Even though the Lions didn't end up winning, It still shows that no matter how bad it might look for a team, the game isn't over until the clock strikes 00:00
I'm watching this and thinking wow the refs are horrible...... Then I hear the comment that they're replacement refs. I completely forgot about that happening
Damn. Titus Young. There was a time there when Stafford, Young, Johnson, and Best looked like they were going to dominate the league for a while. Best never fully got over that concussion from college and Young went insane. At least Stafford and Johnson had success.
This was during a period of upheaval for the NFL. They had the players lockout in the 2011 offseason and then the referee lockout that lasted until Week 4 of 2012. There were also several big rule changes dealing with player safety that angered many fans and players.
It is sad to remember that Jake Locker retired because he gave up on the sport he loved. Might have been due to his injuries and/or playing for the Titans.
Detroit Lions Was Member NFC Central Division From 1970 To 1993 And Houston Oilers Was Member AFC Central Division From 1970 To 1993 Thanks For Uploading
Yep, that would be my pitiful, pre-Campbell Lions... Blow a comeback like that... Man, I'm glad I don't remember much before Schwartz; that's about where my suffering began. (I'm 26) So glad the sun finally came up!!!
Was at this game with my cousin and uncle. After Verner stripped the ball and scored we starting to make our way towards the exits. I'm watching glimpses of the final few minutes through the TV's on the concourse. As soon as we got to the gates of no return the Lions recovered the onside kick and there were fans running back to the gates from outside trying to get back in the stadium. Next thing there's a crowd of people outside the stadium gates trying to catch the final seconds on the jumbotron. Once the Lions forced OT the crowed got bigger and we started walking towards the Korean BLVD bridge to get a better view of the Jumbotron, and once again there was a crowd of people lined up on the bridge, some even drove back and parked their cars on the shoulder on the bridge to watch the OT. Also this was the 1st OT game were a field goals on the 1st drive doesn't end the game
This was probably the highlight game of Jake lockers career sadly. If he wasn't so injury prone I think he could have been better. He had great arm strength and was quick on his feet.
