and so do some of these athletes but most of their money comes from sponsors. Help when help is most needed. Great doc and Kevin Pearce has a great family. Soooo Good all round.
I think Kevin is touched by God and his whole family! I find them all so inspirational and strong to go through such a traumatic time and come out on the other side still intact and there for each other! Keep on keeping on and stick together God bless you all!
KP is such a legend and anyone who hit the slopes from 2005/09 loved his take on the sport. I can't help but feel Lucy twisted some facts during the film and overly took control though when she should have let go little.
Great that the exploitation of these brave athletic kids has this spot light upon it. It amazes me that their love for the sport propels them to risk thier lives, but there needs to be some social safety net for the fallen... This film may cause some to think about the the issues around events like the X games. Plus shouldn't there be accountability for the oraganizations and people that the produce events that cash in on selling the performances of extreme athletes?
This guy was my favoritt snowboarder because I COULD NOT STAND Shaun white, kevin is chill, humble and cool, everything shaun white IS NOT ... the story about shaun white in the documentary about kevins crash really proves that(when shaun looses to kevin and goes to his room drunk and breaks his computer
